Qualification of Teacher's Assistant

This diploma thesis deals with the qualification requirements for the role of teacher's assistants.The main aim of this thesis is to find out a level of satisfaction of teacher's assistants with the current form of qualification courses for teachers assistant role. The diploma thesis consists of four chapters, three of them are theoretical and the last chapter is a practical part. Theoretical part defines legislative background for the role of teacher's assistant, preferred personal traits, abilities and skills, the scope of work and the possibility of obtaining professional qualification and further education for the role of teacher's assistants. Also, there is a comparison of the teacher's assistant role in Czech Republic and abroad.

Czech language in deaf children's lower secondary education

Presented bachelor's thesis is focused on problems of teaching of Czech language to deaf and hard of hearing students on lower secondary education. The first part of the thesis provides general description of hearing impairment, communication options for deaf and hard of hearing people and basic information on educating deaf and hard of hearing pupils. Next part is focused on teaching of Czech language to deaf and hard of hearing pupils containing listing of available materials, description of differences between educating a pupil who prefers Czech language in communication and pupil who prefers Czech Sign Language. It also define language competencies in written speech of deaf and hard of hearing pupils. The goal is to call attention to very small number of universal research works focused on language competencies of deaf and hard of hearing pupils, pinpoint the current deprivation of teaching materials for pupils who prefer Czech language in communication and prepare a suitable worksheet for pupils who prefer Czech languege based on the gain knowledge.

Costs and benefits of alcohol probition in the Czech republic

This diploma thesis compares the profits and costs of the prohibition adopted in the Czech Republic during September 2012. The prohibition that lasted two weeks was a reaction of the Czech government on series of intoxication due to the proof of toxic methanol. The thesis detects, based on the comparison of the value of saved lives and costs that the prohibition cause, the effectivity of the government interference on the market oriented economy. The profits of the prohibition are defined as a value of saved lives of people, who would die because of the intoxication if the prohibition would not be adopted. The value of the human life is defined by DALY (disability-adjusted life years), the willingness to pay for prolongation of own life and the amount of potential juridical refunds. The costs of the prohibition are formulated as a value of unsold goods and services. Diploma thesis considers also impact of prohibition on tax collection. We can state that, based on the cost-benefit analysis, the adopted prohibition was economically effective.

The influence of the scrappage bonus on german car industry

If and how much, the scrappage bonus influenced the number of first registered cars in Germany? This is the question addressed in this bachelor thesis. The empirical analysis method, difference-in-differences was used for the investigation. Findings are; in consequence of the scrappage bonus, there was an increase in the average amount of the first registered cars about 24.5 % (or 922 per million inhabitants); the end of the scrappage bonus caused the decrease of amount of the first registered cars about 23.56 % (or 835 per million inhabitants). Also in the others categories studied, the increase of first registered cars as a consequence of the scrappage bonus and decrease by the end of scrappage bonus is visible.
