Leadership style and job satisfaction
I když vazba spokojenosti například na výkonnost není zcela jednoznačná, zcela jistě souvisí s fluktuací a absentérstvím zaměstnanců, jejichž ekonomický dopad zanedbatelný není.
Psychological aspects of gender at work and in management
Efficient competency model
Hoffmannová, Anna ; Štikar, Jiří (referee) ; Riegel, Karel (advisor)
Methodology of competencies developed from researches focused on determining the properties and characteristics which are involved in the distinction between average and superior performance. A contribution of competency model is that it helps employees to identify the success criteria required to be successful in their current or future job. Determination of requirements for certain positions allows subsequently to compare a current level of skills of employees with the required ones. An effective competency model supports and contributes to the objectives strategy goals of the organization. The theoretical part of the work summarizes the current approaches and findings on this issue. In the practical part, we test and verify competency model. Using a revision of one competency model and creating a new model subsequently we check whether the model used in the company reflects really the strategic needs and whether is linked to others HR processes. For this purpose, the model is subjected to complete analysis that determines gaps and opportunities for improvement. Results are implemented in the solution of the new situation. The work emphasizes the idea that competency model is not universal and the effectiveness of their applications lies in their abilities to be identified, defined, understood and...
Coaching and typology of personality
Riethof, Norbert ; Riegel, Karel (advisor) ; Rymeš, Milan (referee)
This work describes theoretical background of coaching and it compares coaching with other methods in human resources development areas. The main context is the usage of coaching in corporate organizations. This work also combines coaching methodology with personality type approaches, in this case through the lenses of MB TI. Description of a developmental project implementation for an IT organization in the Czech Republic provides a framework in which coaching is shown as a main component of such a developmental project. It also explores the relationship between theoretically derived developmental needs of individuals and those of empirical origin. In a closing section it provides a view on status of coaching both nowadays and in the future. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

The further part reviews emerging research areas, each of which provides useful insight in to how negotiators subjectively understand the negotiation: mental models in negotiation; how concems of ethics, faimess and values define the rul es of the game being played; how the selection of a communication medium impacts the way the game is played; how negotiators organize and simplify their understandings; rehirth of social factors in the psychological study, including social relationships, egocentrism, motivated illusions and emotion. How culture affects negotiation processes and outcomes and how psychology can contribute to diplomacy is closing theoretical part. Critical in the development and outcomes of negotiations is the social value orientation - the preference for certain...
