The Steel Structure of a Hangar
Růžičková, Markéta ; Pilgr, Milan (referee) ; Štrba, Michal (advisor)
The purpose of this dissertation is to take into consideration the design and the steel structure assessment of the hangar for small propeller aircraft type Cessna. The platform dimensions are 40,0 by 60,0 metres. Headroom is around 10,0 metres. The object’s location is in Brno. The main structural material is steel S355J2. There are two initial geometric alternatives, in other words structural modifications of desired solution. These are spatial truss arc tie beam and garland tie beam. The two alternatives were tentatively designed according to their dimensions and the main supporting elements of both alternatives were also assessed and considered. The alternatives were finally evaluated and one option was selected for detailed processing. In turn of the chosen option, there had been drawing of detailed analysis of the main load bearing parts of the construction with joints and some other details included. Furthermore there is drawing documentation and supervisor’s technical report attached. The valid standards CSN EN were used in processing of this dissertation.
Investigation of sugar modified pyrimidine nucleosides as potential inhibitors of Thymidine (TP) and Uridine (UP) phosphorylasis
Růžičková, Markéta ; Wsól, Vladimír (advisor) ; Boušová, Iva (referee)
1 Abstract of the thesis RŮŽIČKOVÁ M.; INVESTIGATION OF SUGAR MODIFIED PYRIMIDINE NUCLEOSIDES AS POTENTIAL INHIBITORS OF THYMIDINE (TP) AND URIDINE (UP) PHOSPHORYLASE Key words: uridine phosphorylase, thymidine phosphorylase, nucleoside, inhibitor, anticancer chemotherapy, substrate specifity The work deals with the investigation of novel potential inhibitors of recombinant thymidine and uridine phosphorylases from E. coli and Salmonella typhimurium. The main goals of this study are the determination of kinetic parameters for natural substrates (thymidine and uridine) for recombinant TP and UP, assessment of the role of phosphate anion in the enzymatic transformations and search for new inhibitors of TP and UP. Study of UP and TP substrate specifity and activity under the various reaction conditions is desired to obtain better view to their functions and to design novel structures of potencial inhibitors. The determination of the Michaelis constant KM and reaction rate Vmax was performed at the spectrophotometer Varian Cary-300 Bio. The representation of obtained kinetic data we used the Lineweawer-Burk plot. The next point of my work was the determination of the enzymatic activity and their substrate specifity for some pyrimidine analogues by HPLC analysis of reaction mixtures. Tested compounds...
Influence of the satellite spatial resolution and scan time on convective storms'overshooting tops detection
Růžičková, Markéta ; Setvák, Martin (advisor) ; Pešice, Petr (referee)
This paper deals with the possibilities of convective storms' overshooting tops detection as seen from satellites. These tops are characterized by a rapid development, their size is only a few kilometres in diameter and they are connected with the presence of hazardous weather. They can be identified as small clusters of very low temperatures in satellite imagery, but this nature depends on the scan time and the scan frequency of the specific satellite and on the other features presence at tops of convective storm. The temporal variability of minimum IR brightness temperatures at the cloud tops of selected convective storms is studied in this paper, namely on the basis of the Meteosat Second Generation (MSG) satellite datasets. But the main emphasis of this work is to analyse the influence of the operative meteorological satellites' spatial resolution on the minimal IR brightness temperature, which is related to height of the cloud top. The datasets acquired by the sensors SEVIRI, AVHRR and MODIS have been chosen for these purposes. Mostly the convective storms that occurred over the Europe in the year 2008 have been diagnosed. The scan time difference must be taken into account when datasets from MSG and the other polar orbit satellites are compared and this difference should be minimal. The minimum IR...
Religion in the Czech Republic: Basic analysis and the relationship to selected socio-demographic topics
Růžičková, Markéta ; Šídlo, Luděk (advisor) ; Fialová, Ludmila (referee)
Religion in the Czech Republic: Basic analysis and the relationship to selected socio-demographic topics Abstract The aim of this thesis is to analyse the inhabitants of the Czech Republic according to religious belief using data from surveys and also individual 2011 census data. Contemporary position of religion in society is described in the first part, focusing on characteristics of believers and non-believers. Results of surveys concerning religious belief in our region are stated in detail in the next part, oriented mainly on the period after 1989. The part with the analysis of differences in attitudes to problematic demographic behaviour according to religious belief follows, using the data from European Values Study and International Social Survey Programme. Individual data from 2011 census are analysed more in detail in the last part, focusing on newly spread religious groups and furthermore there is an analysis of believers using logistic regression. Keywords: religion, sample survey, Czech Republic, attitudes, atheism
Regional differentiation of the population in the Czech Republic according to religious creed
Růžičková, Markéta ; Šídlo, Luděk (advisor) ; Fialová, Ludmila (referee)
Regional differentiation of the population in the Czech Republic according to religious creed Abstract The aim of this thesis is to analyze the population of the Czech Republic according to their religion, using the data from the census and current records. The first part describes the results of censes concerning religion between the years 1921 and 2011, focusing on the changes in the numbers of believers in the individual denominations. The next part is concerned with the proportioning of the believers in the individual districts in the Czech Republic according to censes 1991, 2001 and 2011, the districts with the highest and lowest share of believers and the analysis of the differences between the individual years. Furthermore it supplies analysis of the influence of religion on the demographic, social and economic characteristics of population, selected on the basis of consulted literature. The individual characteristics are analyzed using statistic regression, factor and cluster analysis and the influence of the resulting factors is described. Keywords: religion, census, Czech Republic, regional differences, atheism

Legal position of an arbitrator in international commercial arbitration
Růžičková, Markéta ; Pauknerová, Monika (advisor) ; Brodec, Jan (referee)
The thesis is dedicated to the issue of the legal status of arbitrator in international commercial arbitration. Arbitration is not a new phenomenon, much of its development has taken place in the 19th century, when alongside with arbitration ad hoc an institutional arbitration has also been created and permanent arbitration courts were established. The best known permanent arbitration court is undoubtedly the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce in Paris. The first chapter focuses on the insight into the history of arbitration. Certain terms relating to arbitration are defined in the first chapter in particular the concept of international commercial arbitration. The question of arbitrability, ie. admissibility of arbitration, is also addressed there. In the second chapter the types of arbitration are analyzed - ad hoc and institutional arbitration, facultative and obligatory arbitration, traditional and online arbitration, international and domestic arbitration; as well as different types of arbitration agreements - agreement on an arbitrator, the arbitration clause, unlimited compromise, asymmetric, pathological and combined arbitration clause. The third chapter is dedicated to the advantages and disadvantages of arbitration compared to proceedings in...
