Correction of lumbar spine strain during aerobic exercises

Title: Correction of lumbar spine strain during aerobic exercises Goal of the study: Awareness of excessive lumbar spine strain during the aerobic lessons, suggest of correctional practices, and to determine if the correction is useful and effective. Method: The task is executed as an experiment with the focus on the correctional exercises for lumbar spine. Experimental group was created using sixty women from three different exercising groups. The aerobic lessons tracked were the same in length and content. Two groups were subject to corrective intervention while one control group was left without intervention. The two groups with intervention were using suggested breathing and compensation exercises. All sixty members of the experimental group answered a questionnaire with questions focused on subjective feelings in lumbar spine. Significance of subjective feelings was measured using VAS scale. Results: Painful feeling in the lumbar spine was reduced after using breathing and compensation exercises. Title of Diploma Thesis: Pupils' movement activities in a class with the rehabilitative educational programme in a special elementarv school Aim ofDiploma Thesis: The goal ofthis diploma thesis is to specify the possibilities of using the movement activities and the Snoezelen method for the development of pupils with serious and deep mental retardation in the rehabilitative class of the Special Elementary and Nursery School in Rakovník. This aim is reached through the analysis and implementation ofthe rehabilitative PE classes. Another goal ofthis diploma thesis is to evaluate the suitability ofthe Snoezelen method for the pupils ofthe rehabilitative class and to make the movement activities part of the pupils' visualized daily schedule so that they become part of their weeldy structured programme. Regular PE lessons should positively influence the weight loss of pupils with serious mental retardation. Another aim of this diploma thesis is to make a DVD with the videorecording of exercises which the chosen pupils from the rehabilitative class can do at home. Methods: Casuistry was used by six pupils from the rehabilitative class of the special elementary school. Title of the thesis: Special training for mentally handicapped with motivation segment rafting. Aim of the thesis: The aim of the thesis was to evaluate the effect of exercise on selected variables oflocomotor system fimction. Methodology: The project was conceived as a case study and it so the participation of ten people with mental handicapped (age about 23 years). The group was examined using a hasíc investigation method for evaluating posture and muscular power. The study lasted six months. Three mounths the group didnť exercise (do gymnastics) and following three mounths the group done special examine. Playing in Heterogeneous Classes - Comparative Study on Kindergartens of Common versus Waldorf Type

The topic of this work is "Playing in Heterogeneous Classes - Comparative Study on Kindergartens of Common versus Waldorf Type". The theoretical part deals with the definition of the pre-school aged children's need of playing, the development of playing, the need of a playing partner and the function of toys. Then it focuses on playing in the General Educational Plan for Pre-School Education, playing integration into the daily routine of a kindergarten and benefit of playing for a child and a teacher. It describes the specific features of a heterogeneous group of children and their relationship to playing. It also discusses the characteristics of a Waldorf kindergarten. In the end of the part the School Educational Plan of the studied schools is shown. The practical part of this work is based on monitoring children during their free playing time in the chosen kindergartens. The time daily devoted to free playing, the ways the teachers react to free playing and which types of playing are most common were the objectives of the research. The work then names toys recommended for a heterogeneous class by the teachers, toys chosen by children, how younger children are integrated into the older children's playing and vice versa.
