Life cycle and development of a manager

The main goal of this work is to provide information about a manager' s professional life as it is a crucial part of his whole life cycle. There are some basic qualities a manager needs he/she should use them effectively when leading and managing human resources. Considering the fact that a manager is a living human as well, I analyze and point out important moments and influences which form his career and working life. In four chapters that this paper consists of, I describe the manager' s personality and ma in qualities that are specific to hi s field or work, including a wide range of roles he must fit into. I focus also on the life cycle of human resources because there exists a certain process after one is hired to a position in a company. Furthermore, before we reach adulthood and aur working life starts up, there are specific moments when we all are deciding what aur career will be about. The main point of the thesis is an employee recruitment and his external assurance. The thesis is aimed at the process of recruitment in system of personal activitites and implies a human resources management as a new concept of personal labour. The matter of employment is represented by description of individual personalistic activities, that precede and follow the process of employee recruitment. The entire employee recruitment process is divided into several steps, which can be used as an instruction manual of employee selection procedure. Attention is paid to a method of recruiting employees through internet, which is demonstrated by describing activities of the leading European erecruitment company and it's job portals. Another importat section is aimed to an outsourcing of employee recruitment. There are listed advantages and disadvantages of a personal consultancy and specifications of the outsourcing. Complete process of recruitment of employees in the Agency H. is included as an example of outsourcing. Therefore the thesis includes work experiences and also represents a general view of labour recruitment.
Motivation programme for teachers in a language school

This thesis is focused on the area of motivation programmes based on different motivation theories. In the first part I try to define the concept of motivation, explain the related concepts and I also mention the division of motivation. I consider the division of motivational and demotivational (Herzberg motivation theory) factors particularly important. The next part is based on these factors. It describes motivation programmes in areas of remuneration and appreciation, job enrichment, employee involvement and participation, employee education and development and reducing demotivation. For all programmes I try to find their theoretical sources and positive and negative sides. In the second part I create a specific frame of a motivation programme concurring to the theoretical part. I think about which types of programmes in which form can be used in the specific environment of a language school. The programme is designed for teachers. The contribution of this thesis should be especially the summary of different areas of motivation programmes and their theoretical basis.
Maternity leave, education and employment market

The thesis "Maternity leave, education and employment market" discusses problems parents in Czech republic who balance their obligations to both work and family encounter. The work adverts to difficulties of returning to a job after a maternity/parental leave. The most frequent problems parents returnig to work are coping with are: securing a job, outdated qualifications and work experience or absence of a flexible working conditions. The thesis shows ways and means to solve this problems. Special attention has been paid to the topic of education of parents on or after parental leave. It includes actual possibilities and particular examples of educational various projects (eg. motivational, focused on language skills development, enterpreneurial skills courses). Two of the mentioned educational projects have also been evaluated in this thesis. Elearning programs seem to be especially suitable for the target group of parents on parental leave. The thesis also includes some suggestions on how to motivate employers to implement the work-life balance policies, such as flexible working hours or home based work.

Proces s of the motivation is more difficult than most managers think. It is not possible to use the same attitude in motivation of different employees. People seem to have different needs, values, preferences and they set their own targets. Theories of motivation want to analyze and describe these differences. The company should understand its people, to be able to choose proper stimulative instruments, which will influence working behavior of empIoyees, their satisfaction and performance. The motivation pIan in the company presents system of rules and measures of which main goal is to achieve a good motivation of employees, to improve their satisfaction and optimal performance. This work wants to show how the particular company can setup good motivation pIan for its effective functioning and how to design organizations that maximize productivity.
Scheme of further education in the company GEFCO Czech Republic

This thesis is dedicated to the training and education of employees in the logistic company Gefco. The employee training in Gefco takes currently place only occasionally and unsystematically and this thesis puts forward a concept of a training system how it could look like and work in the future 6 with all different actions which are needed to be taken for the system to work properly. This theme is elaborated on the basis of technical literature in the area of theory and on the basis of own experience in the area of praxis. Training in Gefco is divided into four basic areas - general training and development, management training, language training and health and safety training together with related courses; out of these four the most voluminous part of the thesis is dedicated to the area of general training and development. The training system itself is divided into following stages - identification of training needs, scheduling of the training, realization of the training and training evaluation. Within each training area all of these stages are analyzed and it is put forward which procedures should be put into practice and what is needed to be changed and improved in order for the training in Gefco to become an effectively working system. Graduation thesis HR processes of Microsoft with detail on potential of outsourcing concentrates on problems of company processes with correspondence of nowadays trends of society as well as dynamics of business. This concentration is important because of Microsoft is a dynamic company and not only that; it is company which wants improve itself. The self-improvement is not only for the outside world, to make better branding, but it's going from the inside of the company, because simplifying of processes is the key to bigger success and effectiveness. In this thesis you'll find out more about processes of Human Resources department and above that, I'll concentrate on processes which were identified as ineffective and as processes with potential of outsourcing. Organizační kultura je to, co vytváří charakter organizace. Způsobuje, že lidé v organizaci myslí a jednají určitým způsobem. Skládá se z prvků, mezi něž patří základní předpoklady, hodnoty, postoje, normy chování, prvky materiální a nemateriální povahy. Tyto prvky se nachází v několika vrstvách, přičemž vnější vrstva, kde se nachází artefakty, je nejsnadněji pozorovatelná. Hlubší vrstvy obsahují základní předpoklady a hodnoty, ale jsou pozorovatelné jen skrze prvky z vnější vrstvy - jazyk, historky a mýty, zvyky, rituály a ceremoniály. Poznání kultury je však možné zejména z prvků z vnitřních vrstev, hodnot a základních předpokladů.

This bachelor thesis is focused on compensation of employees as one of possible ways of motivating them. Motivation is the moving power of any human activity and if an employer wishes to maintain high performance of his employees, he needs to be concerned with multitude of different ways of motivating and stimulating them. Different people have different needs, goals and ways of reaching them and this results in considerable complexity of motivational process. This work is concerned with different basic motivational theories and tries to answer the question why do people actually work. Following motivational theories that have received attention and appreciation are being described in more details: Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs, Herzberg's Motivation-Hygiene Theory (Two factor Theory), Vroom's Expectancy Theory, Adams' Equity Theory and McClelland's Theory of Needs. We distinguish between inner and outer compensation. Outer compensation includes financial compensation like wages or salary, which are related to a certain working position in an organization, to importance of such position and can be also related to performance of the employee, and also material and immaterial employee benefits.
