Specifics of nutrition in hospice care

Introduction: Hospice palliative care is provided to patients in the terminal phase of life with the aim of ensuring quality of remaining life with an emphasis on their individual needs and wishes. An integral part of palliative care is nutritional care and ensuring the patient's adequate nutrition. The theoretical part of the thesis describes the principles, standards and concept of development of palliative care, and provides a comprehensive overview of the types and forms of hospice care currently provided in the Czech Republic, and concludes with a consideration of nutrition and hydration in the terminal phase of the disease. In the practical part, the results of the questionnaire study are processed and presented. Objective of the thesis: The main objective of my bachelor's thesis is to determine whether an individual approach is applied to nutrition in the inpatient care of a selected hospice. The secondary objective is to discover whether patients in inpatient hospice care are satisfied with the nutrition and meals provided. New Layout Methods in a CSS Rendering Engine

The goal of this thesis is to explore the CSSBox experimental rendering engine, to study new ways of layout the content of web pages, which are Grid layout and Flexbox layout, using CSS language and to design appropriate modifications for their integration into CSSBox library. At first, the CSS language is described, including detailed descriptions of the new layouts, followed by a proposal for the solution itself. The thesis also deals with a detailed description of the implementation part, which is then tested on a test set. The conclusion of the thesis evaluates the results, including the reported shortcomings and other possibilities for development.

Grid Layout Implementation in a CSS Rendering Engine

The goal of this thesis is to study the architecture of the CSSBox experimental rendering engine and propose a way to expand library with new options of grid layout content. The opening chapters contain an overview of problematics and subsequently a solution is proposed. The proposed architecture is implemented and tested. The conclusion is dedicated to evaluation of results and options futher development are outlined.

Data Independency of the FIT-Miner Data Mining System

System for data mining Fit-Miner is now dependant on only one specific DBMS. This master’s thesis deals with analysis of implementation that works with database, modules and functions for data mining. Next it shows the set of changes which will allow FIT-Miner to work with another DBMS. And finally, a description of the implementation of these changes.

This thesis focuses on corporate culture and its influence on the work efficiency. Based on the evaluation of information obtained through a survey, interviews with company employees and observations, an evaluation of corporate culture of company IBM Delivery Center in Brno Central Europe was created. The conclusion contains suggestions how to increase work efficiency as a result of changes of corporate culture elements.

Automatic Selective Breeding Evidence

This work is concerned about breeding and its central evidence through a web interface. Aim of this work was to implemenet a web portal by a scheme, which allows accounting of animals, their features, competitions and other informations. It allows users to form groups, add friends, and possibility to share animals between them. Portal was implemented by AJAX and GWT technologies.

Preliminary aerodynamic analysis of remotely controlled model with jet propulsion

This bachelor´s thesis deals with aerodynamic analysis of unmanned aircraft and subsequent changes to design of wing, its position and wing-fuselage junction. In this work emphasis is laid on flow separation, its interaction with other flow structures and its influence on aerodynamic properties. The goal of these changes to the aircraft is ensuring sufficient stability and controllability in low as well as high angle of attack flight. AVL, XFLR5 and CFD methods were used in the thesis. In case of inaccuracy of CFD calculation, two backup wing related modifications were prepared.

802.11n and 802.11e standards for wireless networks

This bachelor thesis is focused on broad issue of wireless network standards. It theoretically describes the most famous standards of IEEE 802.11 group, functions and behavior. It also closely analyzes the new standard 802.11n and the specification of 802.11e, WMM. The paper includes a report of practical tests of standards 802.11n and WMM, which serves for an objective appreciation of capabilities of these norms.
