Russian reactions to"colour revolutions"
Novák, Adam ; Slačálek, Ondřej (advisor) ; Soušková, Tereza (referee)
This case study is dedicated to the Russian counter-revolutionary policies that were developed in response to the heavily supported democracy promotion by the western countries and the so- called colour revolutions in Russia's near abroad, being Rose revolution in Georgia, Orange revolution in Ukraine and Tulip revolution in Kyrgyzstan. Why did these events invoke the need to create a patriotic civil society inside Putin's regime? What tools were used to create such patriotic civil society? In this context, the thesis considers the role of political technologists Gleb Pavlovsky and Vladislav Surkov, the main engineers of counter-revolutionary policies and authors of the sovereign democracy concept. The thesis will analyse the role of the government organised youth movement Nashi that developed an anti-fascist discourse based on sovereign democracy. I connect the concept of civil society with thoughts of political philosophers such as John Locke, Thomas Paine, Robert Putnam and Alexis de Tocqueville who associated the civil society concept with certain civic virtues. Petr Kopecký and Cas Mudde provide the theoretical framework to classify the concept of ‚uncivil society'. Finally, the youth movement Nashi is classified based on criteria associated with ‚civil' and ‚uncivil' society. Key words: colour...

Novák, Adam ; Sobotka, Michal (advisor) ; Derlich, Stanislav (referee)
in English A shipment of waste in European Union is really important part of the waste economy. A need of its control raised with the free movement of goods in the EU, because the unlimited shipment of waste would lead to irreplaceable damage on the environment. Regulaton No. 1013/2006, which is the most important document in this area, had to be properly adapted, that it could be its applicaton secured. The main topic of my thesis is just not only the analysis of the Regulaton No. 1013/2006, but also the comparison of its adaptaton in the Czech Republic and Germany.
Numerical Integrators in Control Theory
Novák, Adam ; Veigend, Petr (referee) ; Šátek, Václav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deal with the topic of partial differential equations of parallel solutions from focus on control of dynamic systems working with real-time built-in control model. First, it is focused on real-time systems. The next section deals with the analysis of differential equations and types of differential equations. Consequently, numerical integration and derivation are discussed. The thesis deals with individual numerical methods, which are used to calculate a differential equations. This thesis also deals with individual fluids that can influence the calculation of differencial equations in the Modern Taylor method. The result is a competitive application that allows a quick and accurate solution of real-time management model and the subsequent calculation of the differential equations generated using the Modern Taylor Series Method.
Walpurgis Night phenomenon in contemporary Czech Republic
Novák, Adam ; Janeček, Petr (advisor) ; Štěpánová, Irena (referee)
The Bachelor thesis is focused on analysing an issue of celebrating Walpurgis Night in the Czech Republic, especially focusing on freetekno community and its ways of keeping this phenomenon alive. Main question of the thesis is: Can contemporary subculture keep a traditional calendar custom alive? As they are going through noticeable changes nowadays and freetekno community, as one of the youngest subcultures, returns to the roots of these customs in its own particular manner. The second part is aimed on celebrating the Walpurgis Night in Czech territory especially from the nineteenth and twentieth century. The third part contains a brief summary of subculture studies and an introduction to freetekno subculture as a contemporary young community, which tends to rejuvenate an archaic form of rite. The conclusion describes the way freetekno subculture could help to keep the Walpurgis Night alive. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Technologies for electricity storage
Novák, Adam ; Lisý, Martin (referee) ; Škorpík, Jiří (advisor)
This project deals with description of individual ways of electric energy accumulation. Accumulation itself becomes an essential part of the electricity grid due to rising electricity fluctuations from renewable sources and uneven consumption from users. For each technology, the principle of functioning and the advantages or disadvantages are explained. Based on this informations, it is specified suitable application. At the end, the state-of-the-art technology and modern equipment for storing electricity are presented.
Horizontal driven roller conveyor for a transport of the storage
Novák, Adam ; Hloska, Jiří (referee) ; Kašpárek, Jaroslav (advisor)
This thesis deal with proposal of driven horizontal roller conveyor for storage drive, that the will transport metal material in range of storage and pallet drive. Aim of this thesis is functional calculation of roller conveyor, determination of main parameters of conveyor, calculation of solidity of shell of driving roller and shaft, design and control of frame. The thesis contains drawing documentation of conveyor assembly, conveyor section assembly, driving roller assembly and detailed drawings of shaft and shell of driving roller.
Role of Middle Management in Innovation Process
Novák, Adam ; Nový, Ivan (advisor) ; Pauknerová, Daniela (referee) ; Vraný, Jan (referee)
Middle managers operate in an environment close to activities of their firm and in interaction with this environment identify opportunities, challenges, and subsequently generate innovation alternatives. While doing so they - among other - utilize also weak ties within their social network, which permeate internal and external environment of the firm and enable entry of new and divergent information in the innovation process. Middle managers communicate selected information to senior management levels, and the communication exchange between the middle and top management facilitates compliance with the firms innovation strategy, ensures resources as well as high level support for the implementation of innovation; middle managements information inputs at the same time influence senior management in defining the firms innovation strategy. In contact with ordinary employees (and lower levels of management), middle management compensates for differences between strategy and current activities of the firm, promotes innovation and overcomes resistance. To ensure support for innovation within the organization, middle managers draw, inter alia, on their internal networks of strong ties, including their informal components. Middle management acts as a communication bridge, which helps to balance the tensions originating from the differences between environments of the senior management and employees. From this perspective, the communication interfaces between the different levels of management, or the companys hierarchy, seem to play a critical role; my research at the same time indicates there are significant differences in perception between middle and senior management of intracompany processes enabling innovation.
Vliv devalvace české koruny na poptávku po incomingovém cestovním ruchu
Novák, Adam
The text identifies significant determinants of the demand for incoming tourism of the Czech Republic, which may focus economic policy makers in the active promotion of tourism in the country. In the empirical part of the work are created some estimates of linear regression models and consequently panel dataset regression describing the influences of selected determinants of the demand for incoming tourism. As the basis for a regression analysis is a general one-equation approach chosen according to Dwyer and Forsyth (2006), applied to the conditions in the Czech Republic
Methodology of Innovative Software Product Development
Novák, Adam ; Buchalcevová, Alena (advisor) ; Mittner, Jan (referee)
This thesis deals with the domain of software product methodologies in the context of innovation. In the opening part of the thesis the field of innovation and creativity is analysed. In the next chapter the reasons justifying the necessity to create a methodology for innovative software product development are given. The main intention of this thesis was to create a new methodology of innovative software product development; so the next section focuses on this goal. The new methodology relies on current agile software development methodologies, best practices in innovation management and approaches to startup creation. Based on these principles, the requirements are set up and individual components selected that will form the new methodology. A model of the new methodology was created using tool Eclipse Process Framework. Consequently the methodology was validated by its prospective users.
