Montessori methods of education and their application in teaching science

The theoretical part of the diploma thesis focuses on the importance of nature in the pedagogy of Marie Montessori. It points out the importance of using appropriate selected tools and the application of teaching techniques of Marie Montessori. It also focuses on the secondary education reform plan and provides examples of activities for students aged 12 to 18. In the practical part the tool inspired by Montessori pedagogy called Stromové pexeso was created. The tool is used for identifying tree species. The tool offers many ways how to use it. The methodology of working with the tool was verified in practice at the 2nd level of primary school and vocational school. The purpose was to find out the practical use of the tool and whether its using can affect the better memorization of the subject matter. The most students appreciated the use of the tool and it was discovered that playing with toll has a positive effect on memorizing the subject matter.

Educational potential of combat sports training on adolescents' behavior

Anotation This thesis examines both positive or negative educational potencial of combat sports training on youth's education. By doing in-depth interviews with expert trainers I searched for their own professional opinions on this subject. Collected data were analysed and compared with similar studies from the past. The aim of this thesis was to support or refute previous studies and my research expectations that show combat sports as a fully respected part of a sports industry capable of positive influence on its participants psyche and behavior. Results of the research confirmed that training of these sports can help adolescents cultivate good manners and healthy habits.
Relationship of Family and School at the Beginning of School Attendance

This thesis deals with the relationship between family and school at the beginning of primary school. The theoretical part defines the matters of the cooperation between family and school, it explains terms like family, school and the relationship between them. Next it deals with historical roots of the relationship, conditions for the effective cooperation between family and school and specifications in curriculum together with some educational plans and initiatives. The practical parts presents varied research which is focused on the concrete level of the cooperation between family and school at the beginning of primary school and which is marked by the sign Parents are welcome. The evaluative instrument is Survey for parents, results of it create the base for the interview with the head teacher of the school. Complementary research finds the opinions of the teachers in the matter of the cooperation between family and school. The results of the research proved that the quality of the cooperation between the family and school at this grammar school is at high level. Education Problems of Roma (Gypsies)

My central tendency is to make good or not to make good that Gypsies' relation to the education and institutions of education is negative and also to specify factors which influence this situation. We can consider that as a fall of the bad situation with education of Gypsies. I made a decision to evidence this tendency by two researches. The first of them was focused on confrontation of opinions on problems with education of Gypsies by teachers who work at common elementary schools. I've chosen two different elementary schools which are situated in different conditions and localities. I've elected list of questions as a method of research. Results of these questionaries show that there isn't difference in the opinion on problems with Gipsy education dependent on location and conditions of place where was done this research. This research shows that address teachers considered Gypsies relation to education as a negative. The second research was focused on opinions of teachers who are used to work with Gipsy children and opinions of Gypsies themselves as well. I chose list of questions as a method of research again. The Role of Teaching Practice in Development of Student of the Teachers Training for Primary School

The diploma thesis named Pedagogical practices and their tasks for primary school teachers' development deals with the topic of the pedagogical practices at colleges and universities. The thesis finds out the extent of students' being ready for carrying the practice out. The following task of the thesis is to describe what the students and beginner teachers think about the practice. The theoretical part is aimed at the pedagogical practice process and its connection with the primary teachers' education. Important part of the thesis is to compare the time extent of the practice at different colleges and universities. The practical part works with the qualitative research. The used methods for this part are questionnaire and interview. The pedagogical faculty students describe their experience with the pedagogical practices. The beginner teachers evaluate the level of the practices.
