Methodology for obtaining volunteers in the NGO Duha

(in English) The work focuses on volunteering in social services, which is in our country increasingly developing , but due to the historical development , is still lagging behind the Western countries . The work deals with the management of volunteering. In some areas it is inspired by international experience, primarily by experience in Germany and the United Kingdom. Management volunteering is divided into five areas - needs mapping and planning, recruitment of volunteers, preparing and contracts with volunteers, management and motivation and supervision and appraisal. In each area the keep steps, which are according to the literature required for a successful volunteer program, are described. The aim of the work is to create, based on the study of domestic and foreign literature and consultation with staff organizations, a comprehensive "methodology for the recruitment and work with volunteers in the company DUHA. This methodology reflects a management cycle of working with volunteers in all areas and is based on the needs of both the organization and clients.

Homosexual couples as adoptive parents

This task deals with homosexuality and progression in attitude in society. Also maps the choices which homosexual people have in the Czech Republic. What opinions they have to meet each other and what kind of help they can use. Second chapter is focused on parenthood and choices which homosexuals can impose to become parents. The chapter is about children needs and their evolution. Third chapter is focused on adoption. Practical part consists from interviews with homosexual families. Families are ten together.

The possibilities of using a story in a correlation at work with people traumatized by brain injury

This thesis contains two parts, theoretical one and practical one. The first part is mostly about a theoretical definition. It is mainly focused on following terms: story, life story, narrative approach, trauma, acquired disablement. Attention is paid to a target group (people with a brain trauma), they are also important in the practical part later. The thesis mentions the most frequent occasions of a brain injury/damage and their potencial consequences. Each information is connected with the main topic of this thesis. The organisation, where stories were used as a part of Social Therapy Workshop, is briefly introduced at the end of the first part. In the practical part some findings are devolved into a profession. The stories, which were collected during the direct work with clients of Social Therapy Workshop, are the most significant texts of this part. There is a space for client's particular life stories, they are analyzed than. The personal topic of each client is highlighted and the thesis provides various interpretations. The summary of the whole cooperation is situated at the end of this part. It includes links to process of individual consultations and individual plan fulfilment. The design of the training programme for field social workers in excluded localities

The thesis "The construction of an educational program for field social workers in excluded areas" focuses in its topic on one of the social work approach - field social work. It addresses the field social work performed in the areas in the Usti region which are labelled as "socially excluded Roma areas" and primarily addresses the personality of social worker and his or her professional competencies. The aim of the thesis is a construction of an educational program reflecting knowledge, skills and competencies needed for effective and high quality professional performance. I based this topic on knowledge from the field social work, work with ethnic minority approaches and andragogy. I also included topic of Roma people focused on specific needs of Roma arising from their history, culture and tradition. I also mention recent situation in social exclusion of Roma people in the Czech Republic. I analyze the knowledge, summarize it and strive to make a comprehensive view on this specific category of social work. I use a professiography - a method of systematic collecting of knowledge about profession to ensure that the educational program reflects not only the needs of target group but also the needs of field social workers. The specifics of working with children who have experienced physical abuse through the view of social workers

The aim of this Bachelor thesis was to find out how social workers work with children who had experienced a physical abuse and which strategies and methods they use during their work. Also, I wanted to discover all the involved subjects (organizations and other professionals) with whom the social workers cooperate in their job. Bachelor thesis is composed of the theoretical and the practical part. The beginning of my theoretical part is focused on issues regarding child physical abuse, historical aspects and also briefly the legislation of child rights protection. The other part concerns the risk factors of abusers and common features of families in which the abuse occurs. The last point of the theoretical part is to provide information about organisations and institutions in Prague which work with abused children and with other family members. The main sources were books, seminars, workshops and brochures I gained during my internship. The practical part is composed of two main subparts. Firstly, it is about the case studies of children who had experienced a physical abuse. The related materials were gained during my practice.
