The status of sport in primary drug prevention for students in upper primary school

Title of the thesis: The status of sport in primary drug prevention for students in upper primary school. Aim of the thesis: The aim of the thesis is to map the relation of drugs and students of upper primary school and to evaluate the role of sport in drug prevention. Methodology: The project was conceived as a questionnaire survey in which 161 students from 6th to 9th grade of a primary school participated. Data were obtained once in a particular primary school during a special lesson, which took place in all classes at the same time. Conclusion: The results show that there is inclination and the number of opportunities to experiment increasing with the age of students. Despite all the worries of the society about the setup of the young generation, it is possible to state that there is a minimum of really threatened individuals. The bid of drugs is almost unlimited in these days, yet the young people do not get hooked as it could look on the very first sight. The inclination to experience something new is and always has been one of the main characters of adolescence and the role of older generations is to offer alternatives that are more interesting than mere chemically induced changes of consciousness. Title: Effect of a comprehensive rehabilitation program of children with asthma bronchiale Objectives: The main objective of this thesis is to show the usefulness and necessity of physical therapy in children with bronchial asthma and how does it affect them. Another objective was to summarize the possible available methods with demonstrations of examples of individual exercises that can be used for this disease. The aim was also monitoring and evaluation of the patient's subjective feelings. Methods: In the thesis we carried out a single arm experiment, where we used comprehensive kinesiology analysis of individual subjects and the methods of lung function tests. From the lung function test, we chose the spirometry test by method of curve flow / capacity and also we used the peak expiratory flow monitoring using peak-flow-meter. We compared the subjective feelings of clients at the beginning and the end of the treatment program. In the period we watched the changes of value in individual measuring techniques. Results: We found that a comprehensive treatment of children asthma has a significant impact on their posture and also on the respiratory functions and subjective perception of individual symptoms investigated clients. - 1 - Abstract: Name of thesis: Usage of floating for regeneration Goals of thesis: Assess which aspects have influence on final enjoyment of the floating procedure by comparison of survey results of two client's groups. Determine what impact has the facility environment, staff approach and the manner and form of providing the services on client's mental condition, inducing pleasant relaxation atmosphere and the overall enjoyment from the procedure. Discover insufficiencies and try to eliminate them, to help to create optimal environmental conditions for the floating procedure. Method: This thesis has the character of qualitative empiric research. For the reseach has been used the exploring method with the technic of non-standardized questionnaires with closed as well as open qeustions. Examined population is a group of twenty people, 10 persons as a first time visitors and 10 persons regularly visiting the facility. Results: The research has verfied various aspects which have the impact on mental condition and enjoyment of the people. Quality of life of patient with cranial spinal lesion in spinal unit

17 Abstract Title: Quality of life of patients with transverse lesions of the cervical spinal cord at spinal unit. Aims: This thesis aims to evaluate the quality of life of patients with transverse cervical spinal injury treated with an elaborate system of comprehensive rehabilitation in the Spinal Unit, Regional Hospital in Liberec. Methods: In 10 men aged 24-65 years (average age was 47,5 years), with incomplete transverse lesions of traumatic cervical spinal cord, hospitalized at the spinal unit have been established neurological level and extent of spinal cord injury by ASIA scores, were evaluated using the functional level of independence SCIM scores and the questionnaire on quality of life using a standardized questionnaire SF 36 with additional questions. The objective methods were used walking tests. Examination and questionnaire survey was carried out on admission at the spinal unit, and upon discharge after completion of a comprehensive rehabilitation program. It was watched the change in subjective quality of life of patients who underwent a comprehensive rehabilitation program. Results: In 9 patients (90 %) occurred during hospitalization, to improve the level of neurological lesions in 2 of which (20 %) men were full treatment of neurological disability. The impact of 3-month exercise program of remedial physical education on selected parameters of the Senior Fitness Test.

Title: The impact of 3month exercise program of remedial physical education on selected parameters of the Senior Fitness Test. Objectives: The main task of the thesis was to find out whether physical fitness of seniors, after the 3month exercise can be improved program of remedial physical education. Methods: 16 women in the age of 60-82 years participated in the study. At the beginning and end of the program, they have been tested by following exercises of the Senior Fitness Test : 30- chair stand, Chair- sit- and reach, Back scratch, Foot and up go. Also, the test included standing on one leg. The exercise lessons were scheduled 1x for 12 weeks with the frequency once a week and contained elements of stretching, strengthening, coordinating exercise and relaxation. Results: The result showed that the majority (75%) of the tested woman improved strength of lower extremities evaluated by 30 chair stand. For tests on flexibility, results were unequivocal. More than 80 % of women has improved considerably in the combined test Foot up and go. In the assessment of the balance improvement was seen in 56 % of women. Physical activity education of individuals with type 2 diabetes

Title: Physical education of individuals with type 2 diabetes mellitus Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the effect of physical education of individuals with type 2 diabetes mellitus cured in diabetologic outpatient clinic of Genereal University Hospital in Prague. The physical education was focused on nordic walking. Methods: Eight patients of diabetological outpatient clinic were chosen by the doctor for this survey. The physical examination was carried out with seven patients. It involved anthropometrical measurements (weight, waist circumference) and blood collection for biochemical parameters assessment (glycemia, glycated hemoglobin). Two-minute step test was chosen for assessment of subject's physical fitness. Results: The physical activity education of individuals with type 2 diabetes mellitus doesn't increase the amount of their physical activity. The physical activity of type 2 diabetes mellitus individuals is rather low as well as their exercise adherence. Nordic walking exercise program can improve anthropometrical parametres (weight, waist circumference) and can reduce HbA1c levels. Title: Relation between aerobic endurance and static strength of elderly female athletes to selected anthropometric parameters. Objectives: The purpose of this study is to analyse an aerobic endurance, tested by 2 km walk test and static strength tested by prone bridge maneuver and to investigate any existing association to selected anthropometric parameters. These tests were undertaken by elderly female athletes studying U3A at the UK FTVS. Methods: 48 elderly female athletes (age 66,1±2,35, body height 1,67±0,064cm, body weight 69,80±10,42kg, waist circumference 88,82±10,64cm, body mass index (BMI) 25,10±3,62), studying U3V of UK FTVS at the time of taking the part in the research. The original sample of elderly athletes accounted for 86, but elderly athletes over age of 70 and athletes under heart - rate medication were excluded. Male athletes were also excluded for greater group compatibility. Measurement of aerobic endurance was realized by a 2 km walk test at the athletic stadium of UK FTVS according to Mr. Stejskal. Comparison of the quality of life of persons diagnosed with intervertebral disc herniation in relation to surgical and conservative treatment

Title: Comparison of the quality of life of persons diagnosed with intervertebral disc herniation in relation to surgical and conservative treatment. Objectives: The aim of the diploma thesis was the research and evaluation of the quality of life in patients with intervertebral disc lesion with and without surgery, assuming that both monitored groups will be treated with individual rehabilitation treatment. Methods: This research was carried out using a standardized Short Form 36 (SF - 36) questionnaire on quality of life based on health. The Czech version used corresponds to MUDr. Petra, Ph.D. (2000). The study was conducted at the Na Homolce hospital at the rehabilitation clinic, where appropriate respondents (n = 170) were selected for this research. The final results were divided into the respective age groups in both groups. Subsequently, a statistically significant deviation between the respective files was verified in each age group and therefore it can be said that there are no significant differences between the analyzed files. Effects: The average age of the respondents who underwent the surgery was 49.2 years, with the respondents treated conservatively at an average age of 47.6 years.
