Work with left-handed pupil at the beginning of the school attendence

This thesis deals with the laterality and the ways of diagnosis at children. It is divided into three parts - theoretical, practical and appendixes. The theoretical part deals with laterality, methods of diagnostic and methodology of work with left-handed pupil at the beginning of the school attendance. The aim of research in the practical part of the thesis was to find information about working with left-handed pupils between the students of primary teaching and teachers in practise. The appendixes of this thesis include the questionnaires used for the practical part of the thesis and worksheets for pupils to relax their hand while writing.

Pupil with disorder of learning in primary school

This thesis deals with specific learning disabilities on the first level of primary education. The theoretical part is devoted to the definition of the basic concepts, to the etiology of the occurrence of specific learning disabilities and to the classification of their manifestation. It draws up the possibilities of the diagnostics and of the follow-up re-education. It describes the possibilities of educating students with disabilities at basic schools or individually. The practical part of this thesis focuses on exploring the issue of specific learning disabilities on the first level of primary education, namely, in the third and fourth grade. Three case reports whose results most visibly pointed to a problem are also present here.

The diploma work focuses on home preparation o f pupils at primary school. It deals with primary education and characterises the junior school age in connection with home preparation of pupils. The attention is above all given to homework and home learning. It concentrates on appropriate environment for home preparation, problems with homework, motivation for doing homework and assistance provided by parents with the home preparation of their children. It analyses kinds, forms and frequency o f homework in detail. It investigates opinions of the educationalists at primary schools, parents and children on assigning homework. The Diploma Thesis views the material equipment, architectural disposals of nowadays classrooms together with actual group longlasting emocional tune specified like a social and emotional climate. The research work is done in Prague and in the primary school in Příšovice, in the country-side. The Diploma Thesis concerns with the pupils' and teachers' opinions which are recognized, evaluated, framed and matched one another more closely. The Diploma Thesis is further aimed at the interrelationship conditionality characteristics among material and architectural disposals and social and emotional climate in the investigated classroom. Experience of English Teachers with Students with Learning Disabilities

The aim of this diploma thesis is to find what stance the particular teachers of primary and secondary schools (N=50) adopt on the problem of learning disability, especially dyslexia. Very important is to study their awareness and knowledge of this issue, their opinions and especially their personal experience. In the theoretical part of the work the history and characteristics of learning disabilities are introduced, then there is the focus on dyslexia particularly where causes, diagnostics and possibilities of reeducation are presented as well. The important part of these issues is a help of specialists which is also a component of the theoretical part. The next section is focused on teaching of foreign languages, especially English language, where the suitable methods and possible teaching aids for learning disabilities are mentioned. In the practical part of this thesis three case interpretations of pupils/students with learning disabilities are presented as well as the research - the questionnaire survey - itself. There is good knowledge of teachers in this topic which is obvious from the result of this research, at the same time their experience with these children is significant, their opinions on mixed classes are predominantly positive. Diagnosing Pupils with Learning Difficulties in the Lower Levels of Primary Schools

In my thesis I tried to register how many children from the first classes at Komenského Primary Schoul in Pelhřimov, where I work as a trachet, can be put at risk by one of the specific learning disabilities, particularly dyslexia..I wrote down diagnosed results and I continuously compared the boys' performance to the adjusted girls' performance. I studied if the percentage of children at risk from the diagnose group 4-7 corresponds to the countrywide average of endangered children. If we succeed to lend children with a learning disability or enfeebled function a helping hand and assure a suitable reeducation programme in time on the basis of regular diagnostics at the end of the first form at primary school, disabilities would not deepen, but ameliorate.
