Interdisciplinary cooperation in planning care for clients with multiple sclerosis in residential respite service
Linhartová, Petra ; Vrzáček, Petr (advisor) ; Mertl, Jiří (referee)
The diploma thesis deals with the effectiveness of interdisciplinary cooperation by setting up processes focused on communication and information sharing in a multidisciplinary team. It is based on theoretical starting points mainly in connection with a systemic approach to the client. The principle of case management, individual cooperation with the client and the consulting paradigm of social work were applied here. The aim of the work is to identify possible forms of effective interdisciplinary cooperation in the selected facility, using the example of which it presents the elements affecting the quality of outputs of care planning for clients with multiple sclerosis in the conditions of a specific residential respite service. In the theoretical part of the thesis, a unique organization in the Czech Republic, which has been involved in the care of people in a long term, especially in the advanced stage of the disease and which includes a residential respite service, is presented. The mentioned respite service strives to improve the quality of care for clients by setting up effective interdisciplinary cooperation using the Human Centered Design (HCD) method. Through a case study describes the process of introducing change and setting up cooperation processes in a specific multidisciplinary team...
Mitochondrial function in skeletal muscle of critically ill
Urban, Tomáš ; Duška, František (advisor) ; Bořilová Linhartová, Petra (referee) ; Lipový, Břetislav (referee)
Aerobic phosphorylation in the mitochondria is an essential source of ATP for the functioning of higher organisms. It can be assumed that in critically ill patients, alterations in mitochondrial function are not only a para-phenomenon but also a cause of metabolic dysfunction and skeletal muscle function. In addition, critically ill patients are given drugs that facilitate care but may have unwanted side effects. Among these is the widely used diisopropylphenol, i.e. propofol. However, there is increasing evidence that propofol can induce propofol infusion syndrome, leading to mitochondrial dysfunction and failure, which can lead to the death of the patient. The research question in our project was whether there are differences in mitochondrial function compared to a control group in critically ill patients at different stages of the disease, and whether there is a difference between the group rehabilitating with the FES-CE device, i.e. functional electrical stimulation assisted ergometry, and the group with standard rehabilitation. Furthermore, we aimed to determine whether and how different parts of the respiratory chain are inhibited during propofol administration. In a subgroup of patients enrolled in a prospective randomized controlled trial, The Effect of Functional Electrical...
Gait disorders in hereditary neuropathy
Linhartová, Petra ; Horáček, Ondřej (advisor) ; Truc, Michal (referee)
Hereditary motor sensory neuropathy (CMT) exhibits characteristic symptoms, i.e. specific gait impairment. Little detailed information has been written on the gait analysis of this disease. The aim of this work was to collect information about gait disorders in patients with CMT, to perform a threedimensional gait analysis and prove the effectiveness of rehabilitation. There was a detailed kinesiological analysis, muscle strength test and Coda Motion System gait analysis done on one patient. The patient has visited rehabilitation for 12 weeks and after, the whole spectrum of examinations were repeated. Within the framework of the gate analysis there were the joint ranges in flexion-extension of the hip, knee and ankle evaluated and compared with the normal gait. After undergoing rehabilitation there was subjective improvement in the quality of walking and objective improvement compared to the initial examination's findings. This acknowledges the results of the kinesiological analysis, muscle strength test and Coda Motion System gait analysis. Results of this work provide an overview of the patterns of gait disorders in CMT and support the importance and effectiveness of rehabilitation in improving gait quality in CMT patients. Church-state settlement: Financial aspects
Linhartová, Petra ; Gutiérrez Chvalkovská, Jana (advisor) ; Martišková, Monika (referee)
Church-state settlement: Financial aspects Abstract New draft law on Church-state settlement is presented mainly as an additional burden on the state budget of the Czech Republic. My work evaluates the proposed settlement from the perspective of both actors, besides the state view also the view of the Church is considered. The theoretical part focuses on the status of the Church in the Czech Republic and the historical development of its financing, in its conclusion can be found a summary of the resolution of a property settlement in the Visegrad Group countries. The practical part is divided into two chapters: the first one compares the impacts of the different options of property settlement on the state budget, the second chapter focuses on the investment opportunities of the Church and religious communities. The main objective of the analytical part of my thesis is the evaluation of the return on investments on financial markets that would ensure a permanent source of financing for the Church and religious communities after 2043, which should be the year when all state financing of the Church ends. My analysis shows that the Church cannot get needed revenues in the long run of 60 years so it must find an additional source of income.
Role of genetic factors in the etiopathogenesis of selected diseases of the oral cavity
Bořilová Linhartová, Petra
Dissertation thesis. Role of genetic factors in the etiopathogenesis of selected diseases of the oral cavity Author. Petra Bořilová Linhartová Brno 2014 Abstract Background. Genetic factors play an important role in the etiopathogenesis of many diseases affecting the oral cavity. Genetic analysis of candidate loci was conducted in the most common oral diseases: dental caries, periodontitis in patients with/without diabetes mellitus and root resorption (EARR) after orthodontic treatment. Methods. The thesis comprises a set of eight studies (six already published articles and two articles submitted for review) and two unpublished manuscripts prepared for submitting. With the exception of one systematic review, all articles were designed as case-control studies. Genetic analysis was based on the polymerase chain reaction principle (PCR). Results. While the genetic determination of dental caries did not confirm a significant association between single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) in the lactotransferrin gene and caries development and/or severity, allele 2 in interleukin-1 receptor antagonist (IL-1RN) proved to be a risk for EARR in girls (P=0.02). No significant associations between alleles, genotypes or haplotypes of the selected SNPs in the IL-18 gene and chronic periodontitis were found; similarly...

Distributional Effects of Inflation in the Czech Republic
Linhartová, Petra ; Janský, Petr (advisor) ; Křehlík, Tomáš (referee)
Consumer price index captures the changing costs of the consumer basket of a typical household. Despite differences in spending patterns, change in con- sumer price index is used as a measure of inflation for the whole population. The aim of this thesis is to assess how close to the official inflation rate house- holds are and determine which groups have significantly different inflation. Using the Czech data from the Household Budget Survey over the 1990-2012 period we calculated specific inflation for each household in our sample. We first found out that on average only two thirds of households are close to the official inflation rate, which led us to the construction of subgroup price indices. In the empirical part, we examined the effect of household characteristics on inflation by applying the fixed effects estimation. We found that low-income households, pensioners, households in urban areas and households with few members have higher than average inflation.
