Ľubochňanci and work abroad
Huml, Tomáš ; Kuchař, Pavel (advisor) ; Grznár, Miroslav (referee)
My bachelor thesis is based on a qualitative analysis of nine interviews with young people from Luboch a who have been or still are working abroad. I am trying to find out from their experiences what reasons make them leave their home in Slovakia and start working in another country. In the theoretical part, I broadly describe the problem of labour migration of people form Slovakia and I characterize the village that my respondents come from. In the analytical part, I describe their reasons to leave, I concentrate on the countries they choose as their destinations and on their relationship to their home village, Luboch a. I also focus on their experience with working abroad and their view on other migrant workers from Slovakia. Based on the enunciations of the respondents, I conclude that the decision to leave Luboch a is mostly influenced by the economic factors, such as a lack of work opportunities on the local labour market and insufficient financial compensation for the labour. But these factors are not the only reasons for the decision to leave. The decision is also influenced by many other reasons that make them leave their home and the commitments they leave behind. I have tried to describe all these different circumstances in the thesis as well.

A sociometric test measures preferential choices of members within a group. Researcher gets the choices through questionnaires in which the members make choices according to several criterions. Then he identificates the preferences and informal structure of the group. Working group is relevant for this methody thanks its basic characterics as common workplace, goals, everyday interactions etc. Nice relationships are important for employees too, there are not considered only good salary and job security. In my research I examined three different working groups and I used the sociometric test. I present results in teams seperately because every of them is unique. At the end of research I summarize the main findings. In discussion I deal with the sociometric test in the methodological way. I write here about pros and cons which I had noticed. Ageism: Age and the transformation of the labor market. The issue of chances for people over 50 on the labor market in Sokolov.
Rocskárová, Martina ; Buriánek, Jiří (advisor) ; Kuchař, Pavel (referee)
The market transformation, which changed after the revolution in 1989 the centrally planned economy to market economy principles, has brought more opportunities for personal initiative, but some groups built into the marginalized position. These include people over 50, who built their careers on the background of other social conditions. Ingrained habits and passive attitude, together with the indifference of employers have segregated older people in the labor market. The aim of my work is to describe the market transformation according to available sources, with all its implications for change in the concept of career and how these changes disadvantage older generation. In the empirical part I use data from the Labor Office, which reveal the problem of passive and even resigned attitudes of older people. The cause of this state can be among others also the discriminatory behavior of employers and imperfect institutional help.

Koudela, Ondřej ; Tuček, Milan (advisor) ; Kuchař, Pavel (referee)
This paper brings critical sociological analysis of contemporary situation on the EMS field in Czech Republic and discovers several topics which seemed to be less emphasized at that time. The result of the study is complex description of the EMT's personality, particular types, the population as a whole, specific relationships between variables and a few problems identified during the survey. Using mixed design research methods, the author deals with the emergency medical services in Czech Republic and it's employees. Based on the narrative data collected in speeches with the EMS staff, the typology of EMT's was created, considering their work attitudes, and a set of hypothesis was created as well. On this basis the continuing quantitative research was designed, verifying the validity of previous findings. The paper offers possible directions, how to continue in forthcoming research.

Bryknarová, Jana ; Tuček, Milan (advisor) ; Kuchař, Pavel (referee)
Thesis is concerned with the transmission of values and norms in the family. The goal is to quantify the level of transmission of values between children and parents. The second step is to identify what impact on transmission of value in the family has education of parents and parenting style, which apply to a child during adolescence. Underpinning the findings is the analysis of data file "Cultural and value orientations 2008", which is unique in that it includes real families (parents and their adult children). Attention is focused on the values for different levels of generality (the value frameworks, value orientations, attitudes and norms) and education in the family as a source of values. Analysis shows a high degree of agreement between parents and their children in the sphere of values. As the main variables that affect the transmission of values were identified education of parents and parenting style.
