Identification by a line-up
Hanušová, Zuzana ; Konrád, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Krupička, Jiří (referee)
The topic of my thesis is a recognition in criminal proceedings. The thesis deals with recognition in terms of crimilonogy and criminal procedure. The recognition is one of the important evidence, which are often based on evidence in criminal proceedings. At first sight it may seem that a recognition is easy procedure in criminal proceedings, but closer examination reveals its complexity. The aim of the thesis is to introduce the recognition as a special way of proving and its specifics, summarization of the knowledge gained by studying textbooks and monographs, articles in journals and some judicial decisions, as well as outlining the selected questions and poiting out possible problems, especially the obligation of the defendant to attend the recognition. The thesis is divided into eight chapters, which are divided to subchapters. Following the introduction, the first chapter defines the concept of recognition, and then focuses on psychological basics of recognition, historical evolution of recognition as an evidence since 1873 and also its grounding in the Code of Criminal Procedure. Second chapter describes the relationship between recognition and other criminal methods, poiting out some of the common features and also its differences. Third chapter defines different types of recognition - with...
Methods of investigation of murders (selected issues)
Polívková, Lucie ; Štourač, Petr (advisor) ; Krupička, Jiří (referee)
in English The topic of the thesis is the " The Methodology of Investigation of Murders (selected issues)". The topic is too broad for the limited capacity of the dissertation. While writing the thesis, after the necessary theoretical introduction (which contains the definition of crimes against life, medical definition of death, etc.), I focused only on the initial stage of the investigation of the crime of murder. I specifically focused on the discovery of the body, on securing the crime scene, on autopsy and on the demarcation of investigative versions. Next stage of the investigation is only briefly summarized in the ninth chapter. The thesis is divided into ten chapters. The first chapter explains basic terms, especially murder, murder of a newborn baby by its mother and other crimes against life, such as manslaughter, negligent homicide and assistance to suicide. This chapter also includes medical definition of death, and a brief description of the post-mortem changes. The second chapter consists of brief statistics on the number of murders in the Czech Republic between the periods 2000 to 2012. It contains two graphs; the first graph shows the evolution of the total number of murders each year and their solving. The second graph divides murders according to the specific motives. The third...

Rossmannová, Kateřina ; Hořák, Jaromír (advisor) ; Krupička, Jiří (referee)
CRIME OF MURDER AND CRIME OF MANSLAUGHTER ACCORDING TO § 140 TZ, § 141 TZ The topic of my thesis is the crime of murder (§ 140) and the crime of manslaughter (§ 141 of the Criminal Code). These are the most serious crimes directed against human life. As the topic of human life is very important for my work, the first chapter is focused on the description of the legal regulation of the protection of human life in the terms of Czech and international regulation as well as on definition of the beginning and the end of human life. In this chapter I have also included the infanticide. In the next chapter I dealt with the constituent elements of the crime of murder and manslaughter. Separately, I spoke about the object, the physical element, the subject and the mental element of these crimes. In the section discussing the object I focused on the subject of attack and on the victim, too. Under the discussion about the subject I tried to define the subject of the crime of murder. The fourth chapter is devoted to the classification of crimes of murder and manslaughter under the valid Criminal Code and to comparison of new and old conception of these crimes arising from the new and the old Criminal Codes valid in the Czech republic. The following chapter is focused on the crime of murder. In this chapter I...
Non-conventional bacterial signaling pathways
Krupička, Jiří ; Branny, Pavel (advisor) ; Beranová, Jana (referee)
Two component systems were traditionally considered as main phosphorylation systems of bacteria involved in cell signalling. Recently, attention focuses increasingly on bacterial eukaryote-like Ser/Thr protein kinases (eSTKs). These protein kinases are structurally similar to their eukaryotic counterparts. Some eSTKs possess additional domains such as extracellular PASTA domains that were discovered in a variety of gram-positive bacteria. It has been proved that these domains can act as sensors for unlinked peptidoglycan fragments. However, majority of environmental signal molecules still remains unknown. eSTKs phosphorylate a broad spectrum of substrates including proteins involved in various cell processes such as virulence, cell wall biosynthesis, cell division, and central and secondary metabolism. Cross talk between eSTKs and two component systems also occurs. In this thesis, the current knowledge about eSTKs and their significant substrates in different bacterial species is discussed.

Criminal Law and Criminological Aspects of the Internet Criminality Key words: Internet, Criminal law, Criminology Abstract (EN): Internet criminality is a very young phenomenon; the internet itself was presented in the recent form only about 20 years ago. With regard to its extant, this study is not supposed to serve as an overall and full detailed analysis of the internet criminality. The objective of this paper is a criminological description of socially dangerous phenomenons related to the internet, concretely the origin of these phenomenons in the society, the most frequent modus operandi of the internet crime, means of prevention and the criminal law qualification of the relevant criminal activities. The paper itself is divided into four separate parts. The first part contains a general introduction into the problems of internet criminality. We can find there a definition of the term "internet" and "internet...
