Šindlerová, Hana ; Bunc, Václav (advisor) ; Kovářová, Lenka (referee)
Title: Innovativ ways to affect overweight and obesity (use of the machine Body - Space VacuTherm). Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to evaluate if walking on Vacutherme encourages and accelerate body fat loss and figure forming as advertisements claim. Based on my own measurements of the clients of our clinic MS Clinic in Slaný I will examine body weight loss, particularly body fat loss, decrease of centimeters of those areas that are exposed to vacuum and change in body composition. I compare the results of clients enrolled in group used to weight reduction only VacuTherm lesson in the machine, with clients of the second group, which combine lessons in the machine with another physical activity attending at least 2 times a week for longer period of time. Methods: To get results important for bachelor thesis I chose only measurement method. For data processing, this method is most accurate. I used two forms of measurement. With one presentation helped me body analyzer Tanita BC-1000, which provided me with information that can not be measured by conventional methods. The second option is a common way of measuring the circumference of lots tracked to within one centimeter. At work I examine a group of 20 women who underwent diagnostic input on physical analyzer, where they were measured value...

Title: Vague information on finite alphabets and its monotonous characteristics Author: Mgr. Lenka Kovářová Department: Department of Probability and Mathematical Statistics Supervisor: prof. RNDr. Viktor Beneš, DrSc. Abstract: The bachelor thesis is focused on information-theoretic source of messages with vague recognition from a final general alphabet. The aim of this work is to compile an overview of existing approaches to entropy and information. There were published several approaches how to convert to the fuzzy set theory the concept of entropy, which was originally introduced in physics, mathematically expressed as an additive-probability model and adjusted for Shannon probabilistic information source. Most of these approaches maintains the additive-probability model, while the emphasis in the theory of fuzzy sets is laid on the characteristics of minimum and maximum. Jendrísek, Lukáš ; Kovářová, Lenka (advisor) ; Horčic, Josef (referee)
Title: Doping in the triathlon Aims: The aim of our thesis was to become acquainted with doping as such, to analyse surveys on doping offences in the Czech Republic and on international scale in triathlon and to find substances mostly abused in triathlon. Methods: On the basis of information obtained from the World anti-doping agency (WADA) I performed an evaluation of doping offences. It dealt with the evaluation of results of doping controls in triathlon and cycling in the Czech Republic. Further I evaluated the results of doping controls in triathlon and cycling in the world on the basis of WADA information and compared them with the ones from the Czech Republic. Results: For displaying of the obtained data we used survey tables, which imply that the number of noted doping substance abuses between 2000 and 2009 was 3 triathlonist out of the 310 controls in the Czech Republic. For comparison there were 13 doping abuses out of 899 controls in cycling in the same time period in the Czech Republic. The same method was used for the evaluation of data on the international scale between the years 2003 and 2009 in the number of proved offences in triathlon 444 and in cycling 4 268 from the overall number 16 709 doping controls in triathlon and 110 264 in cycling, which represents 2,7 % in triathlon and...
The nutrition habits and knowledge of middle- and long-distance runners
Peteříková, Vendula ; Bunc, Václav (advisor) ; Kovářová, Lenka (referee)
Title: The Nutrition Habits and Knowledge of middle and long distance runners Targets: The thesis main target is to determine dietary habits of endurance men and women runners, their interest in health nutrition and their nutrition information sources. Another aim to achieve is to find out their basic knowledge of body composition and human nutrition. Methods: The thesis was worked out on the base of questionnaires , that were prepared with regard to the author personal experience and knowledge. The questionnaires were handed in personaly to the respondents at runners competition, as soon as the race was finished and most of the runners used to wait for their results. The respondents were kept in anonymity in order to ensure as much objective answers as possible. The meaning of questionnaire completion was explained by the author to each of the responding runners. The validity of the questionnaire was consequently confirmed by the mean of guided interview between the author and the runner responded. Results: Endurance runners are keen on following the health nutrition principles. The dietary habits of the major part of the respondants correspond to requirements related to the field of energy-intensive sport. Most of the runners do not use energy bars and nutritional supplements. On the base of the...
About identification of motor predispositions in triathlon
Kovářová, Lenka ; Bunc, Václav (advisor) ; Čepička, Ladislav (referee) ; Zháněl, Jiří (referee)
Title: About identification of motor predispositions in triathlon Aims: The aim of our study was to find and verify appropriate indicators predicting the on-coming performance in a short triathlon and determine their level for the junior category. Methods: In our study, we combined quantitative and qualitative approaches with a predominance of quantitative methods. In the first phase of the research, we used quantitative methods, confirmatory factor analysis for verification of models of predispositions and elaboration of performance standards for individual tests by means of T-points. In the second part of the research, we used the qualitative method (casuistic studies) to validate the test battery and its application in practice. Results: We have compiled a structural model of motor predispositions for short triathlon, which explained 91% of all cross-correlations of seventeen used indicators. Predispositions for triathlon were categorized into five separate groups; for swimming, cycling and running (i.e. according to individual disciplines), and functional and psychological predispositions. Finding a lower limit boundary of performance in the completed tests is considered to be the most important issue for the assessment of future performance in triathlon. As a lower limit we have set the zone...

Kovářová, Lenka ; Šatínský, Dalibor (advisor) ; Pospíšilová, Marie (referee)
Charles Univerzity in Prague Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Analytical Chemistry Candidate: Lenka Kovářová Consultant: Doc. RNDr. Dalibor Šatínský, PhD. Title of thesis: Development of HPLC method for determination of vitamin E acetate in preparations Geladrink A HPLC method was developed for the determination of content of vitamin E-acetate in preparation Geladrink Forte. The method is based on using Chromolith Performance RP- 18e column (100 x 4.6 mm) and UV detection at 290 nm. The vitamin E-acetate was separated in the presence of internal standard cholecalciferol from ballast matrix. There was used isocratic elution of the mobile phase methanol - water (98:2) at a flow-rate of 2.0 ml/min and at temperature 30 řC during the measurement. The system enabled successful separation in time less than 4 min. The retention time of cholecalciferol was 2.26 min and the retention time of vitamin E-acetate was 3.22 min. Chromatographic resolution between cholecalciferol and vitamin E-acetate was 5.248. Method was applied to analysis of vitamin E-acetate in preparation Pro-Visio, too. The found concentrations of vitamin E-acetate were re-counted on content of vitamin E declared by that the producer. Keywords: vitamin E-acetate, HPLC, Geladrink, Pro-Visio.
Evaluation of force presumptions for swimming triathletes from Czech team in training cycle 2009-2010
Švejda, Roman ; Horčic, Josef (advisor) ; Kovářová, Lenka (referee)
Title: Evaluation of force presumptions for swimming triathletes from Czech team in training cycle 2010-2011 Intention of work: Evaluation of specific force presumptions for swimming and ability maximal utilit force efficiency in long time stress, wide spektrum of triatlonist from beginners to elite czech competitors. For evaluation we used 3 indikators: 1. average Power Output - PO - [W] 2. average power output on kg body weight - PO.kg-1 - [W.kg-1 ] 3. complete work - W - [Nm] Method: Testing on swim trainer Biokinetic by tests which simulated free style strokes and butterfly strokes. 10 strokes by free style and butterfly styl, 50 and 100 strokes by butterfly style. Results: Some people lives in mistake about their directionality. Someone think, that he is better for long distance, and oposit eis true. Lot of people, in our test, made more work [Nm] in free style strokes, than butterfly strokes. More offen people made more work [Nm] in butterfly strokes. Our people swim butterfly just especialy and that's the reason, why they have more force in crowl. Keywords: Biokinetic, triathlon, swimming, testing, swim force.

SURNAME AND NAME OF THE AUTHOR: Babica Milan FIELD OF STUDY: Physical Education and Sport SUPERVISOR: PaedDr. Josef Horcic, Ph.D. Theme: Design of the methodics for creating model cycling rides in the training of the cycling part of the triathlon using the power meter. Objectives: Design of the methodics for creating model cycling rides in the training of the cycling part of the triathlon for an intermittent method with short distances using the power meter. Method: The pilot study focuses on the methodics for creating model cycling rides in the cycling part of the triathlon and their evaluation. Firstly, we perform rides to determine the critical power levels. Based on the critical power we derive the intensity of model rides for the training method of short intermittent distances Intensity II and III. By evaluating the results we gain an insight into the questions of creating the model rides. All field rides are performed by a single person. In order to acquire data which correspond to the real training environment the test and model rides are performed in the field conditions. Results: Based on the results it can be stated that using the external power meter Power Tap PRO to manage the training with short intermittent distances by applying intensity II or III is suitable. It is necessary to work...
