Improving Business Performance - ELEKON, s.r.o.

The main aim of this bachelor thesis is the improvement of the business performance. The chosen company is called Elekon, s.r.o. The thesis is divided into three parts. The first part describes the theoretical basis and the evaluation methods, which has been used. In the second, practical part, there is an information about the company's activities. Further in this part, the work covers the calculations of particular indicators and interprets the obtained values. These values are based on financial statements from years 2016-2019. The final third part provides proposals for the improvement of the financial situation and higher efficiency of the company's finance management.
Evaluation of the Financial Situation in the Firm and Proposals to its Improvement

Bachelor thesis is focused on the evaluation of the financial situation of the engineering firm selected through techniques of financial analysis and proposals of solutions to improve the current situation. The work consists of two parts: theoretical and practical. The first part presents the methods of financial analysis. In the second - the analytical part - the selected company; an analysis of its financial situation during the period 2009 - 2013, design and evaluation, including measures and recommendations, which should lead to the improvement of its development in the future.
Assessing the Advantages of Buying a Housing Unit in Brno Kociánka and Sadová

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of sale/lease of an apartment in the Královo Pole district cadastral area of Sadová. The main objective of the work was to find out the selling/rental price of the apartment unit in the new building, available 2+kk with standard equipment in Sadová. The price calculation was performed according to statutory regulations, standards and coefficients. At the same time, the price and quality levels of the offered housing units in the surrounding Brno localities were monitored and compared. The secondary objectives of the diploma thesis were the analysis of the housing market in Brno and its description including the preferences for the selection of the housing unit. The market indices used were used for the valuation of the dwelling unit and the price of the land included in the dwelling unit was included in the resulting price. The award was made by cost and comparison method. Sales/ rental pricing calculations were verified through direct comparison and Grubbs test. The rental method used to measure sales/rentals was used to determine the usual rent. In the last chapter of the analytical section, an appropriate procedure for purchasing a new dwelling unit was proposed.

The Comparison of Sports Sections of the Czech Daily Newspapers (Blesk, Lidové noviny, Deník)

The diploma thesis treats sports journalism in the Czech press. It aims to compare sports sections of three Czech daily newspapers - Blesk, Lidové noviny, and Deník (represented by Moravskoslezský deník as a suitable regional variant) by quantitative content analysis according to eight criteria: percentual representation of genres, sports, topics, number of photos, representation of sportsmen and journalists based on their gender, forms of authorship and proportion of sport-oriented articles outside the sports sections and compare it with results from 2011 a 2015 data set and a global project The International Sports Press Survey 2011. In the opening part, the diploma thesis attends to the critical reception of sports journalism coverage and introduce Czech sports journalism after 1989, then briefly characterize chosen daily newspapers. The last chapter of the theoretical part describes data collection and its analysis. The practical part of the diploma thesis fills the gap of lacking quantitative data completed with interpretation and authentic examples from research. This constitutes a framework of future periodic researches and challenges other researchers to serious progress of this neglected discipline in the Czech Republic which could lead to international survey participation of this country...
