Using of the Czech Warmblood for the Czech Republic Mounted Police
Vlčková, Petra ; Navrátil, Jan (advisor) ; Karel, Karel (referee)
The horse evolution started with Hyracotherium, which was a small animal inhabiting forests of the Eocene. Since then, it evolved into more or less successful forms in which the conditions of the surroundings of its occurrence were reflected. When it comes to the initial usage of horses, they were used as a source of meat. Later, in the period before 4,600 years ago, evidence of the domestication of these animals emerged. Due to the improved system of breeding, horse as a draught animal and a mean of transport gradually became riding horse, which contributed not only in spreading human population, but also in influencing history of many civilizations. Nowadays, horse is represented through a number of breeds, which are used in equestrian sport, work with cattle, horse races, in forestry labours, or as a good companion. In addition, horse gained its irreplaceable role in the service of the Mounted Police of Czech Republic where it is daily deployed in diverse actions; for example in city and peripheral guarding, in searching for missing persons or in restoration of disturbed public peace. The most useful breed for these purposes is Czech Warmblood, where the most preferred geldings are in brown or chestnut color. High demands are placed on physiological characteristics; however, the most important criterion is the excellent character of this breed. Quality of these characteristics consists in the length of duty and in the reasons for their release from duty. Some of the most frequent reasons for the release from duty health problems and age. The release due to age is associated with strong and resistant horses. Regarding the lineage of the police horses on duty, the best evaluated were the descendants of stallions 1154 Quick Lauro Z, Mykonos and 1028 Manillon Rouge. However, there is a correlation between these descendants and their number on active duty. After categorization of all traced stallions into relevant lineages, the lineage 1100 Przedswit became the most numerous lineages (7 stallions). Nevertheless, this lineage is not positively evaluated because of its descendants, which did not perform well on duty. Another numerous lineages were 5500 Pythagoras, 4700 Amour du Bois, Orange Peel xx-Almé Z, 67 Dark Ronald or 4800 Ladykiller XX. The central purchase system of duty horses should help to unify these horses as well as to prolong the length of duty, via universally established criteria. Results demonstrate the unification of typological characteristics of these horses. However, the average withers height of measured horses fails to meet the requirements. Regarding the length of duty, the results were not conclusive; therefore, the hypothesis was confirmed just partially.

This diploma thesis deals with factors of job satisfaction of employees of the state company XY. The thesis is divided into two parts, the first of which summarizes the theoretical background and the basic approaches to the described topic. The second part is empirical and it is aimed at motivating employees in the aforementioned organization, particularly at the remote workplace Blansko. The media in recent years created a bad image of the company, which is mostly related to the treatment of employees. It was therefore examined whether this external situation has a negative impact on job satisfaction and motivation of employees. The default method was a questionnaire survey, whose results were plotted and selected questions were then analyzed by analysis of qualitative character. If there were established a correlation between the studied characteristics there were also determined its power by coefficient of association. At the end of each analysis there were included interpretations of findings that were used to design optimization measures.

An evaluation of erosion risks and design of erosion control measures in selected cadastral area
Janota, Petr ; Janků, Jaroslava (advisor) ; Karel, Karel (referee)
Erosion is exogenous geomorphological process that affects the formation of the Earth's surface since the formation of the Earth's solid crust. This activity, which under natural conditions proceeded slowly, in terms of human generations imperceptibly, in intensively used landscape dramatically accelerated and brought a number of adverse consequences. The aim of this study has been to assess and evaluate erosion risks in selected cadastral area and in the event of an over limit erosion hazard to suggest appropriate erosion control measures to eliminate the increased erosion. The 77 erosion of closed units were examined by a computer program Atlas DMT erosion module, which uses digital terrain model together with data from databases or BPEJ or LPIS. The 14 of them have diagnosed overlimit value wash away the soil. As a basic erosion control measures the change of applied classic crop rotation to crop rotations using soil conservation technologies was considered. After adjusting cropping practices that positively impact factor of the protective effects of vegetation, it was found by erosion Atlas module, six parcels of land with over limited value of soil washes. These lands have suggested the use of technical erosion control measures, for example furrows, grassing thalwegs etc.. On the parcels, where, due to their size, shape or morphology technical measures proved inadequate or ineffective it has been proposed permanent grassing. In the proposals erosion control measures it is necessary to combine the maximum efficiency of measures with condition of ease and minimal restriction of land users. When their making is to be assumed towards the user, because it depends on him only whether the proposed organizational and agronomic measures will be implemented or not. The fundamental problem with these measures is that their implementation is not backed by legislation. I assume that the more acceptable, less restrictive and inexpensive measures will be proposed, the more likely it will be implemented. One of the reasons why even the simple erosion control measures are put into practice slowly and with difficulty is the fact that in the Czech Republic the most of the agricultural land is managed by entities that are not its owners. This fact significantly contributes to the fact that land is viewed merely as a means of production, which must to bring maximum profit only. To improve this situation may also contribute to the establishment and consistent control of the GAEC standards.
The Impact of Measures and Support Programs for Biodiversity Management in the Krkonoše Mountains.
Hniličková, Dana ; Pecharová, Emilie (advisor) ; Karel, Karel (referee)
Meadows are a significant part of the Giant Mountains´ nature. For the support of the meadows in the Krkonoše Mountains, which are very often degraded (because of long time absence of management), there are available various financial sources. This theses compares different ways of meadows management, programs and arragements which farmers can use. Through interviews with farmers, I tried to get answers to questions regarding the management on specific areas farmers work on. I was interested in theirs perception of biodiversity, influence of the management, satisfaction with subsidies or compensations, and possible suggestions for the future. Landlords percieve farming on their own or rented area as a kind of representation and has no problem to keep the limits to get the subsidy. As a problem most of them percieve administration related to subsidy utilization. Effort of Administration of KRNAP to improve conditions for farming they percieve in positive way. Because farming is necessary for the preservation of mountain meadows as a significant element of the Giant Mountains landscaping and the secondary functions is higher than the production function, it is necessary to widely support an agricultural activities in the region.

Populatio analysis sheep breeds included in the gene resources in the Czech republic
Benešová, Jaroslava ; Vostrý, Luboš (advisor) ; Karel, Karel (referee)
Genetic variability reflects the degree of diversity of the population breeds of livestock and seed objectives can greatly decrease. As a result of the reduction of the genetic variability of the population experiencing adverse effects or to the complete extinction of the breed. Adverse effects are manifested primarily on the fitness of animals and their commercial properties. When sufficient population size and when are these influences mating panmictic minimum, however, in populations where there is a reduction in the number of individuals, these effects are essential. In connection with inbreedingem is acting negatively influences called inbred depression. The degree of inbreeding in populations is necessary to monitor and on the basis of creating mating plans, so that was the greatest genetic gain achieved in the conservation of genetic variability, which will have a negative effect on fitness and utility properties. Population analysis was prepared based on data from the herd-books in 1985 up to 2013. The data contained the pedigree of the Bohemian Forest sheep, which is placed between the genetic resources in the Czech Republic. Using the program SAS 5.8 (Statistical Analysis Software) the value of the coefficient of inbreeding have been established for each individual and the average value of the entire population. The other trend was the evaluation of the parameters of the vyhodnocenými coefficient of inbreeding in the reference period and the effective population size, and the generational interval for the four paths of transmission of genes and two transmission paths of genes. The trend of development of the coefficient of inbreeding (Fx) was evaluated as a kolísavě rising with an average of around 0.6%. The average generation interval (L) for the four paths of gene transfer was calculated for two years and 3.83 journey 3.55 years gene transfer. The value of the generation interval, the shorter the period considered, resulting in the intensification of genetic gain. The effective population size (Ne) was estimated in two ways. The total effective population size (Ne) taking into account the kinship was estimated to number of 85 individuals and effective population size involving only males and females was estimated at 3070 individuals. On the basis of the analysis of the coefficient of inbreeding, the generation interval and effective size of the population it is possible to sort the sheep from the Šumava with the low degree of coefficient of inbreeding and the average generation interval. On the basis of the value of effective population size 85 individuals may be experiencing the sheep breed known as endangered.
