Drug-users in socialist Czechoslovakia 1960-1990

This thesis deals with problems of drug addiction in socialistic Czechoslovakia in the years 1960 - 1990. The first chapter describes spectra of drugs abused in the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic. It comprises classic drugs, pharmaceuticals and synthetic volatile matters. The second chapter is focused on grouping of drug addicts, their habits, rituals and meeting places. The third part deals with toxicomania in specific world of prisons. The fourth chapter construes period statistic researches of drug addictions. The fifth part describes drug legislature valid in the years 1960 - 1990 and it is classified into three sections: international conventions, domestic legislature and the Law for Protection against Alcoholism and Other Kinds of Toxicomania from 1989. The sixth chapter deals with effectiveness of Czechoslovak drug legislature and evaluations of experts.

What is meaningfull proper name?

The theme of this Thesis can be characterized by one question: "What is the meaningful proper name?" The tradition of analytical philosophy is the departure point for finding the answer. The researched areas for what can be named have become not only things of the physical world but also abstract things, such as numbers. The author of this Thesis has determined the concept of truthfulness in such a way that this concept could become "Archimede' s" point for reaching the answer. The answer as such is accepted at the very beginning of the Thesis. From the perspective of language it is not the only possible answer. This answer is the only possible one, however, when viewed from the perspective of practical and pre-philosophical approach to the world - language relationship. The answer is: The meaningful proper name is any language entity for which there exist such criteria of identity that this entity can be secure1y and deliberate1y identified as a name for one conrete object; this entity must be incorporated within mutual language relationship with other language entities in such a way that it can be again recognized as a name naming the same.

Drug-legislature in Czechoslovakia 1945-1989

Abúzus drog prošel v Československu ve sledovaném období dynamickým vývojem. V období bezprostředně po skončení druhé světové války se u nás zneužívání drog téměř nevyskytovalo. Duvodu bylo jistě více: nadšení z toužebně očekávaného míru nedostatečná úroveň zásobování. Z drogového hlediska se ale jednalo o klid před bouří. Rozvoj chemického a farmaceutického prumyslu předběhl kontrolní mechanizmy a počty toxikomanu až do konce vytýčeného období rostly. Již od 50. let se u nás objevovaly stále nové léky, o jejichž nežádoucích účincích na psychiku neměla laická, ale i mnohdy ani lékařská, veřejnost dostatek informací. Právě tato léčiva se stala na dlouhou dobu největším drogovým problémem poválečného Československa. Míra konzumace psychoaktivních farmak se v období 60. - 80. let vytrvale držela na vysoké úrovni. Léky Ca později také syntetická rozpouštědla) se staly náhražkou za klasické drogy užívané v té době na Západě, které byly díky uzavření hranic a nezájmu cizích obchodníku o československou měnu nedostupné. Nelze rovněž přehlédnout trend snižování pruměrného věku toxikomanu. Ještě v 60. letech tvořila jádro toxikomanické populace střední generace užívající léčiva pro vzpruhu či uklidnění. Proposal of Changes for Human Resource Management in a Company

Bachelor’s thesis deals with personal management issues in specific company. The main goal of this thesis is to propose a helpful change in the most critical area of the personal management in company TEMO – TELEKOMUNIKACE, a.s. Thesis is divided into three parts. Theoretical part processes theoretical starting points, defines basic terms and characterizes each part of the current concept of human resource management based on professional literature. The analytical part is focused on introducing the company and describes the specific situation in the company. Based on analysis of information resources from company’s official websites, observations, analysis of statistical data, interviews with managers, SWOT analysis and the results of a questionnaire survey the current situation of the company has been evaluated and in the proposal part of the thesis the measures for improvement have been submitted.

This bachelor thesis undertakes on analysis of the bargain with the devil as a motif in the Irish literature. The analysis contains of four literature works of Irish writers. One of them is a novel called The Picture of Dorian Gray written by Oscar Wilde. The other three works are short stories. "The Miraculous revenge" was written by George Bernard Shaw. "Sir Dominick's Bargain" was written by Joseph Sheridan Le Fanu and the third work was written by Flann O'Brien called "Faustus Kelly". All these works will be analyzed, summarized, compared and contrasted to one another.

Analysis of Economic Indicators Using Statistical Methods

This bachelor thesis deals with the processing of financial analysis for the company Rathgeber, k.s., which are used in the selected statistical methods. The thesis is divided into three parts. The theoretical part describes the statistical methods and financial analysis methods that will is used in the next section. The practical part is focused on the actual processing of financial statements to form, we have to draw conclusions and make recommendations. The last part of the thesis proposes solutions to problems that the company faces and also predicts the possible pitfalls and risks of their business.

PLC technology in data collection systems

This bachelor thesis deals with the use of PLC technology in data collection. The first part includes information about PLC. An analysis of types, properties and types of modulations of PLC focusing on the narrowband one is carried out. Used modems from Yitran company are described. Attention is also paid to creation of software for an application focused on data collection from simple sensors. The thesis incudes the description of two created applications required for the realization of data collection system. In the last part, measurement of packet loss dependence on distance is described. From the measurement it follows that the modems operate reliably with rising distance as well.

The thesis deals with designing an automated trading system, especially for intra-day trading the currency markets. The aim is to create a comprehensive theoretical background, practical work knowledge can be used to develop appropriate automated trading system. The thesis is an emphasis on technical and partly a psychological analysis of currency markets. Designed system will be suitably optimized to maximize profits and stability of applications on the most liquid currency pairs.
