This bachelor's thesis focuses on the issue of sex trafficking in the Czech and Slovak Republics from the division of Czechoslovakia to the present. The aim of the thesis is to compare the development of both republics in the fight against this crime and emphasize the differences in their approaches to this issue. The thesis analyzes the main actors dealing with sex trafficking in both republics, namely the state sector and the non-profit sector. It examines how the policy regarding human trafficking operates in these republics and the level of cooperation between the non-profit sector and the state sector. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the theory of comparison and various comparative approaches used to compare both republics. It also addresses problematic factors that may influence the results of the comparison. The practical part of the thesis employs a mixed-method approach and gathers data through semi-structured interviews with experts on the subject. At the same time, the...

Jelínková, Eva Marie ; Sánchez Fernández, Juan Antonio (advisor) ; Kavková, Kateřina (referee)
The subject of this bachelor thesis is the typology of female characters in the plays of the Spanish author Federico García Lorca. The aim of the thesis is to analyse the heroines of the plays Yerma, The House of Bernarda Alba, Mariana Pineda and The Unmarried Doña Rosita, on the basis of which I will build a typology according to common motifs. In the thesis, I will first outline the context and conditions of the author's time, as well as the importance of the generation of 27, to which García Lorca belongs, and then the position of women in society and the emergence of feminist movements in Spain. In the next chapter I will then summarize the general characteristics, elements and themes common to all the heroines of the selected plays. The second part of the thesis will already deal with typology, where the characters are divided into three main categories

Bartoňová-Dobenínová, Julie Diane ; Jelínková, Marie (advisor) ; Dobiášová, Karolína (referee)

It discusses the obstacles these children face in integrating into the Czech environment, the position of Ukrainian refugee children in the issue of integration into the Czech Republic, why it is important to consider them as public policy actors, and the contribution of research with children. The theoretical concepts of migration and integration are the mainstays of the thesis, which is specified into the theoretical concept of social integration and its sub-aspects. Furthermore, the thesis uses the foreign model by Häkli and Kallio (2013), which posits the child as an agent in the political process. The practical part of the research includes findings from participant observation in an adaptation group in the non- profit organization Na zámečku Mother Centre in Nové Město nad Metují and is complemented by an interview with a child psychologist from Ukraine.
Multiculturalism Policy in Canada: Exploring the Dispute with Québec through Framing Analysis.
Hrynuik Breedon, Hannah Mae ; Jelínková, Marie (advisor) ; Jusić, Mirna (referee)
Multiculturalism has been an official federal government policy in Canada since 1971 and is strongly associated with the country. However, from its inception, it has been met with strong criticism and opposition in the predominantly French-speaking province of Québec. While the long history of French-English conflicts in Canada has been explored, there is a paucity of comprehensive literature that focuses on the resurgence of this particular dispute in the last decade. This period includes Québec's adoption of several new, high profile, and controversial policies and laws that mark a rejection of the federal policy. To help fill this gap, and develop a more specific and contemporary description of this dispute, this paper uses frame analysis as a lens through which to examine a range of sources including news articles, government documents, press releases, speeches and interviews. Through this analysis six frames used by federal and provincial actors are identified and discussed: "Unique Cultural Preservation", "Québecois as Dominant Culture" and "Provincial Autonomy" on one side; and "Cultural Diversity and Pluralism", "Accommodation" and "National Unity" on the other. The findings reveal that the dispute is rooted in a historic struggle for power between the province and the federal government...
