The Act on Educational Staff: an exploratory survey in the district of Zábřeh.
Novotná, Marie ; Smékalová, Lucie (advisor) ; Jana, Jana (referee)
My thesis is divided into two parts where the notional part presents the targets and methodology, describes the locality of the research, the system of education and the legislation. The applied part is based on the qualitative research carried out with four randomly chosen headmasters of the educational institutions in Zábřeh, representing different types and stages of the educational system. Based on the results of my research, the target of my thesis is to describe the impact of the amendment of the Act No.563/2004 on Educational Staff and the impact of modification of some related acts on the teaching stuffs of all kinds of educational facilities in the town, and at the same time to present the process of dealing with these legislative changes by the headmasters as the managers of the schools. By interviewing the headmasters I should find the answer to the question if their analysed responses conform the idea of an ideal manager (according to Jan Hron) who needs to have not only knowledge an competence to be a successful manager, but also authority and will. The results of the research should also confirm or refute the idea that in connection with the legislative changes many insufficiently qualified teachers were dismissed to be replaced by new employees. Therefore, I am comparing the results of my survey with the accessible data from the local employment agency. Although it is hard to generalize the data from the qualitative survey and a relatively small number of respondents, this thesis should bring a new insight into the whole issue in the town of fourteen thousand inhabitants.

Testing traits Saarloos wolfdog and Czechoslovakian wolfdog
Peterová, Dalia ; Fiala Šebková, Naděžda (advisor) ; Jana, Jana (referee)
This thesis is about cognitive behavior of dogs and wolves. It focuses on breeds of Czechoslovakian Wolfdog and Saarlooswolfdog, resulting from crossbreeding of a dog and a wolf. The thesis describes their natural behavior and abilities to cooperate and communicate with humans. The thesis repeats series of behavioral experiments performed on dogs and wolfs described by Ádám Miklósi in his study from 2003 "A Simple Reason for a Big Difference: Wolves Do Not Look Back at Humans, but Dogs Do". We were interested to know how these particular crossbreeds would behave in the same model situations, thus we tested them on the Czechoslovakian Wolfdogs and Saarlooswolfdogs. The first study shows whether the subjects are able to locate hidden food indicated by a known gesture of a human experimenter. The second study examines whether the subject, that is not able to solve a similarly looking task by itself, looks at a human for clues. The dog easily learns how to solve a simple task: opening an object to get to food. And it subsequently faces a similar situation, in which, it is impossible for the dog to resolve it by itself. These experiments demonstrate that Czechoslovakian Wolfdog and Saarlooswolfdog are able to collaborate with humans with similar willingness. There is no statistical difference between these two breeds and the two sexes of these animals.
Calculation of costs in selected sector of the farm - plant production
Vala, Filip ; Řezbová, Helena (advisor) ; Jana, Jana (referee)
The thesis deals with the construction of input cost calculations (corn silage and grass silage) for biogas stations in the agriculture firm Alfa. A partial goal is to construct an alternate pricing of those materials. On basis to the alternate pricing of the materials the thesis aims to evaluate this change in economic efficiency of biogas station. The thesis consists of the theoretical and the practical part. Literature overview in the theoretical part explains in detail company costs, cost calculation, investment decisions, financial resources, cash flows and investments´ evaluation methods. The practical part of the thesis is based on gathered data from the firm Alfa. The thesis shows in detail individual input costs that enter costs calculations of corn and grass silage. Furthermore, the thesis analyzes plant manufacturing overheads and administrative overheads. Allocation of overhead costs to individual performance is also part of the thesis. Personal suggestions of cost calculations are constructed on the basis of the partial changes in individual costs. The practical part ends with a calculation of economic efficiency of the biogas station on basis of personal suggestions. The conclusion of the thesis comments the results of the cost calculation of corn and grass silage in Alfa in the year 2014. In addition, this part evaluates and comments applied personal suggestions (1 and 2) and their influence on efficiency of biogas station.
Costing in selected sectors of agricultural company and intra-company prices determination
Kolumpek, Daniel ; Řezbová, Helena (advisor) ; Jana, Jana (referee)
The subject of this thesis is the cost in selected sectors of an agricultural company called Prima a.s. for the year 2013 and determination of the process of creating transfer prices. The literature search characterizes the costs along with its breakdown. In connection with these the calculation system is characterized, along with methods of calculation. The work is also focused on calculation formulas. Specifically, it introduces a generic calculation formula and the calculation formula for crop and livestock production. These issues are related to the formation of the transfer pricing described in the literature search. The framework of selected livestock sector characterizes the problems of breeding cattle in the Czech Republic, its economy and its related method of monetizing milk. The production of milk and its effectiveness relates to the amount of fed silage corn. Silage corn is one of the main entrances in the search of feed described. The main part characterizes Prima a.s. as a company. It describes the basic business venture together with production factors. Further work to the plant and animal production enterprise. The crop production work includes a calculation of the cost of corn and consequently its manufacturing cost compared with the valuation for livestock production. Within the livestock production, the work deals with the characteristics of cattle. This part of my Dissertation work includes the main subject, the thesis and of milk production and its costs. Costing is compiled according to the methodology of the annual cattle in the country. Synoptic table is compiled with the main indicators of cost and these are then characterized in detail. Work in connection with this issue more deeply engages in the dissolution of indirect costs in this sector. Subsequently evaluated economics of milk production and cattle farming as a whole. Based on the set out analysis conclusions regarding the cost of milk production and the creation of transfer prices and recommendations are designed to minimize the costs for this sector in the agriculture company.
The influence of extreme temperatures on milk production of dairy cows in the Czech Republic
Strachová, Nikola ; Potopová, Vera (advisor) ; Jana, Jana (referee)
This Bachelor thesis deals with influences of extreme environmental temperatures on milk production of dairy cows. It describes a heat stress formation limit and its effects on milk yield, composition of milk and cattle reproduction. It explains in detail the mechanisms of thermoregulation at high and low ambient/cowsheds temperatures over the thermoneutral zone limit. It analyses the ways of hyperthermia elimination, whilst assuming that none of the above methods is perfect. The thesis describes measured climatic indices in context with the desired values of cattle. It further deals with impacts of livestock production on the world macroclimate and finally how the climate changes affect cattle breeding. Results show that microclimate parameters such as air temperature (°C) and the relative humidity (%) indoors of cowsheds are strongly connected with outdoors, weather conditions and vary accordingly. This study confirms that livestock producers in Central Europe are now more and more aware of the fact that the heat stress caused by high environmental temperatures is an important factor affecting the economy of their breeding. Moreover, global and regional climate models project further changes of climate conditions towards higher temperatures over European continent and the Czech Republic.

Life expectancy , the most common cause of death and illness small dog breeds
Kindlová, Iveta ; Fiala Šebková, Naděžda (advisor) ; Jana, Jana (referee)
The dog was domesticated approximately 15,000 years ago. We can find large number of breeds of various sizes, types and colours. Small dogs plays an important role in some cultures, religion or society. Most of them were bred in order to meet specific need. Among small breeds of dogs we find bold and hardy terriers, intelligent and funny poodles and bichon or hunting dogs. Durring the domestication of dogs enormous genetic pressure was developed and it was reflected in the health of dogs. The aim of thesis was to find out the average life expectancy of small dog breeds and to reveal the most frequent diseases and causes of death. Data were obtained from 441 individuals of different purebred dogs with pedigree, 196 males and 245 females. Data of the health profile of individuals came from the Czech Republic and from abroad. The total life expectancy, life expectancy by gender and breeds, death causes, incidence of the disease during life, or whether castration effected life expectancy were assessed. It was found that the life expectancy of small breed dogs is 11.8 years. The average age of males and females were differed by about three months. The females lived longer. Statistically significant difference was not found. Quite a lot of individuals (45%) were castrated. Statistically significant differences were confirmed between castrated and uncastrated bitches. Neutered bitches lived for about one and a half year longer. The most common cause of death of small dog breeds became overall age (34.6%). The second one was cancer (26.3%). Two hypotheses were set. The first hypothesis assumes that females of small breed dogs live longer than males. This hypothesis was not confirmed. The second hypothesis was that one of the predisposing factors for longevity is a long time exposure of the ovary in the body. Neutered bitches up to 8 years of life and uncastrated females live longer than females neutered before (under the age of 5). This hypothesis has not also been confirmed. It was confirmed, that there is a statistically significant difference between castrated and uncastrated females, regardless of the age of castration. Neutered bitches lived for about one and a half years longer. Further, statistically significant differences between castrated and uncastrated females within the breed were confirmed. For Scottish Terrier breed neutered bitches survived for about five years longer than uncastrated females.
Expected impact of climate change and their relationship to distribution, growth and development of thermophilic fruit trees in the Czech Republic
Ciprová, Lenka ; Potopová, Vera (advisor) ; Jana, Jana (referee)
The main objective of the Master's thesis is to collect and evaluate scientific information and processing datasets of expected impact of climate change and their relationship to distribution, growth and development of thermophilic fruit trees in the Czech Republic. The first and second parts of the literature research are focused on the impact of global warning and economic/agricultural conditions on growth and development of the thermophilic species of fruit trees at the global, regional and local levels. The next section deals with the relationship of thermophilic fruit trees production with climatic, soil conditions, phenology and economic factors, which greatly affect yields in the Czech Republic. This study was conducted on daily meteorological variables (sum of global radiation, maximum and minimum temperatures) and annual yield datasets of Apricot (Armeniaca vulgaris) and Peach (Prunus Persica) trees at the country level for the period 2005-2015. The obtained new results can be divided into 3 parts: (1) catalogue of meteorological phenomena during the growing season, (2) catalogue of meteorological phenomena during the period of dormancy, and (3) statistical analyses of meteorological extreme events during flower/flowering formation of the Apricot and Peach trees. Results based on the analysis of historical phenological observations and descriptive statistics of yield parameters of thermophilic fruit trees over the study period shown that (i) mainly spring phenological stages of the thermophilic fruit trees shown a tendency to an earlier onset, (ii) the highest variability in the phenophase onsets of Apricot and Peach are in the inflorescence emergence and beginning of flowering, (iii) the coefficients of variation were higher for Peach with year-to-year variations in crop yields, and (iv) Peach had the largest fluctuations in average annual production (from 0.48 to of 0.72 tha-1 year-1).
