The work deals with chronical desease impacts on psychological well-being of patients, ways how patients see themselves and understand their position. Chronical disease is often leading to a loss of selfconfidence and feelings of alienation. These factors get negatively projected to the life of patients and it makes sence to eliminate or minimize them. Situation has been investigated by using questionnaires and discusions with patients. Diabetic patients have been asked questions about their way of life and how they cope with problems caused by the disease. The work is providing an overview of diabetes mellitus linked stressing factors provided by the survey respondents and the ways how they cope with the disease.. Key words: Diabetes mellitus, psychic complications of diabetes, social identity of a diabetic patient, diseasse acceptance, diabetic patient in a family and work team.
ANALYSIS OF AMPNIBIAN NADITAT PREFERENCES IN THE NORTH - EAST PART OF THE TŘEBÍČ DISTRICT
Jeřábková, Lenka ; Švátora, Miroslav (advisor) ; Rehák, Ivan (referee)
8 ABSTRACT In the north-east part of the Třebíč district 108 water sites were repeatedly monitored to analyze breeding of amphibians where its 11 species were proven by this research. Bombina bombina, Bufo bufo, Bufo viridis, Hyla arborea, Pelobates fuscus were proven in line with previous studies. However, species Triturus cristatus, Triturus vulgaris, Rana temporaria, Rana dalmatina, Rana esculenta synklepton were monitored in the region for the first time ever. Distinctly high values of the species presence were reached by BufBuf (60,2 %), RanEscSyn (78,7 %) and HylArb (48,1 %). In contrast, species TriCri, TriVul, BufVir, RanArv, RanDal were found in the region with low frequency. There were found positive correlations in the proportion of littoral, natant and submerse vegetation and in the transparency of the water column and in contrast negative correlations were found in the extent of urban areas and with the number of amphibians breeding in the water site. The Redundancy analysis (RDA) helped to discover statistically significant influence of the environmental variables (proportion of littoral vegetation, transparency, water site total surface and lastly number of other water sites within the range of 500 metres) on the presence of amphibians on the water sites. Consequently, "ideal breeding sites"...
Inhibice lidského rekombinantního CYP2D6 isochinolinovými alkaloidy
Jeřábková, Lenka ; Štaud, František (advisor) ; Pourová, Jana (referee)
The purpose of this work was to screen a set of isoquinoline alkaloids for their inhibitory potency toward CYP450 isoenzyme CYP2D6. Since the human cytochrome P450 plays a pivotal role in a metabolism of both xenobiotics and endogenous substances, studying its interactions is a basic task in early drug development. CYP2D6 is due to its high polymorphism monitored very often. The in vitro method with fluorometric detection was used to determine the inhibitory effect of 20 alkaloids towards the recombinant human CYP2D6. Isoquinoline alkaloids were divided into the groups based on their relative structures. It was determined that 11 out of 20 are potent inhibitors, 3 moderate, 5 weak and one is not inhibitor. In percentage representation it means that 70% of all measured compounds are at least moderate potent inhibitors to CYP2D6 in this assay. They create mainly the members of protoberberine alkaloid group. The structure of these compounds might contribute to the searching of new inhibitors for data-sets for in silico drug metabolism predicting methods.
The influence of the burnout syndrome on the sexuality of paramedics
Kunešová, Kristýna ; Dynáková, Šárka (advisor) ; Jeřábková, Lenka (referee)
Introduction to the issue: This paper examines the impact of burnout syndrome, which is common among caring professionals, on the sexuality of male paramedics. The term "burnout" was coined in the US 25 years ago. Burnout is defined as a mental state resulting from constant and long-term exposure to stress, especially in relation to psychosocial work factors (Melamed and Shirom, 2006). The effect of burnout syndrome on sexuality is a topic that has received very little attention. That is why I decided to cooperate with PhDr. Šárka Dynáková, Ph.D. and doc. PhDr. Jan Kožnar, CSc, who are working on an international study in the Czech Republic on the effects of burnout syndrome on human health. Methodology: For the theoretical part of this diploma thesis, use was made of monographs and databases. For the practical part, quantitative data was collected using standardized questionnaires distributed among male paramedics. The first questionnaire focused on burnout syndrome using a validated questionnaire for the Czech Republic, one that applies the Shirom-Melamed scale from 2006 (Ptáček, 2013). An extended Kroměříž version of the Sexual Functions of Men questionnaire was used for collecting the data on sexuality (Kratochvíl, 1999). After establishing five working hypotheses (H), the relationship between...

Premonstratensian Education in the Czech Territory in the 19th Century This specific study contributes to the knowledge of the Order in our territory in the course of the 19th century and it explores the activity of the Premonstratensian in the schools established by them. The topic is approached in the broader context of the education of the examined era. The study explains the characteristics of the schooling and education organisation system as well, focusing on the specific problematic of religious schooling and education from various points of view. As part of the argument, the Order of Canons Regular of Prémontré is described and an evaluation of its educational activities in the course of all the history of the Order is provided. A significant part of the study is dedicated to the Strahov Abbey and its educational facilities, especially to the schools that were restored or undertaken by the Order in the researched period. The conclusive part characterises other schools run by orders in the territories of Bohemia and Moravia.
The role of a nurse in the pharmacotherapy team from the point of view of a pharmacist
Vilímová, Petra ; Heczková, Jana (advisor) ; Jeřábková, Lenka (referee)
A general nurse may, without clinical supervision, administer medicinal products with the exception of intravenous injections (IV) or infusions in newborns and children under 3 years of age and with the exception of radiopharmaceuticals. This activity is regulated in Decree No. 55/2011 Coll. by Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic. The preparation and administration of the medicinal product is an integral part of the everyday practice of a l nurse; however, the dimensions of this procedure are very broad, and it does not start and end with the administration of the prescribed medicinal product. In the wider context, this is a multi-disciplinary process, in which other health professionals can participate with their well-founded roles. Determining individual roles and collaboration in the multi-disciplinary team composed of a doctor, a nurse and a clinical pharmacist has an effect on the correct pharmacological treatment of the patient. Of all professions, nurses spend time with patients. 40 % of their time administering medications; therefore, they play a key role in the reduction of medication errors. (Miller et all, 2016). The aim of the research is to analyze the current role of the nurse in the administration of medicinal products from the perspective of a clinical pharmacist. The research...
The influence of the burnout syndrome on the sexuality of non-medical male health care workers in emergency care setting in university hospitals
Machalová, Andrea ; Jeřábková, Lenka (advisor) ; Kulířová, Veronika (referee)
Introduction: The topic of burnout syndrome is a considerably up-to date topic worldwide and not completely thoroughly researched. The aim of the diploma thesis is to learn whether a higher rate of burnout syndrome has an effect on sexuality in non-medical male health workers in urgent care workplaces in teaching facilities. The topic of the syndrome has fascinated me as a healthcare worker in urgent care. The information obtained from the research work will be a partof an international study investigating the impact of the burnout syndrome on human health. In the Czech Republic, this research is conducted under the authority of PhDr. Šárka Dynáková, Ph.D. and doc. PhDr. Jana Kožnara, CSc. Methodology: The research was carried out using a quantitative method using two anonymous questionnaires. The research sample consisted of non-medical male health workers at urgent care facilities in teaching hospitals. The first standardized questionnaire is focused on the burnout syndrome according to the Czech version of the Shirom-Melamed scale (Shirom, Melamed, 2006 In Ptáček, 2013), the second questionnaire is focused on the sexual functions of men according to Mellan in Kratochvíl, S. (1999). A total of 100 questionnaires were distributed. 58 questionnaires were used for processing. Result: The influence...
Factors influencing turnover of nurses in the Czech Republic
Sedešova, Julie ; Heczková, Jana (advisor) ; Jeřábková, Lenka (referee)
Introduction: The shortage of nurses is a global problem of a multifactorial nature, to which demographic change in the world's population contributes greatly. In the future, a growing imbalance in the supply and demand of nursing staff can be expected, and according to WHO estimates (2015), the deficit of nurses and midwives will reach 7.6 million in 2030. The lack of nurses is largely due to their turnover, which is influenced by a number of interrelated factors and has a negative impact on the quality and safety of health care, the economy, health systems and the nurses themselves. The first step in solving this issue is to examine the causes of institutional and professional turnover of nurses and then create stabilization measures. Aim: Identify, characterize and analyse the factors that influenced the decision to change the current job position of general nurses with more than two years of experience. Methodology: Qualitative research was carried out through individual semi-structured interviews, phenomenological approach and method of purposeful selection was methodologically chosen. The research survey was attended by 14 general nurses from Prague hospitals aged 30 to 52 years. Data collection was terminated by reaching theoretical saturation. Data analysis was performed using open coding...
The role of preceptor nurse in the transition period at the selected workplace
Polidarová, Zuzana ; Heczková, Jana (advisor) ; Jeřábková, Lenka (referee)
Introduction: A nurse preceptorship is essential in the transition period (TP) of novice nurses. Especially in intensive care workplaces, where training for highly specialized and demanding care is provided. TP thus becomes a sensitive period in which the employee decides whether to remain in the workplace or even in the profession. Methodology: This is qualitative study with the main focus of the survey on the specific experience of preceptors with TP management. Data collection was performed using semi-structured interviews with preceptor nurses in one selected workplace of intensive care. Data analysis was performed in 4 steps, open coding and sorting of data into categories and subcategories were used. Results: Six main topics were identified: Preceptors' experience from their own transition, TP organization attributes, Evaluation and feedback, The role of the preceptor nurse, Critical moments and Factors influencing the TP. The experience of trainers from their own TP is a significant predictor for their individual way of training and leading novice nurses. Evaluation and feedback have a culture and should be performed regularly in cycles to achieve the purpose. The preceptor has many roles, participates in the creation of social relationships with the novice, he himself strives to establish...
