Electronic support for learning. Use of the multiple steps e-learning concept in medical biophysics
Nosek, Tomáš ; Hanuš, Josef (advisor) ; Bolek, Lukáš (referee) ; Kolářová, Hana (referee)
Electronic support for learning -Use of the multiple steps e-learning concept in medical biophysics The aim of our work was to create and test a new concept of education based on modern e-learning methods. It should respond to our needs of higher individualization of education in terms of time, content and place. We named it the MSL concept - the Multiple Steps Learning concept. In the spirit of our concept we created three courses in LMS Moodle as support of practical education in Medical Biophysics. We started a pilot project to test the quality of the courses and their impact on knowledge of students. For evaluation of the courses we used our own modification of eLSE methodology. To test the impact on knowledge we compared the results of end-term tests between subsequent years - the education with and without e-learning support. The results of our pilot project show clearly that we created good quality courses. However, the impact of the new method on knowledge is not clear. According to the collected data the difference between both methods of education is not statistically significant but we experienced some serious problems during data acquisition and that is why the validity of the data is at least disputable. These problems gave rise to a new methodology of gained knowledge comparison which was an...
Dynamical processes in Jupiter's and Saturn's ring systems
Řehák, Matyáš ; Brož, Miroslav (advisor) ; Hanuš, Josef (referee)
The main subject of this thesis is a review of dynamical processes acting in Jupiter's and Saturn's rings. The thesis is divided into three chapters. Observed orbital and physical characteristics of the rings are described in the first one. In Chapter 2, we discuss physical processes forming the rings. Tidal disruptions, mutual collisions of ring particles, meteoroid bombardment and ballistic transport are among them. Various electromagnetic effects are analyzed too - e.g. the Poynting-Robertson effect, the Lorentz resonaces, plasma drag and radiation pressure. Yet another types of phenomena are resonant gravitational influence of satellites, shepherding moons and also collective dynamics of ring particles which results in formation of spiral waves. Finally, there is a review of theories concerning the origin of Saturn's rings in Chapter 3. We can distinguish three types of models - a disruption of a moon, a disruption of an external body and a formation from protolunar matter. At present, a tidal disruption of large differentiated moon seems to be the most probable theory.
The Methodology of Measurement of Biomechanical Properties of Biological Materials
Kuchařová, Monika ; Ďoubal, Stanislav (advisor) ; Hanuš, Josef (referee) ; Petrtýl, Miroslav (referee)
Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of biophysics and physical chemistry Candidate: Mgr. Monika Kuchařová Supervisor: Prof. Ing. RNDr. Stanislav Ďoubal, CSc. Title of Doctoral Thesis: The methodology of measurement of biomechanical properties of biological materials As a part of this dissertation thesis a methodology of measurement of mechanical properties of viscoelastic materials was developed. The methodology was then verified and applied in measurement of shoulder-blades of pheasants and in measurement of the trabecular section of human caput femoris in bending and twisting stress, viscoelastic parameters of these materials were also calculated. Results, in the case of human bones, were compared with measurement of body mass density and content of vitamin D. Mechanical behaviour of many biological materials corresponds to the behaviour of so- called viscoelastic body. These materials cannot be categorized simply as solids or liquids. The mechanical behaviour of this type of materials has partially elastic and partially viscose character. Skin, cell walls, bones, numerous structures of internal organs and many other materials belong to this category. In spite of the fact that in physiological conditions biological materials are loaded dynamically, in...
Financing of Business Plan - the Purchase of Project Office
Jezberová, Pavla ; Hanuš, Josef (referee) ; Ptáček, Roman (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on strategic and financial analyzes of a chosen company. The company´s aim is to open an office. The main aim of this thesis is to recommend the best choice of financing based on the analyzes of thecompany and the financial offers available on the market.
Foreign market entry strategy of the company PETROF, spol. s r. o.
Nekrepová, Nataša ; Zamykalová, Miroslava (advisor) ; Hanuš, Josef (referee)
The first chapter of the thesis is dedicated to the company PETROF, its history, present and production of acoustic pianos. In the second chapter, the thesis describes the world market of acoustic pianos, PETROF's position on this market and its competitors. The third chapter follows up the theory of international marketing strategy on the example of PETROF. The company's most important sales market are listed in the last chapter, where a recommendation is given.
