OF MASTER THESIS Author: Bc. Kateřina Králová Supervisor: MUDr. Tereza Gueye Title of master thesis: Evaluation of Occupational Therapy Intervention in Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation of Cerebrovascular Units Abstract This diploma thesis deals with the evaluation of occupational interventions on the specific separation of beds of early rehabilitation of the cerebrovascular center of the General University Hospital in Prague. The subject of interest is primarily the results of the assessment obtained through the Functional Independence Measure (FIM) and the Montreal Cognitive Assessment. The thesis has two main objectives, namely mapping and analyzing the tools used to assess self-sufficiency and cognitive functions in the department. You can find the description of the evaluation tools in the theoretical part of the thesis. It is also an overview of the topic of the selected topic and a brief description of the system of cerebrovascular care in the Czech Republic. The second objective was to evaluate variables such as length of hospitalization and cognitive status in relation to patient self-sufficiency at the end of hospitalization. Three hypotheses have been identified to meet this goal. The practical part describes the results of the used tools for a particular department. The research group...

Title: Use of dancing mat in physiotherapy of patients with multiple sclerosis Abstract: The bachelor thesis deals with the use of dancing mat in physiotherapy of patients with multiple sclerosis. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate overall the use and effectiveness of therapy with a dance mat in physiotherapy and possible effect on gait performance, balance and movement coordination. The thesis includes theoretical part and practical part. The theoretical part of the thesis describes the multiple sclerosis in general and how can be symptoms influenced by physiotherapy. The practical part summarise effect of music and dance intervention on people with multiple sclerosis and introduce dancing mat as potencional rehabilitation tool. Practical part includes four case reports of physiotherapy program with dance pad. Effects of this type of therapeutic intervention is evaluated by functional walking tests (T25FW), balance assessment (Berg Balance Scale, the Mini-BESTest), gait performance assassment (the GAITRite instrument). Results are presented in tables and graphes. In discussion part my results are compared with results of similar studies. Key words: exercise, physiotherapy, multiple sclerosis, dance, dancing mat

BAKALÁŘSKÉ PRÁCE V AJ Author: Michaela Klásková Supervisor: Mgr. Markéta Gerlichová, Ph. D. Opponent: Title of bachelors thesis: The effect of music therapy on patients with Parkinson's disease from the perspective of a physiotherapist Abstract: The thesis focuses on music therapy in persons suffering from Parkinson's disease from the perspective of a physiotherapist. The theoretical outcomes of search studies declare that Parkinson's disease is characterized by motor and non-motor symptoms which have a significant impact on the quality of patients' lives. Furthermore, this work provides us with the search of available literature sources from the area of music therapy, which is one of the methods affecting a range of symptoms of the disease and thus contributing to the improvement of patients' self-reliance and independence. The theoretical part also concentrates on the results of foreign studies carried out in the field of music therapy. In addition, it offers a list of options of the use of music therapy in persons with Parkinson's disease. As a result, we have become aware of the possibilities of music therapy and their utilization in persons' suffering from Parkinson's disease. The influence of music therapy on stability and reactibility of vertebrogenic patients as viewed by a physiotherapist Objectivisation by the posturography
Zajíčková, Jana ; Gerlichová, Markéta (advisor) ; Gueye, Tereza (referee)
The therapy of vertebral issues is nowadays (at the present time) an inherent part of the physiotherapist's work. The main aim of this study is to find out, if we are able to change stability and reactibility of patients with vertebral issues by using selected elements of musical therapy. As an ulterior aim I chose to evaluate respondent's subjective feelings about changes in their vertebral issues and to compare advantages and disadvantages of integrating musical therapy into therapeutical unit. In the theoretical part I am writing about musical therapy as a branch of science which is trying to find its place in our health care. I am also writing about postural motor skills, posturography as an objectiv evaluating method and about vertebral issues with its etiology. An important chapter in this theoretical part is about psychosomatics, which often causes back pain. For practical part of the theses I prepared 10 musical therapy sessions. Main aim of these sessions was to influent musculosceletal system, reactibility and stability of respondents. To evaluate objectively the results the posturography was used. Materials used to fulfill ulterior aims were taken by a questionnaire.
