Design of a Body and Sensor System of a Robot
Marvan, Aleš ; Drahanský, Martin (referee) ; Orság, Filip (advisor)
This thesis deals with a problematic of mobile robot design. There is proposed a design and realization of a mobile robot intended for an international competition - Minisumo. The first step in the development process is collecting of information, which helps us to find the most suitable elements. The next step is choosing of the individual elements fulfilling the design requirements according to their specification.
Laser Beam Detection and Localization in the External Environment
Horňanská, Lucie ; Baláž, Teodor (referee) ; Drahanský, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor thesis aims on the method of laser beam detection and localization in the external environment. The theoretic part focuses on the basic principle of laser operation, its types, legislation that regulates them, beam optics, types of cameras with the possibility of using photographic filters, image processing and object detection methods in the image. The practical part presents the process of creating a database of images and describes the design and implementation of an algorithm for detecting the laser, its target point or source in the image and subsequent localization in a three-dimensional coordinate system. Finally, the achieved results of the created program are evaluated and the possibilities for improvement are presented.
Porting and Optimization Algorithms for Detecting Finger Veins on DSP Blackfin
Trhoň, Adam ; Drahanský, Martin (referee) ; Marvan, Aleš (advisor)
This thesis discuss optimizations of algorithms for finger vein map extraction from finger image taken in NIR spectrum. The algorithm is also ported on development kit with DSP Blackfin. For optimization the median filtering was mainly considered (resulting in histogram-based median filter) and the amount of memory used during extraction (resulting in semi-parallel pipeline of image filters). Simple hardware abstraction layer is also implemented.
Liveness Detection of Human Hand from Multispectral Images
Kľučiar, Adam ; Drahanský, Martin (referee) ; Sakin, Martin (advisor)
This thesis is aimed at liveness detection from multispectral palm images. The theoretical part includes the importance of liveness detection in biometry systems and it discusses several methods of liveness detection, hardware and software-based. Subsequently, there is a summary of individual parts of the human skin and an explanation of the light spectrum, its division and the importance of individual parts for liveness detection and their effect on individual parts of the skin. The outcome of this thesis is the design and implementation of an algorithm capable of detecting anorganic hand imitations by their properties acquired from a set of images taken under the light of three different wavelengths.
Reconstruction of Facial Images Using Neural Networks
Zubalík, Petr ; Drahanský, Martin (referee) ; Goldmann, Tomáš (advisor)
The main purpose of this bachelor's thesis is to propose and implement a model, using neural networks, that will be able to reconstruct low-resolution facial images with blurry parts of the face. The task of super-resolution of facial images is solved by two models based on convolutional neural networks. The first model is built upon the architecture of ResNet whereas the other model makes use of the principles of generative adversarial networks. The proposed models are implemented in the Python programming language with the use of application programming interface of the TensorFlow framework. Moreover, as a part of this work, an application with a simple grafical user interface was created. This application makes it easy to use the implemented models. Several experiments are analyzed in the last chapter of this thesis to evaluate the performance of the models.
Algorithm for Realistic Vascular Circulation of Synthetic Retina
Dvořák, Martin ; Drahanský, Martin (referee) ; Semerád, Lukáš (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to improve an existing tool for creating synthetic retina of the eye. The improvement of an existing software is carried out by changing the algorithm for creation vascular bed. The problem was solved by designing an algorithm which is based on real behavior  of vascular system in the retina of the eye. Real pictures were statistically recorded. Mathematical programs created aproximation curves of the blood vessels. Directions of the blood vessels, locations of branching and a number of branching of blood vessels were observed. A model for generation of synthetic pictures was designed based on discovered information and probability of branching. The main results are synthetic retinas which contain patterns of behavior of a real retina of the eye. These pictures have similar number of blood vessels, aiming towards the same location and branching in the same points as real pictures.
Augmented Reality on Smartphones
Minda, Marek ; MA, Patrick Jost, BSc (referee) ; Drahanský, Martin (advisor)
System for Long-Term Measurement of Patient Pressure
Petrovič, Michal ; Rydlo, Štěpán (referee) ; Drahanský, Martin (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is to create an algorithm to model the peak flux of patients at cardiology clinics to improve the handling time per patient by the doctors. The focus of the project was to improve the retrieval, processing and displaying of patient's blood pressure results to a doctor. To tackle this problem, a computer program was written that automatically downloads the relevant blood pressure data, analyses it and presents it to the attending doctor. The developed application includes the possibility to monitor the blood pressure over a selected time interval, interpreting the results and recognize arrhythmia. The proposed solution simplifies the patient's life, decreases the waiting time for the attending doctor and thus increases his efficiency.
Design and Testing of Stochastic Navigation in Traffic Simulator TRASI
Erben, Vojtěch ; Drahanský, Martin (referee) ; Honzík, Petr (advisor)
The thesis deals with the design and implementation of routing algorithms in trafic simulator TRASI. These algorithms are capable of planning vehicle's route by giving a set of crossroads that vehicle needs to go through. Furthermore, this work deals with design and implementation of stochastic navigation including implementation of communication between vehicles. Stochastic navigation suggests several alternative routes based on a traffic event. From these routes is randomly (stochastically) choosen one based on information about the throughput of particular found routes. In the introduction of this work is described the traffic simulator TRASI, it's user interface and basic control interface. Further is described theory of traffic flow on macroscopic and microscopic level, followed by the descripion of algorithms for oriented graphs traversal and their implementation in the simulator. In the following parts of this thesis is described communication layer, that takes care of the communication between vehicles, and it's implementation. Further is described design and implementation of stochastic navigation. In the final chapter is done verification of the functionality of the simulator and tests of particular routing algorithms.
