Title: Socio-economic profile of a parkour runner Goals: Goal of this bachelor thesis is to specify socio-economic profile of a parkour runner in Czech Republic Methods: Socio-economic profile of parkour runners (traceurs) was created by polling using questionnaires (both printed and electronic). Participants answered 23 questions. Majority (20) questions were of closed type, 3 were open questions. Collected data were quantified as frequency or stated as percentage. Microsoft Excel was used to create charts to present results in easy to read visual form. Results: Survey was taken by total of 145 participants. The group structure is as follows. Men to women ratio is 12:1. Average age of all polled runners was 18 years and 4 months. On average, Czech kids begin training around thirteen years of age, being in eight grade of elementary school. Vast majority (83%) of parkour runners are students, only 17% being employed. Only 37% of participants are members of some group or organization. Corresponding with the average age, most participants (34%) claimed gross monthly income below 3000 CZK. Most (33%) traceurs spend between 1000-3000 CZK on parkour equipment annually. Summary: Average age for beginning parkour training in Czech Republic is 13 years. Majority of traceurs are sport-loving students. They...

Müller, Martin ; Šafránek, Jiří (advisor) ; Brtník, Tomáš (referee)
Title: The Recumbent bike as a phenomenon of cycling. Objectives: This bachelor's thesis mainly focuses on an exploration of the history of recumbent cycling as a phenomenon in the Czech Republic. Methods: Quantitative data acquisition. The Results: According to qualified estimation, there are about 500 - 600 people who actively ride the recumbent bike in the Czech Republic. During a meeting, 66 participants filled our questionnaire. This number of participants corresponded to 60% of all participants. I concluded that most of the recumbent bikers are men aged 51 to 55. They prefer short wheelbase construction with an upper type of steering handlebars, rear wheel drive, and higher seating. They have 3 to 5 years of riding experience. They are mostly lone riders and They ride their bike once a week. They are attending recumbent bike meetings periodically and are not active recumbent bike racers. Not a single respondent is experiencing any health issues related to recumbent cycling. A few of them are using the recumbent bike as a compensatory exercise. The respondents have no trouble riding in traffic. To them, the most noticeable advantage is the ability to sit comfortably in comparison to conventional bicycles. As disadvantages, They have mentioned experiencing more difficulties in ascenting,...

Title: Trends in swimming training for individual medley events Objectives: The aim of our study was to analyze performance and training for 200 and 400 m individual medley events and describe new trends in training for these swimming events Methods: Our research design was a case study. We were interested in training of three swimmers of elite performance in the 200 and 400 m individual medley events. To identify cases, we used the analysis of documents and literature, to a limited extent, the method of interview. Results: Training of elite swimmers is characterized by a high training volume. Coaches uses mainly interval training methods. Training is highly specific. During the later stages of the annual training cycle training is focused on race pace in the high training volume. Key words: training, swimming, individual medley, periodization.

Horáková, Petra ; Baláš, Jiří (advisor) ; Brtník, Tomáš (referee)
Title: Effect of short-term programme in slackline on skills acquisition and ankle strength. Objectives: The aim of the work is to assess the short-term programme of specific skills and muscular strength of the ankle joint during mastering the slackline. Methods: Research sample consists of 20 probands without any experience with walking on a slackline. Probands were divided into three groups. The first training group consisted of 4 women and 2 men with mean age/body weight and heigh (24,5 ± 1,3 years / 63,7 ± 9 kg and 167,4 ± 8,3 cm). This group have trained on the slackline 2 times per week (1 training lesson lasted 60 minutes). The second training group consisted of 5 women and 3 men with mean age/body weight and height (24,6 ± 0,69 years / 70,05 ± 9,1 kg and 176,6 ± 7,7 cm). This group have trained on the slackline 1 time per a week. The third control group consisted of 5 women and 1 man with mean age/body weight and height (25,7 ± 3 years, 63,2 ± 7,4 kg and 168,7 ± 5 cm). Training programme lasted 8 weeks. Skill level was measured at the beginning, in the middle and in the end of the training programme. Measurement was carried out in a place on the slackline called "sweet spot". Further, we measured the strenght of dorsal and plantar flexion of the ankle joint. This strength was measured by...
The Structure of Performance in Snowboardcross and Training
Novák, Emil ; Vomáčko, Ladislav (advisor) ; Brtník, Tomáš (referee)
Title: The Structure of Performance in Snowboardcross and Training Objectives: Aim of the bachelor thesis is to suggest and justify conception of snowboardcross training work record, to attempt answering these questions: what to record, register and evaluate to be able to use all the information in next training cycles of the Olympic discipline Snowboardcross. Methods: We used the interview method to compile all convenient questions in questionnaires. The questionnaire method gave us information about the sport performance structure in snowboardcross. We applied the method of analysis to compare results, the test battery, the anunal work load indicators, the somatic factors and the races results. Results: On the basis of the evoluated data we found that the most important factor in snowboardcross training is technique. This factor depend on somatic factors which must be adapted to condition factors. Psychological factors are specific to each racer and their training must be based on individual needs. . Brtník, Tomáš ; Čechovská, Irena (advisor) ; Chrzanowská, Babeta (referee)
Title of thesis: Front crawl technique of 12 years old boys The aim of our study is to determine key points of front crawl technique of 12 years old boys and recognize importance of technique component participation in performance of youth swimmers. Two groups of swimmers cooperated with us, in first group there were top 3 swimmers of front crawl event in Czech national championship (7 boys) and in second group there were swimmers of lower performance (2 boys). We used observation and qualitative analysis of video tapes we had recorded in the swimming flume and analysed the recorded tapes in the Dartfish software. We compared the technique of monitored swimmers with the model technique. The results of our study indicates posibility of different front crawl technique of youth swimmers. Swimmers of this age nearly avoid the basic mistakes of front crawl but in some ways we find differences between model technique and technique of the tested swimmers. Although the technique of both groups is quite diferrent we don't think it is the main reason of different performance. Key words: swimming, front crawl stroke, youth boys, flum, analysis

Brtník, Tomáš ; Kračmar, Bronislav (advisor) ; Novotný, Petr (referee)
Title: The comparative kineziologic analysis of a swimming cycle and the selected streghtend exercises Purposes: The aim of the thesis is to compare muscle timing in shoulder girdle during a swimming cycle and the selected streghtend exercises Methods: Surface electromyography combinated with kinematography analysis used synchronized video recording. Results: The muscle activation timing of the swimming cycle crawl in the water proof is more comparative with the muscle activation timing of the stepping cycle by the rubber expander use than the swimming simulator use. Key words: Swimming cycle, shoulder girdle, surface electromyography, kinematics analysis.
