Degradation of polyesteramides on the basis of E-caprolactam and E-caprolactone
Chromcová, D. ; Brožek, J. ; Roda, J. ; Náhlík, J. ; Šašek, Václav
A set of polyesteramides was prepared by anion copolymerization of E-caprolactam and E-caprolactone was prepared and their physico-chemical properties were tested. Simultaneously, their biodegradability was studied and evaluated by scanning electron microscopy
Microscopic traffic modelling in urban areas
Brožek, Jan ; Plášek, Josef (referee) ; Apeltauer, Tomáš (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with a traffic modeling from theoretical and practical per-spectives. Microscopic traffic models for various circumstances were created in the Aimsun software and then they were compared with each other.
Design and characterization of advanced polymer-coated upconversion nanoparticles
Kostiv, Uliana ; Horák, Daniel (advisor) ; Kaman, Ondřej (referee) ; Brožek, Jiří (referee)
Lanthanide-based upconversion nanoparticles are able to absorb low-energy near-infrared (NIR) photons and emit visible or ultraviolet light. This unique optical property enables luminescent detection without autofluorescence from biological samples that is crucial for bioimaging and diagnostics. Moreover, NIR irradiation allows to deliver light deep into the tissue, which can be used for drug or gene delivery and NIR-induced photodynamic therapy (PDT) of tumors. Despite huge effort during the last 10 years devoted to the upconversion nanoparticle synthesis and their surface engineering, preparation of the particles suitable for biomedical applications still remains a big challenge. The current work is focused on synthesis of the upconversion nanoparticles with controllable morphology, size, distribution, crystallinity, and high upconversion efficiency, as well as on desirable surface modification by biocompatible inorganic or organic polymers. Neat and functionalized homogeneous silica shell was introduced on the NaYF4:Yb3+ /Er3+ and NaGdF4:Yb3+ /Er3+ nanoparticles to enhance their biocompatibility and colloidal stability in water. To render the nanoparticles with targeting moieties, their surface was decorated with cell-adhesive RGD or cell-penetrating TAT peptides. The RGD- and TAT- conjugated...
Hybrid materials with improved thermomechanical properties
Perchacz, Magdalena ; Beneš, Hynek (advisor) ; Vlček, Tomáš (referee) ; Brožek, Jiří (referee)
Epoxy resins have been broadly used in the industry for adhesives, laminates, coatings, composites, encapsulation of electronic devices, printed circuit boards, etc. Despite their excellent adhesion to different materials, heat and chemical resistance and good mechanical properties, they also exhibit few drawbacks like brittleness, high thermal expansion coefficient (CTE), poor resistance to crack initiation and growth. Therefore, the thesis is focused on the preparation of epoxy-silica hybrid materials exhibiting improved thermomechanical properties compared to the neat epoxides, without impairing their beneficial features. The main synthetic route of epoxy-silica hybrids' preparation has been the sol-gel process of alkoxysilanes, allowing either in-situ formation of high purity and homogeneity silica particles or creation of various siloxane structures in a form of liquid (sol) silica-based precursors. The sol-gel method, on one hand, helps to omit too high viscosity of nanofiller suspension and energy-intensive nanofiller dispergation problems, but on the other hand, is often associated with necessity to use solvents and to remove formed volatiles. Therefore, in the first part of the thesis, a simple solvent-free sol-gel procedure, enabling to minimize the side-effect of solvent evaporation and...
Using version management systems in software development
Holada, David ; Brožek, Jiří (advisor) ; Pavlíček, Josef (referee)
This thesis talks about version control sytems usage in terms of software development. There is introduced historical background of these systems together with reasons for their creation. Next are listed today's most used version control systems which are compared between each other. Further, there are showcased basic commands for work with version control systems. For demonstration of these commands is chosen version control system called Git. In practical part of this thesis there is talked about aplication of Git in Brackets IDE plugin Brackets Git. Finally, there are compared options for work with Git on server and options of auto-deployment.
Exogenous factors selected for the development of football talent
Brožek, Jan ; Perič, Tomáš (advisor) ; Kokštejn, Jakub (referee)
Title: Exogenous factors selected for the development of football talent Targets: The aim of this study was to characterize selected exogenous factors influencing the development of football talent. Find out how and how much these factors influence the football talents in the Czech Republic. Methods: In the work was used qualitative research. Structured interview method was applied to obtain information from agents and football coaches of youth teams. The questionnaire method with open questions was applied to the football talent and stakeholders of football grounds. Comparison method was used to compare the information. Results: The results summarize the degree of influence and share of each factor in the development of football talent in the Czech Republic. Results from questionnaires and interviews are presented in a written summary and presented in the same order in which questions were asked. Keywords: Talent, football, football agent
Analysis of avalanche activity in Giant Mountains during 1999 - 2009
Veselá, Veronika ; Brožek, Jiří (referee) ; Vomáčko, Ladislav (advisor)
Title: Analysis of the avalanche situation in the Giant Mountains in the period 1999-2009 Objectives of work: Evaluation of weather and terrain conditions in the Czech part of Giant Mountains and the resulting avalanche situation arising. methods: Text analysis and documents relating to the issue lunge avalanches, time series analysis of monitoring weather and snow conditions in the years 1999/2009, the method of interview. results: After each day I announced to assess weather and snow in the winter seasons in 1999-2009. I compared the individual avalanche paths, their parameters and frequency of avalanches falls depending on conditions. Keywords Avalanche, the classification of avalanches, avalanche path, cadastre of avalanche, weather, Giant, climatic conditions
Architecture first half of the 20th century in the western part of the Ústí Region ( in preparation of art teachers and the educational use of the work with electronic media )
Pavlíček, Tomáš ; Šamšula, Pavel (advisor) ; Brožek, Jaroslav (referee) ; Kratochvíl, Petr (referee)
The paper "The Architecture of the First Half of the Twentieth Century in the Western Part of the Ústi Region" ( in the preparation of art pedagogy and its didactical use in the realm of electronic media) covers - as it is obvious from the title - not only the architecture and its pedagogical reflection. In the first part of the paper the author tries to touch a phenomenon of the relationship of the society to the area itself. This phenomenon is significant as it unveils the social relationships and forces which were decisive in not only forming the region, but also influencing the way of interpretating the history, especially the history of the first half of the twentieth century. The main part of the paper consists of a description of the architecture in the interim period between the two world wars, in the identification of its creators, in the discerning of its Czech and German origins. The focus on the Ústi region is not by chance, as it is the home region of the author. The region is defined, starting at Ústi nad Labem going as far as Chomutov. This part traces the architectural development of German creativity in the Czech area and compares it with the Czech product. In our paper we have to note the more conservative approach of the German architects, who combined the procedures of expressionism with...
Development of web application for company project planning support
Štrunc, Jan ; Brožek, Jiří (advisor) ; Jan, Jan (referee)
The bachelor thesis deals with programming web applications used to support project planning based on data maintained in its records. The theoretical part deals with the issue of application development and also mentions the technology that will be used for its development. The practical part will be devoted to the development and programming of various tools and applications themselves. The technology described in the first part will be applied to the development and well demonstrated.
