Integration of a pupil with special educational needs second grade of primary school

This thesis' topic is the integration of a pupil with specific learning disabilities at second grade of primary school. It is aimed at specific learning dofficulties of a pupil such as dyslexia and dysorthographia. The chosen pupil attends a primary school and he is integrated into an ordinary class. It is focused on suitable pedagogical approaches and the importance of his family, classmates, school environment. The main aim of this thesis is to introduce possibilities of the integrated education. The paper is organized into three parts - first two parts are theoretical and the third part is practical. The first theoretical part includes and defines specific learning difficulties - dyslexia, dysorthography and pedagogical diagnostics. The second one describes possibilities of pupil's education with specific learning disabilities. The legislation, definitions ofwords such as integration, inclusion and an individual educational plan is mentioned there. The third practical part introduces the integration process of the pupil at second grade of primary school in Suchdol. The first part summarizes the theoretical knowledge necessary for understanding the next part of the thesis. The second part is devoted to the actual research and its results. The aim of the thesis is to introduce the reader to the current form of the teacher-parent relationship from the point of view of selected teachers through their individual experience. This is achieved through mixed methods research - surveys and semi-structured interviews with selected respondents. The results of this thesis allow the reader to be knowledgeable in the current form of functioning of the teacher-parent re- lationship at the secondary level of elementary schools in the Czech Republic. Leisure Time Activities of Children in Orphanage Dolní Počernice

The thesis focuses on leisure time activities of children living in orphanage Dolní Počernice. The aim is to describe leisure time activities in which children are engaged and to determine whether the clients are satisfied with the range of various free time activities that they can choose from. The theoretical part of the thesis covers the following subjects: institutional care in the Czech Republic; characteristics of (non)functional family; the causes of placement of the child in the orphanage; social and psychological aspects of institutional care and its influence on the individual; and the purpose of leisure time education and its functions. The empirical part explores the research methods, namely the questionnaire and the semi- structured interview that were used in order to answer the research questions. The main findings are that the children are satisfied with the free time activities and that they spend their leisure time actively. The purpose of the thesis is to contribute to the discussion concerning mindful spending of the free time of children that are placed in the children's home. It emphases the importance of free time for prevention of pathological behavior and stresses the necessity of attaining free time competencies for improving the quality of children's lives.
