The Business Plan for Establishment of Accommodation Facility with Restaurant Services
Prokop, David ; Bednářová, Ing Lucie (referee) ; Bumberová, Veronika (advisor)
The Bachelor thesis focuses on establishment a real business plan for an accommodation facility with restaurant services. The thesis begins with defining theoretical fundamentals, proceeds to the internal and external analysis up to the main target of thesis which is creating an economically realistic business plan.
Study of Mechanical Damaging of Car Bodies with Different Tools in Context of Insurance Fraud
Bednářová, Lucie ; Tylšar, Vladimír (referee) ; Semela, Marek (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with a problem of insurance frauds in context with manipulated events. It describes the possible causes of committing this crime and the possibility of detection. In conjunction with the objectives of this thesis was carried out extensive experiments of mechanical damage of car bodies with defined tools. Origin of damage and its character were assessed in mechanoskopical terms. After that intentional damage of vehicles was compared with the declared traffic accidents and similar damage occurring at parked vehicles. This part can be used to create at a comparative database of intentional damage to vehicles in solving the technical acceptability of damage that is suitable material for use as an expert activities.
Vývoj likvidity bankovního sektoru ČR a vybraných zemí a jeho determinanty
Bednářová, Lucie
This thesis deals with the evaluation of liquidity Czech, Belgian, French and Austrian banking sector from 1998 to 2013 and examines the factors that have impact on liquidity. In thesis there are compared the development of indicators of liquidity in the countries and are identified by their specifics. The measured indicators are two indicators of liquidity levels and four indicators of the structure of bank liquidity. Determinants of liquidity indicators are evaluated by regression analysis at the level of individual banks, while the results of which are summarized in the banking sector in the country. The paper focuses attention on the possible risk of transmission of liquidity risk from foreign parent banks to 4 largest Czech banks.
Antimicrobial peptides isolated from the venom of wild bee Panurgus calcaratus
Čujová, Sabína ; Monincová, Lenka ; Slaninová, Jiřina ; Bednárová, Lucie ; Čeřovský, Václav
Three novel peptides designated as PNG-1, PNG-K and PNG-R were isolated from the venom of the solitary bee Panurgus calcaratus. They exhibited antimicrobial activity against Grampositive and -negative bacteria and fungi. In this work we focused on the characterization of PNG-R which is unique 25 amino acid residues and two disulfide bridges containing peptide. The secondary structure of PNG-R was studied by circular dichroism spectroscopy measured in water and in the presence of trifluoroethanol or sodium dodecyl sulfate.
Design of stable antimicrobial peptides through hydrocarbon stapling
Chapuis, Hubert Jean ; Slaninová, Jiřina ; Monincová, Lenka ; Bednárová, Lucie ; Čeřovský, Václav
From the venom of wild bee Lasioglossum laticeps we have recently isolated novel antimicrobial peptides named lasioglossins. One of them, LL-III (VNWKKILGKIIKVVK-NH2), is an amphipathic α-helical peptide which shows strong antimicrobial properties and a low hemolytic activity. We anticipated that the incorporation of an all-hydrocarbon staple (bridge) into the LL-III sequence could increase its propensity to form an α-helix and lead to an improvement of its proteolytic stability as well as increase the antimicrobial activity. LL-III analogs featuring olefinic side chains in various positions were prepared by solid phase peptide synthesis. Ring closing olefin metatheses catalyzed by Grubbs-I catalyst were carried out on the solid support, either between i and i+4 positions or between i and i+7 positions.
Melectin analogues: The influence of dendrimerization on antimicrobial and hemolytic activity
Niederhafner, Petr ; Šafařík, Martin ; Ježek, Jan ; Borovičková, Lenka ; Bednárová, Lucie ; Fučík, Vladimír ; Čeřovský, Václav ; Slaninová, Jiřina
Dimers and tetramers of MEP and MEP derivatives were synthesized on Fmoc-Lys(Fmoc)-Rink amide resin, the tetramer was obtained from the dimer C-terminally extended via Cys-Cys linkage. In general, the dendrimerization of MEP led to an increase of haemolytic activity but did not improve substantially its antimicrobial properties.
Novel biologically active peptides from the venom of the solitary bee Macropis fulvipes (HYMENOPTERA: MELITTIDAE)

Two peptides (macropine-1 and macropin-2) were isolated, their structure determined by Edman degradation and mass spectrometry, which exhibited potent antimicrobial activity against both Gram-positive and -negative bacteria and moderate hemolytic activity against rat erythrocytes. We prepared several MAC-1 analogs to study the effect of their structure on antimicrobial and hemolytic activities.
