CHANGE OF THE AREA OF BRNO FAIRS / Transformation of the western part of the complex /
Bauer, Karel ; Štěpánková, Lenka (referee) ; Havliš, Karel (advisor)
Brno trade fairs are the heart of Central Europe for exhibitions of everything interesting for already more than 90 years. Nevertheless, the most valuable exhibits are the urban and architectural values of the complex, which are reflecting the development of modern Czech architecture. Even after years of development, it is still necessary to look to the future, to solve the coming problems of generosity, to keep the high level of the area, to support its function and to keep legacy of the fairs for the next generation. As the main happenings moves further from the city centre, the issue is still more up to date on how to handle the west side of this area. In my work, I set out clearly the future urban planning of the trade fairs and divide the various functions into logically integrated areas. In the west part, I am creating a new administrative centre with a lot of other associated services. The basic idea is to create a permanent supporting superstructure, into which the variable function is inserted. I take advantage of the basic principles of smart city, flexibility and the versatility of buildings. To achieve a good connection of the complex with the surrounding area, I maintain the existing transport connections and make new possibilities of movement through the complex and the surrounding areas. This creates a new modern part of the complex, which could evolve over time based on the needs and requirements of its users.
The Relationship Between Theology and Poetry In Dorothee Sölle
Šipka, Magdaléna ; Kočandrle Bauer, Kateřina (advisor) ; Štampach, Ivan (referee)
This dissertation examines the poetry of Dorothee Sölle, particularly her seven books of collected poems - Meditationen & Gebrauchstexte, Revolutionäre geduld, Fliegen lernen, Spiel doch von brot und rosen, Verrückt nach licht, Zivil und ungehörsam, Loben ohne lügen. At least two poems from each book are chosen for analysis based on the theological concept they express. It thus attempts to cover most of the concepts Sölle elaborates upon in her works. The second part of the thesis then focuses on the use of biblical passages in Dorothee Sölle's poetry, offering to view them in three subject cathegories based on her ways of working with them. Those are 1) 2) Re-telling the Bible, and 3) Contemplating upon the passages themselves. It further examines the synthesis of religious and social topics throughout her works, again suggesting to divide them into 1) Contemporary 2) Historical, and 3) Stuctural, based on the nature of the social topics portrayed in them. The thesis also explores Sölle's depiction of God, concluding that Sölle sees God in her poems not as a governing, dominating entity, but rather as a co-creator, God weeping and compassionate with the world. Sölle sees this image of God's empathy and involvement with man as an incentive for the man to become the same, to act similarly.
Studium fotonových silových funkcí z termálního záchytu neutronů
Bauer, Karel ; Krtička, Milan (advisor) ; Cejnar, Pavel (referee)
A subject of this thesis is to gain information on absolute photon strength function below the neutron separation energy. This energy range is known as a "low-tail" energy region of E1 resonance. The absolute photon strength function is obtained by normalizing the total average intensity for several energy ranges to the average intensities from thermal neutron capture spectrum for which an absolute calibration is experimentally known. The absolute photon strength function is investigated by means of statistical method. Everything seems to be compatible with information on studied Gd isotopes. However, disclosed method can potentially lead to rejection of combination of PSF and LD models. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Body, Symbol and Freedom in Paul Ricoueur and Olivier Clément
Verdickt, Dana ; Noble, Ivana (advisor) ; Kočandrle Bauer, Kateřina (referee)
This thesis explores the view on symbol, body and freedom in Paul Ricoeur's and Olivier Clément's work. The aim is to analyse symbols and explore the benefits they can have for modern society, Western culture and how can these symbols influence people. This topic indirectly allows understanding of the role of tradition, rituals, narrations, myths and traditional wisdom in nowadays Western society. Furthermore, the thesis shows what influences the process of thinking, deciding and deepening one's faith. In particular, I am investigating whether in nowadays democratic and freedom supporting society one really has possibility of free choice. This reflection is to be completed on the basis of previous analysis of the symbol, body and freedom in the view of philosopher Paul Ricoeur and theologian Olivier Clément. The thesis is structured into three chapters. The first chapter is dedicated to the analysis of Ricoeur's view on this subject, in the following chapter I study Clément's theology, and in the third chapter I offer the comparison of these two. In the beginning of each chapter I introduce the life of the authors and influences that they encountered. This will reveal their philosophy and theology in better context. The conclusion summarizes the findings of previous chapters, and shows how they can...
Studium fotonových silových funkcí z termálního záchytu neutronů
Bauer, Karel ; Krtička, Milan (advisor) ; Cejnar, Pavel (referee)
This thesis deals with the description of $\gamma-$ray deexcitation of neutron resonances produced in thermal neutron capture below neutron separation energy. A subject of this thesis is obtaining information on absolute value of \textit{photon strength function} (PSF) achieved from primary transitions in thermal neutron capture. The aim is to map and bring new information on absolute value of photon strength function (PSF) in $^{156}$Gd and $^{158}$Gd. The method which was used in this thesis can lead to refusion of several models of PSF a level density. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Perception of Feminity and Women in the Religious Philosophy of Vladimir Solovyov and Nikolai Berdyaev
Dremlyuk, Inga ; Noble, Ivana (advisor) ; Kočandrle Bauer, Kateřina (referee)
The thesis deals with perception of feminity and women in the religious philosophy of Vladimir Solovyov and Nikolai Berdyaev. In the introductory chapter I present my motivation for choosing this topic, and the reasons why I think it is important. The first chapter deals with Vladimir Solovyov's deception of womanhood at the same time it introduces his essential philosophical themes - such as Total-unity, Godmanhood, Sophiology - and pinpoints the specifics of his relationship to Christianity. In the second chapter, I discuss Berdayev's notion of feminity and present central motives of his philosophy: freedom, personality, creativity, as well as his peculiar understanding of Christianity and Godmanhood. In the concluding chapter I summarize both authors' views on feminity and point out the inconsistency of these ideas in the broader context of their notion of God, human and human's free and responsible participation on his or her way to Godmanhood. Methods of data analyses for activation probes measuring neutron radiation in tokamaks
Bauer, Karel ; Mlynář, Jan (advisor) ; Krtička, Milan (referee)
This bachelor thesis contains brief description of physical principles of thermonuclear fusion and some technological realization. Description of neutron diagnostic and measurement is a part of the thesis. Deconvolution of neutron spectrum is a ill-possed problem. The problem is described and solved by some methods. The methods are applied to simulated data, experimental data from scintilator NE213 and activation probe.
Study of photon strength functions from thermal neutron capture
Bauer, Karel ; Krtička, Milan (advisor) ; Cejnar, Pavel (referee)
A subject of this thesis is to gain information on absolute photon strength function at gamma-ray energies around 4 - 8 MeV in two Gadolinium isotopes. This energy range is known as a ''low-energy'' tail region of E1 resonance. The absolute photon strength function is obtained from comparison of the sum of intensities of transitions and the number of transitions observed in thermal neutron capture on $^{155}$Gd and $^{157}$Gd with prediction from statistical model under various assumptions on photon strength functions and level densities. Wine Farmstead in Jaroslavice
Bauer, Karel ; Kristek, Jan (referee) ; Marek, Jiří (advisor)
The building of winery forms at the border created by recently defunct brickyard, located between break made by extraction and basement alley is creating pass into the vineyards. Its shape complements the landscape, leaving the vines to break through, create a place for relaxation and tasting their close contact. The underground part of the building is effectively used for wine making, tasting rooms on the first floor overlook the center of the action. Aside from the main building in a quieter part of the site are placed accommodation facilities for all visitors. The centrality of the working space and the availability of new vineyards makes workflow significantly easier. The new object so becomes part of the surrounding distinctive nature.
Total cost of a construction - a mathematical model
Bauer, K. ; Lachout, Petr
The paper presents a mathematical model for a total cost of a larger construction, e.g. a factory, a department store, a speed-way, etc. The total cost is divided into several subcosts according to specific features. Each particular subcost is considered to be random by nature, and, consequently, the total cost itself is random in our model. We aim to give a tool convenient for decision making.
