The Diploma Thesis deals with the application of biochemistry tasks extended by a material and multimedia model in chemistry teaching at high school and university. The main objective was to find out whether the proposed tasks meet the criteria for inclusion in the teaching of biochemistry within laboratory exercises in high school seminars and university laboratory exercises. Qualitative research using the method of semi-structured interview, intrinsic motivation inventory and activity perception questionnaire were used for the analysis. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part contains information about enzymes, their active center and today's views of their function. Furthermore, the emergence of a "guest-host" interaction between acid-base indicators and macrocyclic compounds - cyclodextrins, which serve as models for the demonstration of the interaction between the substrate and the active site of the enzyme, is described. The last chapter of the theoretical part is devoted to the methodology of research of tasks at high school and university. The practical part describes the tasks including experimentally obtained data for their realization and all the tools necessary for their implementation. Furthermore, the creation and use of material and...

This bachelor thesis deals with the topic of chemical equations as one of the basic chemical concepts. The theoretical part is devoted to the teaching of chemistry from the point of view of curriculum documents, the specifics of this school subject are presented, and the chemical triplet of representations is introduced. Subsequently, the thesis takes a closer look at the topic of chemical equations and their balancing. The eye-tracking method is also briefly introduced. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to map freshman chemistry teacher students' understanding of the particulate nature of matter, with an emphasis on chemical equations as a transcript of chemical reactions. The research combines both quantitative and qualitative methods. Twenty-four students participated in the initial written testing. Based on their performance on the test, students were divided into three categories. For the next phase of the research, the sample was narrowed down to 11 respondents. The eye-tracking method combined with think-aloud and interviews was used to obtain more detailed information. While the written pretest mainly tested knowledge of basic chemical concepts, the eye-tracking pretest focused more specifically on chemical equations and their presentation using different chemical representations. Success...

Pospíšilová, Kristýna ; Bílek, Martin (advisor) ; Kuhnová, Marta (referee)
This diploma thesis deals with the use of elements of augmented reality in the teaching of chemistry at lower secondary school. We chose to use augmented reality in teaching because of the constant development of digital technologies and the effort to involve them more in education. In the theoretical part, we deal with the phenomenon of augmented reality and its use in education. We present several augmented reality applications that can be used in the teaching of chemistry, of which we focus more closely on the VividBooks applications, with which we work in the practical part. Furthermore, the theoretical part presents the topics of chemistry teaching in the framework educational programmes for lower secondary education (RVP ZV) and in the school educational programme (ŠVP) of the Velvary Elementary School, in which the AR VividBooks application was used and examined. We also describe the principles of the case study, which we used as a research method in the practical part. In the practical part, we started implementing a case study with introductory interviews with pupils and teaching assistants of the eighth grade of Velvary Elementary school. This was followed by six lessons using AR VividBooks applications in all three classes, during which we described the activity and reactions of the...
