Visual detection of small objects using available tools in MATLAB
Sladký, Jiří ; Dobossy, Barnabás (referee) ; Appel, Martin (advisor)
This thesis investigates possibilities of small object detection in pictures using YOLO method, a deep learning algorithm available in MATLAB. In the thesis, a detector was designed and trained to detect cows from top-down view. A tool was created, that performs detection using the proposed model even on high resolution images and counts the present objects. A generator of synthetic images was programmed, which helped with training the model. Various experiments were performed that found the limits of YOLO and validated contribution of the proposed improvements.
Application of optimization methods for parameters estimation of simulation models
Appel, Martin ; Vlach, Radek (referee) ; Grepl, Robert (advisor)
This thesis deals with parameters estimation search problematics. Newly-made software is proposed within a frame of this work and it replaces and supplements the Parameter Estimation tool, which is a part of Matlab toolbox. New software proposes suitable visualisation and new functions, which may lead to better solutions than build-in tools in Matlab.
Educational model of a balancing platform
Lička, Tomáš ; Formánek, Martin (referee) ; Appel, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the proposal of educational model of a balancing platform with 3 DOF. Camera placed in lower part of construction scan position of the ball which is used for calculation of steps of stepper motors. Various methods of solution with its advantages and disadvantages have been described in research part of this bachelor thesis. The solution that came up from this thesis is described in the next part. Mechanical construction, electric part and main parts of program have been shown.
Klasifikace dat v obraze pomocí nástrojů pro strojové učení v jazyce Python
Voronin, Artyom ; Appel, Martin (referee) ; Bastl, Michal (advisor)
This thesis introduces the issue of data classification in the image using tools for machine learning in Python. The aim is to verify the possibilities of overtraining existing models on their own data and evaluating the efficiency and complexity of the entire process. Subsequently, the processing of the achieved results in the form of a demonstration task, image capturing by a web camera and classification of the object in the field of view.
Comparison of MATLAB and Python with Respect to Mechatronics
Rabčan, Jakub ; Appel, Martin (referee) ; Sova, Václav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the comparison of instruments Matlab and Python. The aim of this bachelor thesis is comparison of these tools in the diferent areas with regard to utilization in mechatronics. And demonstration task will then be created for these areas.
ROS framework utilization for autonomous mobile robot control system
Image processing and depth maps to create an interactive model
Gelo, Lukáš ; Adámek, Roman (referee) ; Appel, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with creation of communication protocol for Intel® RealSense™ cameras in MATLAB, creation of program which finds certain objects in image using depth map and implementation of this program into mechatronic exponate. Theoretical part deals with methods of depth and distance scanning. It clarifies principles of contactless and nondestructive measurement of depth and distance along with comparison of their advantages and disadvantages.
Functional HIL testing of an electronic control unit
Štramberský, Jan ; Appel, Martin (referee) ; Brablc, Martin (advisor)
This thesis deals with the functional HIL testing of a universal electronic control unit. The control unit is graphically programmed in an application in which it is possible to create state machines with pre-programmed functions. Within the scope of this work, a HIL test of the unit has been created. Signals are exchanged between the unit and PC using an input/output card. The PC runs the HIL test script in Matlab. This test verifies the firmware of the unit by checking the expected behaviour of the functions and the conditions of the transitions.
Implementation of monitoring system of house plants in IoT environment
Mach, Sebastián ; Appel, Martin (referee) ; Věchet, Stanislav (advisor)
This master's thesis is about the design and development of a flower pot sensor, which monitors data related to the cultivation of houseplants. The sensor sends the data to the cloud, where the analysis is performed and the evaluated living conditions of the monitored plant are displayed to the user.
Modeling of thin-walled frames mechatronic systems with fillet welds and their influence on the natural frequency
Appel, Martin ; Hadaš, Zdeněk (referee) ; Vosynek, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on methods of reduction degrees of freedom and their application in mechatronical system. Next part is focused on fillet welds and their modelling in Ansys Workbench software. Individual possibilities of geometry of welds are analysed by modal, static and harmonic analysis. Aim of this thesis is comparison of results of analysis for different methods of geometry of welds. Then it compare results of modal analysis in Ansys Workbench and Adams software. Finally the work deals with possibilities of exporting from Ansys Workbench to Adams, Matlab and Excel software.
