Bulk-driven current mirrors
Kováčik, Martin ; Prokop, Roman (referee) ; Khateb, Fabian (advisor)
My bachelor’s thesis is about bulk-driven CMOS principle for several analog circuit projects. A substrate gate is used for signal input to achieve low supply voltage and low wattage while keeping parameters adequate to current structures. The goal of my work was to design current mirror with low supply voltage and low wattage with usage of this principle. In my work there are basic data about bulk-driven technology and MOFSET transistors used in this technology. My project contains different kinds of schemes of bulk-driven current mirrors which are compared with conventional gate-driven current mirror. These circuits are simulated in Orcard Pspise program.

The bachelor's thesis deals with the new construction of an apartment building on the outskirts of the village Dohňany. The aim of the work was to develop project documentation for the construction. The building is designed on plot no. 842/2, which is slightly sloping. The apartment building has four above-ground and one underground floor. Perimeter load-bearing structures are designed from the Ytong system in the above-ground floors. In the basement, the perimeter load-bearing walls are solved by a combination of a reinforced concrete wall and a Ytong block. The ceiling structures in the building are designed as semi-assembled from the Ytong system. The building is covered with a single-skin flat vegetation roof with a slope of 3%. There are 9 residential units and one studio designed in the building. Housing units come in a variety of sizes and layouts. In addition, the building in the basement has a utility room, cellar, carriage house, cleaning room and four underground garages for cars.
Analysis of ponies bred for sports performance based on results in international dressage competitions
Havlíčková, Kristina
This thesis aimed to evaluate the performance of sports ponies at the international dressage level based on the following factors: sports season, age, sex and breed. The basis of the database was the dressage pony ranking of the International Equestrian Federation from 2014 to 2020. Two analyses were performed, one for the whole population and the second for the top 10% of ponies of each season. Statistically significant impact was found in the sports season (p ≤ 0.05) and high statistical significance in age and breed (p ≤ 0.01). Sex was the only factor with no statistical significance (p > 0.05). Ponies achieved the best average results in the year 2019 (983.72 points). On average, the best age categories were 9-12 (968.91 points) and 13-16 (968.90 points). Stallions were the best-performing sex (975.28 points). Ponies of Dutch Riding Horse and Pony Studbook (1 040.70 points) and Danish Sports Pony (1 039.50 points) achieved the best point results. Only the sports season and breed in the top 10% of ponies showed statistical significance (p ≤ 0.05). Ponies earned the highest number of points on average in the year 2020 (1 873.80 points). The best performance was given by ponies aged 17 and higher (1 899.00 points), although this category contained only two specimens. Stallions earned the highest number of performance points (1 842.70 points), and the best breed was the German Riding Pony (1 828.20 points).
Lithology, geochemistry and metamorphic evolution of northern Hammar Domain (East-African Orogeny)
Gashe, Negessa Gonfa ; Verner, Kryštof (advisor) ; Racek, Martin (referee)
in English The studied part of the Hammar Domain is composed of the Neoproterozoic basement rocks belonging to the Southern Ethiopian Shield (SES), partly covered by volcanic and volcanosedimentary deposits of the Main Ethiopian Rift (MER). The high-grade migmatite to migmatized biotite paragneiss and amphibolites were intruded by numerous peraluminous granite and granodiorite bodies and gabbros of metaluminous composition. The results of U/Pb zircon dating of granodiorite yielded at 507.7 ± 3.2 Ma, which is interpreted as the age of magma emplacement and crystallization. The P-T estimation reveal the peak P-T conditions at ca. 1.21 to 0.88 GPa and ca. 842 to 700 řC which were followed by retrograde part P-T path (from ca. 0.84 to 0.12 GPa) with decrease of temperature from ca. 700 to 464 řC. The emplacement of gabbro in syn-tectonic settings took place at P = ca. 0.87 to 0.93 GPa and T ca. 650 řC reflecting magma emplacement to ca. 30 km in depth. Next, the syn- to post- tectonic emplacement and crystallization of biotite and amphibole-bioitite granodiorite reveal P = 0.27-0.52 GPa and T ca. 720-836. The events described above were associated with the latter period of the East-African Orogeny, which resulted in overall consolidation of the Gondwana continent.
Analysis of humour in the TV series Friends
LITEROVÁ, Anežka
The thesis deals with the problematic of humour and its relation to linguistics. It describes the main theories of humour and its classification. It further focuses on the pragmatics, specifically Grice's cooperative principle, and how humour is produced by its violation. It then describes the phenomenon of Wordplay. This knowledge is applied to create a taxonomy of humour which is then used to analyse the humorous situations in chosen episodes of the sitcom Friends. These humorous situations then also undergo a quantitative analysis.

Vliv nové klasifikace pronájmů podle IFRS 16 na finanční situaci a výkonnost podniku
Májková, Barbora
The aim of this diploma thesis is based on the analysis of the changes in the reporting of leasing, which is caused by changes in International financial reporting standards identify and quantify the effects of these changes on the financial position and productivity of selected companies. The thesis also identifies significant changes and reasons which led to the introduction of IFRS 16, farther compare of IFRS 16 with IAS 17 and US GAAP 842. In the application section, based on the analysis of the impacts on the financial statements caused by accounting leases according to the new rules and comparing them with the financial statements which was prepared under the old rules, identify significant changes in the financial analysis on selected companies and classify the potential impact on the financial position and productivity of businesses. On the basis of the results of the diploma thesis, two research questions are answered. These research questions determine whether changes in the reporting of operating leases will lead to the presentation of the financial situation and the productivity of the business, which will be more realistic and result in greater comparability of the reports.
Effort sharing as a legal measure of climate protection
Srb, Jáchym ; Pokorný, Jiří (advisor) ; Sobotka, Michal (referee)
Master thesis "Effort sharing as a legal measure of climate protection" strives to give a comprehensive account of the key characteristics of the effort sharing system, which is one of the two principal EU mitigation tools of the EU. In order to provide a better insight, the thesis first discusses the topic in context of economic theory and international law on climate. The thesis itself is divided into four chapters. First chapter defines the object of climate regulation i.e. greenhouse gases their production and the legal framework of their measuring and accounting.Second chapter focuses on the economic background of climate regulation and it compares different theoretical approaches with existing regulation in force on international and European level. Third chapter gives basic account of the international framework of climate law and specifically on the international mitigation obligations of the EU, which are relevant for the EU law. Fourth and final chapter describes the main aspects of the effort sharing system in contrast to the EU ETS. It draws mainly from the Decision no. 406/2009/ES, which is currently in force and the Regulation no. 2018/842, which will shape the effort sharing system for the 2021 - 2030 period. In four sub- chapters it focuses on the definition of regulated emission...

Leontovyč, Ivan ; Saudek, František (advisor) ; Štechová, Kateřina (referee) ; Holáň, Vladimír (referee)
Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a severe and frequent disease with increasing prevalence. It is not possible to achieve long term cure without late complications. Recent advances in cell fate modifications open a pathway to alternative cell therapies for DM cure. My doctoral thesis "Differentiation of pancreatic stem cells into insulin producing β- cells" is focused on the development of a new source of insulin secreting cells for transplantation. Combinatorial testing of numerous potential transcription factors and epigenetic modifiers resulted in a final protocol for the reprogramming pancreatic of exocrine cells into insulin secreting cells. The key transcriptional factors TF (Pdx1, Ngn3 a MafA) were applied in the form of synthetic mRNA. In four independent experiments we applied transcriptional factors in a specific sequence, thus obtaining 14.3 ± 1.9 % insulin positive cells. When challenged in vitro by the glucose levels of 2.5 and 20 mmol/l glucose, respectively, these cells exhibited glucose-sensitivity of insulin secretion (842 ± 72 and 1 157 ± 58 pg insulin/µg DNA/ml, n=5). They also demonstrated a sensitivity of insulin secretion (863 ± 78 and 1 025 ± 66 pg insulin/µg DNA/ml, n=5) to the concentration of depolarization agent KCl applied at 0 and 30 mmol/l, respectively together with 2.5...
Voltammetric Determination of Sudan I on Silver Solid Amalgam Electrode
Kadeřábková, Marta ; Fischer, Jan (advisor) ; Schwarzová, Karolina (referee)
The subject of this thesis was the development of method for determination of azo dye Sudan I (1-phenylazo-2-naphtol, CAS# 842-07-9) which is used in industry but it is undesirable in food products. The technique of differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) was used on a silver solid amalgam electrode modified by mercury meniscus (m-AgSAE) in 50 % methanol and Britton-Robinson (BR) buffer pH from 2 to 12 supporting electrolyte. Optimal conditions for Sudan I determination were in 50 % methanol and BR buffer pH 4,0, in which it was possible, without the need to regenerate the working electrode surface, to perform repeated measurements. Linear calibration of the substance was obtained in the range 1∙10-6 -1∙10-5 mol∙l-1 and 1∙10-5 -1∙10-4 mol∙l-1 . Limit of quantification was 6,2∙10-7 mol∙l-1 . Subsequently, usability of developed method was tested on samples containing Sudan I and food colorant Sunset Yellow (in the range from 1∙10-6 to 1∙10-5 mol∙l-1 ), but the method for these two analytes was not selective enough.
