Individual Planning Process in Socially Activation Services for Families with Children in ORP Milevsko as a Functional Tool for Changing the Family Situation
MOULÍKOVÁ, Dita
The master's thesis is focused on the individual planning in social services specifically in the social activation service for families with children in the ORP Milevsko. The aim of this master's thesis is to investigate how individual planning contributes to changing the situation of families in the ORP Milevsko. Two research questions were set for this thesis: "How do clients of the social activation service evaluate collaboration with a social worker using an individual plan?" and "How do social workers evaluate the change in the family situation after evaluating the individual plan?" The thesis is structured into theoretical and practical part, where the theoretical part describes the process of individual planning, explains concepts such as individual plan, key worker, the general level of social activation service for families with children, and then specifically introduces the social activation service for families with children in the ORP Milevsko as the selected area. The practical part was processed using the method of questioning with semi-structured interviews. Interviews with social workers were conducted in total of two, and with 12 service clients. Both research samples were selected by purposive sampling method. The results of the practical part were evaluated through open coding. The results from the conducted interviews indicate that individual planning is beneficial for families in the given locality in the context of providing social services and support. The results of the master's thesis can serve as educational material for students and institutions focused on individual planning. They can also offer a comprehensive view of the functioning of the process in a smaller community and the specific needs of families in the given locality.

Development of Light Emitting Electroluminescent Device by Means of Material Printing
Pro popis stability byly zavedeny parametry L50 and L75.

Heat Diffusion Simulation on GPU
Hradecký, Michal ; Vašíček, Zdeněk (referee) ; Jaroš, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis deals with the simulation of heat diffusion in human tissues. The proposed algorithm uses a finite-difference time-domain method, which is applied on the governing equation describing the system. A modern graphics card is used to accelerate the simulation. The performance achieved on the GPU card is compared with the implementation exploiting a modern multicore CPU. The output of this thesis is a set of differently optimized algorithms targeted on NVIDIA graphics cards. The experimental results reveal that the use of shared memory is contraproductive and the best performance is achieved by a register based implementation. The overall speedup of 18.5 was reached when comparing a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580 with a quad-core Intel Core i7 920 CPU. This nicely corresponds with the theoretical capabilities of  both architectures.
Microbial production of extracellular polymers and their involvement in stress response
Müllerová, Lucie ; Sedláček, Petr (referee) ; Obruča, Stanislav (advisor)
Bachelor’s thesis is focused on the production of extracellular polysaccharide pullulan by microorganism Aureobasidium pullulans, purification of pullulan and its possible use as a cryoprotectant. As a part of this work a description of A. pullulans, pullulan and an overview of involvement in its stress response were provided. In the experimental part growth characteristics of A. pullulans (the strain CCM 8182 was used) and pullulan production during growth in optimal conditions was analyzed. Biomass production was the highest with fructose as a carbon source (3,580 g/l CCM 8182), the highest pullulan production occurred when using sucrose as a carbon source (10,300 g/l F 148). Among three organic solvents used for pullulan precipitation – ethanol, acetone, isopropylalcohol, ethanol was selected as the best for further experiments in ratio 1:2 (fermentation broth:ethanol). Pullulan purity was characterized by HPLC. As a further part of this work, cryoprotectant properties of pullulan at temperatures – 72° C, -18° C, 4° C and 60°C were studied. The presence of pullulan at temperatures – 72° C and 60° C was found to be detrimental to cell viability. At temperatures – 18° C and 4° C the cryoptotectant activity of the polysaccharide was confirmed.
Diagnostics of plasma generated in mixtures of water and alcohols
Adámková, Barbora ; Slavíček, Pavel (referee) ; Kozáková, Zdenka (advisor)
This diploma thesis is aimed to the corona-like discharge in solutions of alcohols, specifically in ethanol, methanol, glycerol, butanol and isopropyl alcohol. The electric discharge was diagnosed by two methods. The first method was the measuring of electrical characteristics. Current-voltage characteristics were constructed from the measured average values of voltage and current. The breakdown voltages were determined from the current-voltage characteristics. The breakdown voltages of the individual alcohol solutions were dependent on the alcohol concentration, polarity of the electrodes in the reactor and solution conductivity. The breakdown voltage was determined for solutions of butanol, glycerol and isopropyl alcohol with a concentration of 20 vol. % and conductivity of 200 µS. The highest value of the breakdown voltage was determined for solution of glycerol at 580 V. The lowest voltage at which the discharge was observed was estimated for butanol (320 V), but due to the limited miscibility with water this value is inaccurate, and therefore in the second part of experiment butanol was not used. Alcohol series was supplemented with methanol. The second diagnostic method was the proton ionization mass spectrometry with the time of flight analyzer. The products formed in the reactor due to the plasma discharge were identified from the mass spectrum. Mostly, aliphatic hydrocarbons and their radicals were detected. The amount of products was observed in the dependence on the changing experimental conditions: alcohol concentration in the solution, the polarity of the electrodes in the reactor and the duration of the discharge. Only a small amount of compounds were detected in methanol. However, more molecules were formed with the increasing carbon chain in the alcohol molecule. More compounds were also detected with the increasing alcohol concentration and in case of the negative polarity of the main electrode. The formation of acetaldehyde as a typical discharge product was studied in details. Its production in time was observed and the reaction pathways of its formation in the ethanol solution were suggested.
