A special educator and a psychologist in every school? Institutionalisation of support teaching positions in primary schools
Panák, Petr ; Mouralová, Magdalena (advisor) ; Černý, Jakub (referee)
The thesis focuses on the policy of institutionalisation of support teaching positions, which extends school special educators and school psychologists to primary schools and tries to ensure the stability of professions of the support teaching positions. The thesis focuses on the piloting of institutionalisation in small primary schools with 20-179 pupils, where schools are provided with support teaching positions by pedagogical-psychological counselling centres. The aim is to describe the functioning of the institutionalisation model and to understand how it is perceived by school special educators, school psychologists and heads of pedagogical- psychological counselling centres. The thesis is framed by two theoretical concepts: the street- level bureaucracy and the theory of accountability. The thesis uses various data sources, from questionnaires to interviews, public policy documents, and administrative data. Based on these data, the thesis concluded that it has not yet been possible to ensure a sufficient expansion of support teaching positions into schools, mainly due to the lack of qualified staff nor the professional stability of support teaching positions, as these do not have the certainty of continuation of institutionalisation in 2025. At the same time, the role of pedagogical- psychological...

The research sample consisted of 15 students physically and mentally demanding selection process led to the gradual dropout of participants, with only two completing the entire measurement. The initial measurement was taken on Friday at 14:00, and further measurements were taken at least twice a day, with intervals not exceeding 10 hours between measurements, totaling 7 measurements. Flexi Guard measuring systems, which allow long-term telemetric monitoring of health- physiological parameters in real time, were used for the measurement. Before the start of the selection process, participants completed a resilience questionnaire to assess their mental resilience. During the measurements, responses to the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), the Epworth Sleepiness Scale (ESS), the Perceived...
Sarcopenia screening at hospitalized patients on standard hospital ward
VÁCLAVÍKOVÁ, Monika
This thesis aims to map nurses' knowledge of sarcopenia and describe the current utilization of screening tools for its identification in practice. Two research questions were formulated: "What knowledge do nurses possess regarding sarcopenia?" and "What screening methods do nurses employ?" Furthermore, two hypotheses were formulated: H1: Nurses' knowledge in the field of sarcopenia varies depending on the department they work in. H2: Nurses' knowledge in the field of sarcopenia varies depending on the length of their practice. Additional hypotheses were formulated during the data analysis, allowing for a better understanding of the research issue. The empirical part of the thesis combined a mixed research strategy using semi- structured interviews and non-standardized questionnaires. Five nurses and one physician participated in the qualitative survey, while 179 nurses from various departments were involved in the quantitative research. The results showed insufficient knowledge of nurses about sarcopenia, which was confirmed in both qualitative and quantitative surveys. Minimal utilization of sarcopenia assessment tools in practice was also identified. Statistical analysis confirmed relationships between nurses' knowledge and their attitudes toward assessment tools, as well as between length of practice and preference for clinical observation over assessment tools. Age of respondents was found to correlate with reactions to assessment tool results. Representation of assessment tools used was consistent across all departments. The research survey results revealed weaknesses in nurses' knowledge and insufficient utilization of sarcopenia screening methods in practice. Based on the research findings, it is evident that improving nurses' knowledge in the field of sarcopenia, especially in departments with a high prevalence of patients suffering from this condition, is necessary. It is also important to train healthcare professionals and ensure that screening methods are actively implemented in practice.
Socrates
MASOPUST, Matyáš
The thesis deals with the ancient philosopher Socrates. Mostly the one portrayed by Plato in his works. The work is divided into three disproportionately long parts. The first part deals with the place and time in which Socrates lived. It also mentions the politics and religion of the time. The second part examines the way in which Socrates conversed with the people there. It looks at his methodology and the influence he had on the other inhabitants of his home Athens. The third part focuses directly on his ideas concerning the virtues, their meaning, function and form.

Stabilizing epoxide systems in surface protective varnishes
Švardala, Daniel ; Tocháček, Jiří (referee) ; Petruš, Josef (advisor)
The diploma thesis describes the influence of humid conditions on the curing of epoxy resins by multifunctional amines. The aim of the experimental part was the identification of degradation products and their quantification, as well as the determination of the influence of humid conditions on the degree of hardening, modulus of elasticity, and flexural strength. Another goal was to optimize the formulation of the reactive mixture for the preparation of epoxy resin with lower susceptibility to carbamate bloom. The degradation products were evaluated by determining the mechanical properties by bending test according to the standard ČSN EN 179-1. The degree of hardening was monitored through temperature modulated differential scanning calorimetry (TMDSC). Degradation products were identified by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and quantified by UV-VIS spectroscopy. The morphology of the surface layer was monitored by confocal laser scanning microscopy (CLSM). The dependence of the relative humidity of the environment on the curing process of the epoxy resin and its resulting mechanical properties was determined. Based on the analyzes, a modification of the formulation for the suppression of spurious carbamate during the curing of the epoxy matrix was designed and experimentally verified.
