Czech prince and Saxon duke in 12th century. Comparison of the Czech principate and Saxon duchy of Henry the Lion
Zelenka, Jan ; Žemlička, Josef (advisor) ; Bláhová, Marie (referee)
If we resume the results of our comparison, we can see that the basic difference between the duchy of Saxony, territorial domain of Henry the Lion and Bohemian principality is represented by inner political structure of these domains. In consequent this inner political structure were also the chances ofthe emperor encroach diverged. The Saxonian duchy was a conglomerate of major number of aristocratic domains. The holders of these domains (bishops, earls ..... etc.) did not subordinate to fiats of the duke, they did not grant his authority. His power and support from emperor Frederick I. Barbarossa gave him a factual dominance over the other princes of Saxony however it did not let him to beared rule over them. His effort to enlarge his own principality threatened other princes's political positions and that is why they were in constant opposition
Banschewského funkce na komplementárních modulárních svazech

Title: Banaschewski function on countable complemented modular lattices Author: Samuel Mokriš Department: Department of Algebra Supervisor of the bachelor thesis: Mgr. Pavel Růžička, Ph.D., Department of Algebra Abstract: A Banaschewski function on a bounded lattice L is an antitone self-map on L that picks a complement for each element of L. On any at most countable complemented modular lattice L, there exists a Banaschewski function with a Boolean range M. Moreover, such M is a maximal Boolean sublattice of L and is uniquely determined up to isomorphism. In the thesis we give a negative answer to the related question whether all maximal Boolean sublattices in an arbitrary countable complemented modular lattice are isomorphic and whether every max- imal Boolean sublattice in an arbitrary countable complemented modular lattice L is the range of some Banaschewski function on L. We also generalize the coun- terexample to greater cardinalities; for a given infinite cardinal κ we construct a complemented modular lattice L of cardinality κ and maximal Boolean sublat- tices B and E of L such that B is not the range of any Banaschewski function on L, that there exists a Banaschewski function on L of range E, and that B is not isomorphic to E. Women in the countryside in the time of the reign of the House of Přemysl
Faltusová, Zuzana ; Bláhová, Marie (advisor) ; Žemlička, Josef (referee)
Medieval Woman has been a very popular topic In the European historicalliterature within last fifty years. I have chosen a theme of a W oman in countryside in early medieval Bohemia. Despite the low number of historical sources, I have selected a few topics, which are not only describable, but also very interesting. My essay is based on the Bohemian medieval sources like records and chronic1es, but also on the results of archeological excavations or medieval paintings. And further, I used not only the literature of the Czech historians, but also the German and English books about that period and questions. I did not seek to write about single women and the single history of their life, but I tried to describe the world of them - the society, countryside, time and the other aspects. The first big theme was the woman and her family and also the path of her life. The second topic is about the world around her. The village, where she lived, the house of her family, things she used day by day and so on. Another part speaks about the labor of women - their typical work like spinning, weaving or cooking and taking care of the house animals. The two chapters which are most based on the sources research are about the names of medieval countryside women and about the mysterious women ofthe records.
Recognition of 3D objects with uniform surface reflectance
Žemlička, Jakub ; Urban, Martin (advisor) ; Svoboda, Tomáš (referee)
A new approach based on the edge examination has been developed for the detection of polygonal structures as an alternative to MSERs and Harris points. The recognition of objects with a uniform surface was the initial motivation. The detected polygonal structures can be used as supplementary features for the nonuniform object recognition as well. Finally, the method has been tested on the real application of the viewpoint invariant car license plate detection. The main contribution of our approach is the ability to detect polygons regardless to their size, number of vertices and orientation. The polynomial time complexity for low polygon degrees allows our method the real-time performance. Moreover, the searching algorithm can be modified to find more types of polygons at a time very easily.
Želiv, Monastery in the Foothills of Vysočina. Its Property and History of Settlement until Mid 14th Century
Bolerazká, Zuzana ; Žemlička, Josef (advisor) ; Doležalová, Eva (referee)
Želiv, formerly the convent of Benedictines, was transformed into a Premonstratensians monastery (around 1149). Its beginnings were complicated. It took a long time to stabilize its existence and consolidate its property. The monastery has been located in deep forests of the western foothills of Bohemian-Moravian Highlands. The location at the border of Bohemia and Moravia was ideal for colonization. Well preserved historical sources on this topic enable us to research the main phases of its economic development and describe it in the context of the period. The role of Želiv clergy in the uncovering of mining localities in Jihlava and Humpolec areas is also interesting but not well researched. The monastery in Želiv as such was rebuilt several times which would be impossible without a strong property base and a good management. The objective of this thesis is to describe and evaluate the management of the Želiv monastery as well. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
