The school chronicles in Dolní Povltaví

This Bachelors thesis examines school chronicles in the region of Dolní Povltaví, from the 2nd half of the 19th century to the 1st half of the 20th century time periods. In particular, results from the chronicles of schools in Odolena Voda, Klecany and Husinec - Řež. This thesis is divided into two sections, the first section focuses on the history of education from Marie Terezie's school reforms in the 1st half of the 20th century along with school administration in the same time period. Then I define school chronicles as a source, firstly, describing the history of writing chronicles and continuing with a view more focused upon school chronicles. Finally I describe the region of Dolní Povltaví and the history of schools of which chronicles I worked with. In terms of the materials used, I compared data contained in chronicles, of which related to the school itself, the teachers and the pupils. The nostrification of industrial companies in the Bohemian lands 1918-1929

Slovo nostrifikace pochází z latiny. Noster znamená náš a facere je latinský výraz pro sloveso činit, dělat, uskutečňovat. Přeložíme-li tento pojem, dostaneme sousloví s významem "činit naším", "uznat za naše" nebo "přivlastnit si" . S termínem nostrifikace se setkáváme většinou v souvislosti s uznáváním zahraničních studií, vysvědčení a diplomů. Při studiu Rumunska, Polska a hospodářského vývoje Jugoslávie po první Československa, světové válce nacházíme další význam výrazu nostrifikace, který shrnuj e Slovník veřejného práva československého následovně: "Nazýváme tak svéráznou hospodářskou a právní akci, prováděnou v důsledku poli tického odloučení Československé republiky od bývalého Rakousko-Uherska, jejímž účelem bylo převésti do tuzemska sídla a hospodářská vedení společností akciových a s ručením omezeným pokud měly provozovny cele nebo částečně v nynější Československé republice, svá sídla však (a hospodářská vedení) v území bývalé monarchie, jež se dnem 28. X. 1918 stalo pro nás cizinou. ,,

Personnel "Purge" at Central Authorities in Czechoslovak Republic after 1945

This diploma thesis attends to personnel "purge" in the field of public administration in Czechoslovakia after World War II in a broader context. "The purge" of civil servants is presented in the context of the overall development of the Czechoslovak Republic in the period 1945 -1948 and with the general requests of the postwar "purge". The attention is paid to the status of civil servants, particularly in the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia and in the postwar period. The next part of this thesis is focused on the activity of the purgatory commissions, which operated on the basis of the Decree of the President. In the selected ministries is performed the analysis and the comparison of the model cases of "purge" of the civil servants.

The National Assembly in 1945-1948

The thesis deals with the circumstances under which the National Assembly in Czechoslovakia was renewed and under which it functioned till 1948. It points to the general development in the years 1945-1948, the constitutional situation in Czechoslovakia, the professional composition of the National Assembly and the legal status of its members. The study also shows how the expectations towards the Parliament changed after the 2nd World War. The thesis explains what a role the parliament played under the circumstances of a so called People's Democracy. After the liberation of Czechoslovakia a special political regime was established. Its merits lied in the institution ofNational Assembly. This assembly comprised of all political parties that had been permitted to function in Czechoslovakia. There was a special feature of this regime - there were no opposition and no coalition in a common political sense. All permitted politi cal parties composed the government. In the light ofthat it makes no sense to talk about a parliamentary majority and minority. The thesis investigates the extent to which these extraordinary circumstances marked the parliamentary activities. The General education system in former Karlín distrikt in the end of 19th century and in the first half of 20th century (its structure and documents)

This diploma thesis examines school documents in the former Karlín district, from the second half of the 19th century to the year 1927 for example: general schools in Brandýs nad Labem, Stará Boleslav, Klecany, Odolena Voda, Panenské Břežany and Veliká Ves. This thesis is divided in two parts, the first part focuses on the history of education from Marie Terezie's school reforms to the first Czechoslovak Republic along with school administration in the same period, mainly it focuses on the lower grades of school education systems. Then I describe the former Karlín district, especially individual towns and villages, whose documents I describe later and I write about short history of their schools. In the main part of this thesis I compare selected school documents - namely class statements, class registers, class statements of school leavers, main registers, conferences protocols and school chronicles of individual schools and I examinate their development. Bachelor thesis On the Border."Borderland novel" of František Sokol-Tůma in the context of the Czech history of the first 20th century decades copes with theme development of Czech society of the first decades of the 20th century. In the context of development of Czech- German and Czech-Polish relations in the region and other context of revolutionary changes in a structure of society during the industrialization in the second half of the 19th century. Bachelor thesis follows the situation from the point of view of one of players - Czech national writer František Sokol-Tůma. It concentrates on his identity, motivations, methods of his work and effect to contemporary society.

Establishment of the Ukrainian National Council in Presov, the role and representation of the interests of the Carpathian Ruthenians Abstract The establishment of the Ukrainian National Council in Presov has its historical and legal significance in the history of national minorities in Czechoslovakia. In the conditions of the liberated parts of Czechoslovakia, on 1 March 1945 in Presov is constituted a national- political body, which is to represent the interests of the Ruthenian-Ukrainian ethnic group, mostly in the north-eastern parts of Slovakia. The presented rigorous work examines the available factual data on the circumstances of the constitution, operation and subsequent activities of this national-political representative of the Ruthenian-Ukrainian minority in Czechoslovakia up to its definitive extinction. In the context of historical development, part of the work focuses on the historical context, which records the ethnogenesis of the Ruthenian- Ukrainian minority, the integration of the ethnic group into the state bodies, as well as the war conditions, which resulted in the loss of Czechoslovakia and the annexation of the Sub- Carpathian Russia to Soviet Ukraine. German Language in East Bohemia in the First Half of the 17th Century on the Basis of the Diachronic Analysis of the Town Law Book of Rokytnice in the Eagle Mountains (1572-1666)

This diploma thesis deals with the diachronic analysis of the Town Law Book of Rokytnice situated in the Eagle Mountains. The work is divided into two parts. The first part is focused on the general introduction to the history of the city, the history of the municipal administration and urban books and the problem of the office language. The second part describes the analysed source, followed by its editorial and lexical analysis. Editorial analysis is focused on the records of purchase and payment in order to determine whether the types of text were written in a standard format. Lexical analysis is aimed at the legal terms. It was found that the unified pattern of the purchase record existed only within an individual scribe, not for the entire Town Law Book. Pattern of payment records varies even within the same scribe. From the editorial point of view it was found out that the legal terms in the law book were mainly described within the municipal administration and business terminology. in English Selected issues of legal and social status of executioners in the Bohemian lands from the 16th to the middle of the 19th century from a legal historical perspective The aim of this thesis is to comprehensively elaborate the legal and social situation of executioners and knackers in the Bohemian lands from the 16th to the middle of the 19th century. In particular, the specific rules and restrictions that applied to executioners, based on the legal regulations and decisions of the public authorities, as well as on the general social situation and the attitude of individual persons. The thesis also describes some myths and prejudices concerning executioners and compares them with reality. An important aspect is the concept of honour and its influence on everyday life, as well as the impact of its reduction. Also important are the exceptions to the various rules and the reasons or possible reasons for those exceptions. The thesis achieves these goals mainly by the method of deduction and induction using historical sources and legal regulations. It also compares the legal regulations with public authorities decisions and real situations. This reveals which norms were followed and which were rather overcome by the social aspects of dishonour. The Progress of Play-acting in Příbram. From Amateur Endeavours to Professional Scene.

The diploma work deals with the transformation process of amateur theatre into the regular professional company in Příbram. The main interest is given to the period beginning with the foundation of official amateur societies after 1867. The first part of the work deals with amateur societies acting in the area of Příbram. A sort of transition from amateur to pro-fessional theatre is described in the chapter about the Society for Building the Town Theatre at Příbram. The second part of the work covers the beginning and later destiny of the profes-sional scene in Příbram. For a better idea on the situation of Příbram theatre groups a general development of both the amateur and the professional theatre is drawn up for comparison. Appendix to the work helps the reader to gain a better image of the atmosphere and circum- stances of the development of play-acting in Příbram from the second half of the 19th century till today.
