Ukrainian migration to the Czech Republic: challenges and successes of integration in times of war

The thesis deals with the migration of Ukrainians to the Czech Republic and analyses the problems and successes in the process of their integration into Czech society during the period of the Russian Federation's war against Ukraine. The aim of the thesis is to provide a detailed overview of the migration of Ukrainians to the Czech Republic and to describe the challenges faced by the migrants. The thesis examines various aspects of integration and inclusion, including social, cultural, legal and economic. The main focus is on issues such as adaptation to the new environment, employment, education, support for migrants and socialization in the Czech Republic. Emphasis is also placed on the positive aspects of migration and integration as well as on issues related to barriers to integration. The work includes successful integration practices, models of support and best practices that can be used to further improve the situation of Ukrainian migrants in the Czech Republic. In the research part, the results of qualitative research obtained with the help of a questionnaire are presented. This thesis will serve as material for further discussion and development of policies and measures that will lead to effective integration of Ukrainian citizens into Czech society. Calls With Sexual Themes On Safety Line

The thesis bearing the name "Calls With Sexual Themes On The Safety Line" in its theoretical part first briefly describes history of telephone crisis intervention in the Czech republic and also in the world, then focuses on sexual development of the child, expert advices how to effectively talk to child about sex and finally on calls with sexual themes on the Safety Line where is used of statistical data of the organization. The theoretical part is followed by a survey consisting of two separate parts: 1) questionnaires which were distributed to the consultants of the Safety Line in category I.- III.; 2) personal interviews conducted with selected consultants. The questionnaires focused on sexual themes of the calls on the Safety Line more generally, in contrary individual interviews examined more specifically what are primarily the feelings of consultants when they are talking with children about sexual topics, which kind of calls are most difficult for them and what is their help during these tough calls. Here it is worth to note that in the interviews there weren't discussed concrete calls with real children's clients, the discussion was just about the different types of calls because of prevention of the damage to the interests of the clients or organization. How social work has affected the lives of social workers.

79 Abstract This diploma thesis explores the effects of social work on a social worker. The goal of this thesis is to describe the effects regarding the worker's life and experience in depth. The theoretical part of this paper is compiled of four parts. The introductory part explicates the definition of social work and the characteristics of a social worker. The following chapter deals with the role as well as the responsibilities of a social worker in their professional life; in addition, some potential risks a social worker may experience in their line of work are presented. Next, the private life of a social worker is explored in connection with their profession. Finally, work-life balance and psychohygiene are delved into as preventative measures, which should be implemented at, as well as outside of work. The practical part of this paper is qualitative research, specifically, a semi-structured interview; in other words, an interview composed of open-ended questions was conducted with several social workers from a reception centre. The resulted data was analysed through coding techniques and delineated according to the theory explored in the first part of this paper. The main aim of this thesis is to find out the opinion of people with hearing impairment about the efforts of the majority society to reduce communication barriers and thus to facilitate better integration into the majority society. To achieve this and sub-objectives, I would like to prove this through a structured questionnaire sent out to people with hearing impairment (schools and organisations) across the country. Dance as a Therapy

This diploma thesis concentrates on working with a group of children refugees coming from Ukraine, using elements of dance-movement therapy. The theoretical part focuses on introducing information about dance in general and its meaning for humans since tribal times, its processes and analysis of movement according to Laban methodology. The practical part focuses on describing how the project with refugees came to life and all the aspects connected to its evolvement and realization. Another part of the practical part of the thesis concentrates on a description of witnessed behaviors of the group and their evolution during the times the group met.
The world of mentally challenged people from a different perspective

5 Abstract The main focus of this diploma thesis is the quality of mentally challenged people's life in the Czech Republic. The quality of their life is being analyzed from various perspectives. The thesis begins with legislation which includes individual spheres from where it's clear that this issue isn't in any law nor regulation comprehensive, but it's included only partly. The explanation and classification of retardation is included for better understanding. The main spheres of focus are following: enrollment of mentally challenged people into education including special schools followed by an assertation on the work market, housing options (especially the positive trend of transition from institutional to individual approach), leisure activities. The thesis includes sensitive topics such as sexual life, motherhood (parenthood) or violence against mentally challenged people as well. Special social work-related methods haven been developed for better cooperation between workers and mentally challenged clients. The thesis also aims on the role of non-governmental non- profit corporations which play a significant role in the work with mentally challenged people.
