Identifying CpG islands in genomes of eukaryotes
Urbánková, Kateřina ; Provazník, Ivo (referee) ; Maděránková, Denisa (advisor)
Bachelor thesis deals with searching CpG islands in DNA. The theoretical part describes the structure and composition of deoxyribonucleic acid, chromosomes and genes. There is basic information about human and chimpanzees genome and specification of CpG islands. Practical part consists of a program that searches for CpG islands in sequences, it displayes and saves it. This work includes analysis of genes which are common for Homo sapiens, Pan troglodytes, Mus musculus and Bos taurus.
TiO2 nanoporous surfaces and their properties
Roček, Vojtěch ; Urbánková, Kateřina (referee) ; Drbohlavová, Jana (advisor)
This thesis is focused on creation nanostructured surfaces of titanium dioxide and the use of photocatalytic activity of these surfaces for antimicrobial applications. The work is divided into nine main chapters, in which the literature search for producing these surfaces, the principle of photocatalysis and their typical specifics was made. These theoretical findings are then used to form such layers, analyzing their chemical and physical properties and practical verification of their antimicrobial activity. This work experimentally verified processes to ensure the increase of antimicrobial activity. The results and findings are discussed in the conclusion.
Nanostructured TiO2 as the surface for the investigation of cell behaviour
Poláková, Kateřina ; Urbánková, Kateřina (referee) ; Fohlerová,, Zdenka (advisor)
This thesis deals with the study of cells on nanostructured surfaces of titanium dioxide, which are produced by the electrochemical method called anodic oxidation. The theoretical part is formed by an overview of manufacturing nanostructured surfaces using anodic oxidation method. It mentions the influence of external factors on the geometric parameters of the structure and description of methods of characterization structures. Furthermore there is processed outline of use for biomedical application and the description of interaction of the cell with surface. The practical part includes description of the production of nanoporous and nano-tubular structures made on thin films of titanium by direct method of anodic oxidation on which was studied the influence of external factors. Described a procedure and production of nanorods structures and nanodots generated using alumina template (AAO) which is subsequently carried out the study of the behavior of cells, which includes tests of adhesion, examination of morphology of cells, assays of proliferation and differentiation. Structures are under investigation of the interaction of cells with the nanostructured layer compared with the smooth surface of the titanium dioxide.
Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy as a nanostructured bioelectrodes characterization method
Vrbová, Eva ; Urbánková, Kateřina (referee) ; Hrdý, Radim (advisor)
Diploma thesis deals of nanostructured surfaces, nanoparticles and electrochemical characterization methods such as cyclic voltammetry, differential pulse voltammetry and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. The aim of this thesis is a theoretical research issues of production and characterization nanostructured modified electrodes. The practical part is the production of biomodified nanostructured electrodes by anodi- zation W/Al layers with galvanic deposition of gold or deposition of mercury, a modifi- cation of the electrodes by 11-mercaptoundecanoic acid and by bovine serum albumin (BSA). The thesis includes SEM images of nanostructured electrodes contact angle mea- surements of these electrodes and form an electrical circuit with subsequent simulation waveforms.
Electrochemical Characterization of Nanostructured Surfaces Modified by Substancies with Thiol Bound
Urbánková, Kateřina ; Kynclová, Hana (referee) ; Hrdý, Radim (advisor)
This master thesis deals with nanotechnology, nanoparticles and nanostructured surfaces, electrochemical methods, especially voltammetry, cyclic voltammetry, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and contact angle measurement. One part is focused on electrodes primarily nanostructured and modified by substancies with thiol bound. Tutorial for preparation of gold nanostructured electrods is introduced in practical section including SEM photos of electrode surface. Nanostructured and bare gold electrodes were modified by 11-mercaptoundecanoic acid, streptavidin, glycine and biotin and measured by cyclic voltammetry, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and contact angle.
Motivation Factors of a Rightful Tax Return
Urbánková, Kateřina ; Kubátová, Květa (advisor) ; Beneš, Jonáš (referee)
The diploma thesis deals with the motivation factors of a rightful tax return. The aim of the thesis was to identify influence of attitude, subjective norms and behavioural control on a truthfulness of a taxpayer when filling in the tax return. The first part of the thesis is aimed on definition of a tax evasion. Furthermore, this part deals with the causes of tax evasions as well as with ethical point of view on tax evasions in general. The second part of the thesis deals with the indicators of extent and evolution of tax evasions in the Czech Republic and in the European Union. The indicators of tax evasions are the following: shadow economy, tax gap of VAT, tax quota, corruption index and frequency of tax control. The third part includes the results of the questionnaire survey that was realised among the Czech entrepreneurs. The results show the cases of tax evasions that the entrepreneurs may have consider as rightful. Thereafter, using the chi-squared test, the analysis examined whether the attitude of the entrepreneurs towards the tax evasions is influenced by the factors as company seat, annual turnover or number of employees. In several cases, the research confirmed an existence of dependence between attitude of entrepreneurs towards tax evasions and the factors stated above.
