Production of secondary metabolites in the explant cultures of Trichocereus pachanoi (Cactaceae) Lucie Urbanová Diploma thesis Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové, Pharmacy Key words: Trichocereus pachanoi, the explant cultures, mescaline, secondary metabolites, prodrugs, elicitation, cinnamic acid, sodium cinnamate, tryptophan, ozone, methylene blue The aim of this thesis was the research of effect of selected precursors and elicitors for secondary metabolite production of mescaline in explant cultures Trichocereus pachanoi. Suspension cultures were cultivated on the Murashige and Skoog medium with addition of the growth regulators 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid and 6-benzylaminopurine. To observe changes in production these precursors: cinnamic acid, sodium cinnamate and tryptophan, and these elicitors: ozone and methylene blue, were selected. Precursors were prepared and used in concentrations of 50, 100 and 500 mg·l-1. Ozone was added in two time slots, 5 and 10 seconds. Methylene blue has been used in concentrations of 1, 10 and 100 mg·l-1. Cultivation with added compounds lasted for 24 and 168 hours. The content of mescaline was determined by HPLC analysis. The effectiveness of teaching synthetic phonics to EFL students Abstract The diploma considers the effectiveness of systematic and explicit Synthetic Phonics teaching methods in the EFL learning environment. The theoretical section examines foreign language methodology - the field of reading acquisition in young learners, especially English language pronunciation. It studies how systematic explicit Phonics approach can help in learning how to read and pronounce words correctly. It explores the similarities and differences between teaching Synthetic and Analytic Phonics, and compares them. Furthermore it discusses whether synthetic phonics is useful not only for native English speakers, but also for EFL students. The practical part focuses on testing two groups of children who have different experiences of phonics. The data were collected in Prague and the Hradec Králové region. There were 62 students tested out of whom 33 were in a control group and 29 were taught using a systematic Phonics approach. A specially designed test consisting of two different activities was applied. It tested word reading, non-word pronouncing and sight word recognition. A System for Eye Movement Tracking

V této bakalářské práci jsou diskutovány možnosti a aplikace systému pro sledování pohybu očí, obsahující i aktuálně na trhu používané produkty. Práce následně uvádí řešení takového systému. Obsahuje návrh a realizaci držáku pro pevné uchycení kamery. Práce obsahuje i realizaci softvéru vytvořeného v C/C++ za využití Visual Studia a knihoven OpenCV. Tato aplikace sestává z procesů detekce očí, testování a vyhodnocení. Jako součást práce je provedeno a vyhodnoceno testování vytvořeného systému. Práce rovněž posuzuje vlastnosti systému a nabízí připadná rozšíření.

Importance of family life and a healthy family-work balance

This bachelor thesis considers the importance of a family and the question of harmonization of family and work life.It defines a family and work as very significant parts of a human life and points at some main attitudes towards the issues of putting family life and work together. Some transformations in terms of the relationship between a family and work in the past are suggested. There are also stated some basic measures of the state, which support a family. This thesis also considers the position of women in the labour market, the competence of the state and employers in the matter of women returning to work after parental leave. The most common methods of taking care of children younger than three years are also shown.There is a conception of Homeworking introduced as an alternative in the matter of harmonization of family and work life.

Flexible forms of employment This diploma thesis deals with the flexible forms of employment as an alternatives to regular form of employment. The focus of the first two chapters is to determine the basic terms regarding the topic of this thesis; the following chapter concentrates on the flexible forms of employment regulated by Czech law in particular, i.e. Fixed-term contract, part-time job, homeworking, agreements on work carried out beyond employment and agency employment. In the scope of introduction of the particular flexible forms of employment this thesis in detail deals with the Czech law regulation of these forms of employment and follows up their benefits and drawbacks to the parties of the before mentioned agreements. The thesis briefly mentions some legal issues besides the labor law, especially the issues from fields of the social security law and the tax law.

Effect of cognitive task in postural sway of patiens with phobic postural vertigo

Diploma thesis "Effect of cognitive task in postural sway of patiens with phobic postural vertigo" in its theoretical part discusses physiology of balance system, its disorders and summarizes knowledge of phobic postural vertigo. In experimental section we analyzed postural stability of 5 patients with phobic postural vertigo, 5 patients with structural lesion of vestibular system and 5 healthy subjects with posturography during normal stence and while performing cognitive tasks - "Contact test", Verbal Fluency task and modified Stroop test. Motorial development in blind children

Cílem této práce je zaznamenat největší úskalí ve vývoji nevidomého dítěte do období samostatné chůze. Jaké problémy ve vývoji především hrubé motoriky přináší slepota. Proč a o jakou dobu je zpožděn vývoj nevidomého dítěte ve srovnání s dítětem vidomým. Pro dokreslení problematiky je stručně uveden také vývoj psychosociální. Tato práce je čistě teoretická. Přináší souhrn výsledků z různých studií motorického vývoje nevidomých dětí a jejich srovnání s výsledky dětí vidících. Většina studií je nejméně třicet let stará. V dnešní době je alespoň v Čechách situace taková, že všechny nevidomé děti jsou již od narození v péči odborníků a zpoždění zde uvedené se neobjeví. The Possibility of Changing the Payment Process at Discount Portals

The bachelor thesis deals with the discount coupons. The theoretical part explains the concept of a discount coupon which is connected with the marketing mix. There is also mentioned the history of discount portals in the Czech Republic as well as in the whole world.
The second part is about an evaluation of the present situation of using the coupons. There is also mentioned the fact that a lot of users of coupons were not satisfied with the situation about using them. The questionnaire was created to prove the thesis that there is possible negative experience with the using of discount coupons. The research subject is whether coupons fulfilled their purpose in business promotion or not. Afterwards there are finding obstacles that would essentially allow the fact of showing coupons while paying.
The last part described models whether it would be possible or not to show coupons while paying. There is also suggested what would theoretically be the coupons about, if they should be submitted at the end when paying.

Využití zemědělského půdního fondu v katastrálním území Sudkov

Bachelor thesis is focused on the use of agricultural land resources in the selected cadastral area. My bachelor thesis devoted to analysis of the historical development of agricultural land. I concentrated on the period of time beginning in 1958 and ending with the present. The thesis is divided into two larger units. In the first part of thesis is processed characteristics land and land resources and the development of Czech agriculture. The second part is devoted to the cadastral territory Sudkov. We find here the characteristics of the selected area and the historical development of specific plots in the cadastral Sudkov. Ownership of land development is described from the land books to the actual cadastral register. The main purpose of this thesis is analyse the development assessment and utilization of land resources in the cadastral area Sudkov.
