LÉKAŘSKÁ FAKULTA Ústav ošetřovatelství Michaela Jirásková Aberantní chování, opioidy a bolest Bakalářská práce Praha 2023 ABSTRACT Background: Objectives: The aim is to determine the frequency of risk of aberrant behavior based on screening and the actual incidence of aberrant the group of patients with chronic pain without opioid treatment. Methods: 30 patients with chronic non-cancer pain not using opioid analgesics and 30 patients with chronic non-cancer pain using opioid analgesics hospitalized at the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine, 2nd Faculty of Medicine Charles University and Motol University Hospital. Patients were presented with the following tests in paper form: Structured Interview, ORT, ET, COMM, SOAP-R, CADE AID. Respondents signed an informed consent form based on EC approval. The study was approved by the EC. Results: For socio-demographic and clinical variables, we used chi-square testing for statistical significance as appropriate and concluded that there was a statistically significant difference between the opioid analgesic user group and the non-user group. When examining the effect of sociodemographic variables on quality of life in patients with chronic non-cancer pain compared to the effect of sociodemographic variables on the group of patients without...
Locus of control and subjective health perception in patients with chronic pain in nursing
Dančíková, Marcela ; Raudenská, Jaroslava (advisor) ; Jirkovský, Daniel (referee)
The bachelor's thesis looks at how Locus of control, spirituality and religiosity affect health and chronic pain. The theoretical part deals with the issue of pain, with emphasis on pharmacotherapy. The terms Locus of control, religiosity, spirituality and their effect on physical, psychological health and pain are explained, including an overview of methods to measure the listed 3 domains. It also focuses on linking the relationship of religiosity, spirituality, Locus of control, quality of life and emotional experience in people with chronic pain. Objectives: The aim of the empirical part was to identify differences between individuals with external Locus of control and internal Locus of control in sociodemographic, religiosive, clinical and affective variables, and how the locus of control predicts the variables. Methods: It involved 43 patients with chronic pain who were hospitalized at the Clinic of Rehabilitation and Physical Medicine 2. LF UK and FN Motol. We were interested in sociodemographic data, including pain data, where intensity, discomfort and pain duration were included. The VAS scale was used to measure intensity and discomfort. We have used the LOC scale to determine whether an individual is an internalist or an externalist.Furthermore, questionnaires from GHLC, DUREL, FPQ-III,...
Fear and procedural pain in COVID - 19 vaccination in adult nursing
Rotreklová, Anežka ; Raudenská, Jaroslava (advisor) ; Neugebauer, Jan (referee)
Background: The bachelor thesis deals with the fear and procedural pain accompanying vaccination within the framework of the vaccination against sars-CoV-2 virus in the pandemic starting in 2020 in the Czech Republic. Objectives: This quantitative study aims to map fear and procedural pain before and after all doses of COVID-19 vaccination, regardless of vaccine, in a demographic sample of 100-200 nurses aged 18-100 years. Furthermore, to place the intensity of fear and pain in the context of sociodemographic data and to suggest possible non- pharmacological or psychological approaches to reduce these feelings in relation to the COVID-19 vaccination Methods: .... nurse respondents who met inclusion criteria participated in the study. These included both healthy individuals and those with chronic illness or pain. High school or college degree attained in nursing education with years of nursing experience, demographic data, and diagnosis of psychiatric illness with a focus on anxiety and unreasonable fear in the physician were collected. The anamnestic questionnaire also included the types of vaccines within each dose and the dates on which vaccinations were given. The Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) and the Adult Faces Anxiety Scale were used to assess fear and pain before and after administration of...
Fear of movement in patients with chronic neck spain pain - validization of Tampa Scale
Vodičková, Šárka ; Raudenská, Jaroslava (advisor) ; Lexová, Eliška (referee)
The bachelor thesis deals with measuring fear of movement using the Tampa Scale of Kinesiophobia (TSK) and validating the scale in a Czech population of patients with chronic cervical spine pain. The design of the theoretical part of the thesis is a scoping review, and it aims to identify suitable validation studies, interpret their results and evaluate their strengths and limitations. The thesis presents different versions of TSK and their use in different patient groups. In the empirical part of the thesis, an eleven-item TSK is validated in a sample of Czech patients with chronic illness (n = 191). The scale showed good reliability (internal consistency and stability) and validity (criterion and construct). Somatic focus (TSK-SF) and activity avoidance (TSK-AA) were identified as factors, and both were strongly associated with the constructs of anxiety, depression and disability. In addition, anxiety, depression and pain intensity emerged as significant predictors of kinesiophobia. In the discussion, the results of the study are compared with previous research, the clinical use of TSK-11 is evaluated, and opportunities for further research are also identified.
Quality of life in a child with epilepsy
Bazalová, Tereza ; Tomová, Šárka (advisor) ; Raudenská, Jaroslava (referee)
Background: This bachelor thesis deals with the assessment of quality of life in children with epilepsy aged 11-18 years using a standardized questionnaire (QOLIE-AD-48). Objectives: The aim of the research was to map the quality of life in children with epilepsy aged 11-18 years using the QOLIE-AD-48 questionnaire. The child's quality of life was examined in eight domains of life. We were interested in the impact of epilepsy on the child. How patients perceive their overall health. How the child's memory is affected, how they concentrate, their physical functioning and behaviour at school. The social support of the environment was observed, but also the stigma of being epileptic. Methods: A standardized questionnaire QOLIE-48-AD was used for the research. The age of all respondents ranged from 11 to 18 years. The children had a confirmed diagnosis of epilepsy and all had experienced more than one seizure. The questionnaires were scored according to a standardized scoring manual. Internal consistency as well as Cronbach's alpha coefficient were used for statistical processing. Results: In the domain of behaviour at school, Czech children achieved a high score of 94.05. Czech children feel high social support from their environment, although their negative opinion of the epilepsy were not affected....
Opioid Risk Tool (ORT) in Patients with Chronic Nonmalignant Pain receiving long-term opioid therapy
Maršíková, Veronika ; Raudenská, Jaroslava (advisor) ; Nikodemová, Hana (referee)
Background: This bachelor thesis focuses on the topic of chronic pain in connection with long-term treatment with opioid analgesics and the associated risk of developing addiction and the possibility of screening this risk using the Opioid Risk Tool (ORT) in nursing. Objectives: The aim of the cross-sectional, quantitative study was to validate the ORT questionnaire in the Czech version, to evaluate its individual items by performing a factor analysis and assessing the impact of socio-demographic and clinical variables. Methods: A total of 411 patients on long-term treatment with opioid analgesics met inclusive and exclusive criteria and were included in the study. The patients were administered with an anamnestic questionnaire and the ORT, ET (Emotional Thermometers), COMM (Current Opioid Misuse Measure) and VAS (Visual Analogue Scale) questionnaires. The data were statistically processed using the determination of internal consistency, sensitivity, specificity, negative and positive predictive values, parametric and non-parametric tests, exploratory factor analysis and logistic regression. Results: A medium correlation was found between the ET and ORT questionnaires. Significant differences in selected socio-demographic and clinical variables between the opioid misuse group and the group without...

Cognitive Mechanisms Associated with Proneness to Halutinations
Say, Nicolas ; Lukavský, Jiří (advisor) ; Raudenská, Jaroslava (referee)
Hallucinations are often seen as a serious symptom of mental illness. Nonetheless, recent decades have produced a body of evidence that documented the presence of hallucinations even in non-clinical samples. Therefore, focusing on these samples is critical for improving understanding of processes underlying auditory hallucinations. The present study examines cognitive mechanisms that have been proposed to influence proneness to auditory hallucinations. A battery of experimental measures is implemented to assess some of the mechanisms implicated in the aetiology of hallucinations. Source monitoring, cognitive inhibition, bottom-up processes, working memory and traumatic experiences were measured in a laboratory study of 52 participants. Findings suggest that proneness to hallucinations is associated with impaired top-down processing and early traumatic experiences. No association between other cognitive mechanisms and hallucination proneness, contrary to previous evidence, has been found. This indicates that impaired source memory, working memory and bottom-up processing impairments might distinguish clinical and non-clinical hallucinators. An alternative implication of these findings points at issues with reproducibility in the hallucination research. Keywords: Auditory verbal hallucinations,...
