This thesis deals with phenomena of augmented reality in context of didactics. The thesis aims to define augmented reality in conceptual and content area and focuses on augmented reality in the structure of educational tools and identification of its functions and use from the didactical standpoint. The thesis characterizes augmented reality as a specific technological-perceptual concept and establishes a system of perceptual, technological and resulting aspects that reflect important parameters of augmented reality. The thesis also examines the didactic specifics of augmented reality, defines the main possible didactic intentions for its use and establishes a structure of augmented reality systems in terms of teaching forms. Thesis defines didactic qualities and specifics of augmented reality as a technical educational tool with the support of empirical research. The concept of the thesis represents a comprehensive study of augmented reality from different perspectives and standpoints related to education and it can be understood as a base for other more specific research projects related to the issue of the use of augmented reality in education. Educational specifics of the spatial visualization
Prokýšek, Miloš ; Rambousek, Vladimír (advisor) ; Adámek, Petr (referee) ; Nikl, Jiří (referee)
This thesis deals with phenomena of spatial visualization, application of spatial visualization in instruction and its educational specifics. The present thesis addresses the questions of definition of spatial visualization in instruction, specification of educational specifics and exploration of the relations between spatial visualization and cognitive processes. The experimental part of the thesis is focused on relations between the form of presentation of subject matter (planar visualization and spatial visualization), spatial intelligence, or the ability of mental rotation and the results of learning at students of lower secondary (ISCED 2) school. Elaboration of the theory given field of educational means, the thesis seeks to contribute to the development of theoretical bases of pedagogy with the context of increasing importance of technology for support education.
Problems of penetration of information technology into education
Weis, Peter ; Rambousek, Vladimír (advisor) ; Leipert, Jiří (referee)
This diploma thesis is dealing with the negative consequences of implementation of information and communication technologies and its penetration into education. The purpose of the thesis is identification and analysis of problems dealing with the intensive use of ICT in education of children in elementary school. The objectives of the thesis were fulfilled using theoretical and empirical research methods. The theoretical methods subsumed study and analysis of scientific literature, articles and study of results of theme related experiments. The empirical research methods contained interview, questionnaire, and students' observation. The conclusion of the thesis contains evaluation and summary of the explorative research results, research findings and recommendations for further education and pedagogical practice.

The Use of Webcasting systems in education
Novák, Milan ; Rambousek, Vladimír (advisor) ; Novák, Jaroslav (referee) ; Švejda, Gabriel (referee)
The issues discussed in this thesis are the problematics of making use of web casting systems in education. The aim of this research is the identification and analysis of web casting systems as a contemporary kind of audiovisual or multi-medial directed instructional media. A wide spectrum of properties and characteristics of web casting systems are subject to exploitation with the aim to understand their didactical specifics and possibilities of the functional use within the frame of innovation methods and techniques in education. The results of theoretical and empirical exploitation provide a solution for a model design of a web casting system. By detailing the theory of this specific area of didactical instruments, this thesis attempts to contribute to the development of information and technical education didactics and conscious of the growing importance of technologies for the support of education in the society, of knowledge and pedagogical science generally.
Development of competency to manipulate structured data, information, and knowledge in ICT education
Mudrák, David ; Rambousek, Vladimír (advisor) ; Černochová, Miroslava (referee) ; Nikl, Jiří (referee)
The doctoral thesis titled "Development of competency to manipulate structured data, information, and knowledge in ICT education" is carried out in the held of ICT education theory, a pedagogical discipline dealing with a theory of educational action leading to the development of information literacy. The research project was connected to the previous research activities realized in the field by author's department members. The research was focused on the elaboration of form and approach to the development of competency to handle structured data, information and knowledge. This competency is described as a set of abilities and skills to manipulate such structures, for example structured text, diagram of database model, mind map, or concept map, and the ability to transform these structures among each other. These skills are conceived to play an important role in dealing with informational tasks and, therefore, are a key component of several information literacy development models including Big6™ (Eisenberg - Berkowitz, 1990, 1999), Information Seeking (Kuhlthau, 1993, 1999), Information Skills (Irving, 1992), Pitts/Stripling Research Process (Stripling Pitts, 1988; Pitts et al., 1995; Veltze, 2003), and New South Wales Information Process NSW (1989). The project was concerned with manipulation of structures...
