Production of a part of the TV bracket

Master’s thesis is focused on the design of the production of a part of the TV bracket. Part is made of steel sheet with thickness of 2,5 mm. The structural steel S 235 JRG1 was chosen as the most suitable material with following powder coating. From the possible variants, the production by progressive forming tool was chosen with respect to production requirements and a series size of 25 000 pieces by year. Part will be made in seven steps and it will require total force of 2 500 kN. Production will be realized on a mechanical eccentric press KSTU 3150-25-F3-P-SE from ANDRITZ Metals with maximum force of 3 150 kN.
Production design of the plug holder

The bachelor thesis is focused on the production of a socket holder for towing devices. The chosen material is mild steel 11 321, which will be subsequently galvanized. The component will be manufactured from 2 mm thick coils of sheet metal in a total production of 100,000 pieces/year. Of the production variants considere, the technology of cutting and bending in a combined tool was chosen. The whole component will be manufactured in four steps with an overall material availability of 89,35 %. A total forming force of 530 kN is required for production. The design of the tool was based on the selected technological process. Mecanica Exacta model DM-S eccentric press from Formetal was chosen as the production machine, which will be subsequently introduced into the automated line.
Design for the production of a console plate

The bachelor thesis deals with the design of the production of a new type of cantilever plate, which is used for attaching the staircase structure to the wall made of steel 11 373 with a thickness of 3 mm. It is manufactured by a combination of shearing and bending methods in a progressive compound tool in 4 steps. First the inner holes and part of the shape are cut out, then the outer shape is cut and bent. The production stand is a CC250 eccentric press, where the force required for forming is 903.5 kN and the work is 4,001 J.
Manufacturing of Motorcycle Sprocket

The work focuses on the production of a motorcycle sprocket, which transfers the torque from the output shaft of the gearbox to the rear disk of the wheel. Steel 12 050 was chosen for the production of the component, which is suitable for the intended purpose. The sprocket, produced in a series of 80,000 pieces per year, has a diameter of 191.9 mm and a thickness of 5 mm. After considering all factors, fine blanking with v-ring was selected as the manufacturing method. For this series, a semi-finished product in the form of a coil was chosen, which has an outer diameter of 1,400 mm and a width of 204 mm. For the annual production batch, 59 full coils and one incomplete coil will be required. Before the actual tool design, technological and control calculations were performed to verify the functionality of the proposed cutter. The tool was supplemented with technical documentation and a detailed description of the construction. Based on the calculated values, a triple-action hydraulic press Feintool HFA 11,000 plus was designed, which is part of the production line, which also includes decoiling and straightening equipment.
Design for the production of a trombone silencer

The goal was to design the production of a trombone mute. It is a complex rotational part with a constant wall thickness of 0.5 mm. Metal spinning was chosen as the most suitable technology for manufacturing 500 pieces from the aluminum alloy EN AW – 3103. The manufacturability was evaluated, the dimensions of the blank, the shapes and material of the tools for two operations were designed, and finally, the production process was developed.
Manufacturing of grill

The task was to design a disassemblable and transportable grill capable of grilling food up to 10 kg with the possibility of easy adding of charcoal. Corrosion-resistant steel 1.4301 was chosen for the material in contact with food, steel 1.0425 for heat-stressed parts, and steel 1.0038 for all other structural parts. The production technology included shearing, cutting, bending, rolling, welding, and machining using the machine park of the Institute of Manufacturing Technology at Brno University of Technology. After comparing the current market, a garden grill was designed with dimensions of 900 mm in length, 625 mm in width, and 1510 mm in height when closed, with a total weight of 78 kg and a sheet thickness of 2 mm. The drive unit, model MOT-EC 15/3-5, was chosen for its performance. The spit with forks was supplied by Kovo Janeček. The total cost of manufacturing the grill was estimated at approximately 10,000 CZK, and its transportability can be achieved using vans or larger vehicles such as SUVs or trailers.
Method development of forged piece in conditions of modern forge

Taking into account modern technology solutions has been selected die forging of the wheel hub of automobile steel 14220 (DIN 16MnCr5) about the serial 50000 pcs. Based on the literature study and practical experience has been solved forging process, including technological calculations, engineering drawings and results of simulations of the forging process performed by the Qform software tool. A tool was designed to be made of 19552 grade alloy tool steel. The forged piece is to be forged on an LZK 1000 crank press with the nominal forming force of 10 MN manufactured by Šmeral Brno. The stock is divided with shears from bar 45 mm 6 m long to bar 89.5 mm long.
Manufacturing of pin with flange

The bachelor thesis is focused on the design of the towing hitch, which is used in the tractor. The component will be the production of a die forging technology made of low-alloy steel 13 242. The material is supplied as hot-rolled bars with a diameter of 60 mm and a length of 6 000 mm. The size of the production series has been set at 25,000 pieces per year. Due to the issue and the size of the forging, the component will be made on a power hammer. The machine Šmeral KHZ 8A, appears to be a suitable machine as the forging work was calculated at 89 kJ. The technical - economic evaluation takes into account material costs, which amount to 1,364,271 CZK. The die is made of tool steel 19 663, its purchase price is 73 000 CZK.
Production of joint folded out the rule

Project developed within the bachelor study presents a proposal production technology of joint folded out the rule from construction steel 12 060. Thick is 0,5 mm and the production ran is specify at 30 000 units a year. In accordance with literature studies and by calculations have been designed a combined roll forming tool, which consists of a rack with two pillars. This tool will be fix in on eccentric press LEN 10C by SMERAL, Trnava, with nominal press force 100 kN. Trimming punches, holding punch and bending puch are made of tool steel, grade 19 436.3. Lower functional part of the tool ass well.
