Post-colonial adaptations of Shakespeare's plays

This thesis deals with the analyses of three adaptations of Shakespeare's plays in postcolonial countries like Canada, Trinidad and Tobago and Republic of South Africa. Three plays are examined in historical and cultural context of colonial and post-colonial theatre of the countries mentioned above. The first chapter of the thesis familiarizes the reader with problems of colonialism and its cultural effects. The aim of the thesis is to point out to the way, in which the authors of the adaptations treat the works of William Shakespeare, the leading playwright of mother imperium - Great Britain, and simultaneously emphasize unusual position of the adaptations in the framework of their cultural surrounding and in the framework of post-colonial drama.

Contemporary Czech radio drama. Acoustic experiments of Heiner Goebbels

This thesis deals with one historically important radio genre - radio play. It is focused on contemporary German production, which kepts its significance as one of the few up to this day not only in the field of radio production but also in the field of culture generally. Several chapters of the thesis are devoted to the specifics of the "Hörspiel" (for example the difference from the Czech conception of radio play), to its development during more than octogenarian history of broadcasting and to the ways how it reaches the listeners today. From wide range of kinds of radio plays I focused especially on typical experimental production of musician, composer and director Heiner Goebbels. The subject of my analysis is not only his creative style but also two of his writings, which became crucial for development of modern radio productions.

Teatr Novoga Fronta. From physical to post-physical theatre

This thesis is composed by two basic chapters. Introductory theoretic chapter deals with the phenomen of the physical theatre, with discursive formation of the term physical theatre and with the body and the corporality. The second part pays to the activity oftheatre company Teatr Novogo Fronta - The Physical Theatre Company, that was founded in St. Petersburg in 1993 by Aleš Janák and Irina Andreeva. From 1994 the company has resided in Prague and in Czech surrounding it belongs to one of the oldest alternative group. The core of the thesis is chapter, that explicates the activity of the company on the background of two different conceptions and there is imply movement on the trajectory from shows, which border on the frontier oftheatre to theatre, which tends to producing the stage effects. A reader meets with the wider context of change the theatre poetic, that appeared around 2002, and especially with the wider context of the company' s creative activity in the chapters "By the introduction" and "Creation". They are formulated to present crucial aspects of art and non-art activity of the group. Contemporary circus' aesthetics and poetics (from the modern circus to the current one or systematic interleaving of individual arts to create an absolute one)

This diploma thesis is focused on the research in the area of the new and the contemporary circus. The essential object of the thesis is the characteristics of the contemporary circus phenomenon, which should demonstrate its artistic independence. The analysis of typical contemporary circus aspects is implemented in nine self-contained chapters. These chapters are dedicated to the development process from the modern circus to the contemporary circus, the minute analysis of different circus arts and their particularities, the contemporary circus architecture, the circus artists' physical and acting improvement and last but not least to the human body as the cardinal instrument of contemporary circus expression. An important part of the thesis is based on the description of contemporary circus performance elements, which are practically presented on the compagnies' creative processes. Especially the last chapter contains the descritption of four different contemporary circus performances made by four different contemporary circus compagnies which come from France or francophone territories. The primary research method was searching and studying theoretical literature dedicated to the circus, interviewing circus pedagugues, artists and theorists and analysing the contemporary circus performances.

The Spanish theatre in the period of Francoism. Antonio Buero Vallejo (1916- 2000)

Touto prací se snažím představit základní rysy španělské dramatiky 20. století na pozadí frankistické diktatury. Hlavní pozornost je zaměřena na Antonia Buera Valleja (1916- 2000), největší osobnost španělského poválečného divadla. První kapitoly seznamují čtenáře s okolnostmi, které vedly k frankismu, jeho průběh a vliv na španělskou divadelní kulturu. Okolnosti vzniku dramatických děl v této době nastiňuji skrze osobnost Antonia Buera Valleji, přičemž se zaměřuji jak na konkrétní díla tohoto dramatika, tak na jeho život, kterým je jeho tvorba značně ovlivněna. Základní dramatické prostředky, kterými se Antonia Buero Vallejo zapsal jak do španělské, tak do světové dramatiky, se pokusím přiblížit na třech hrách z frankistického období, které jsou v současné době dostupné v českém překladu, tedy Historia de una escalera, La doble historia del doctor Valmy a El sueno de Ia razón. Dostatečná rozdílnost těchto tří dramat dává prostor k poznání Antonia Buera Valleji z různých pohledů a sledovat jeho vývoj od hry Historia de una escalera, díky které se ve Španělsku proslavil, až po El sueiío de Ia razón, což byla poslední Buerova hra uvedená během frankistické diktatury. Evaluation of the Qualitative Benefits of the Development Project Co-financed by the EU

The first part of my work focuses on the theoretical description of EU regional policy, its evolution and the description and the objectives of the different programming periods. In this part of the work is also described which EU funds are being used for co-financing of different goals. Furthermore I define all operational programs which can be used to draw funds to provide grants. These information are necessarry to choose the right operational program to use. For the particular project co-financed from the European Union, I present an economic analysis of the project and a questionnaire survey which I use to do a qualitative assessment of the project and its help for the development of the region.

Market Entry Strategies with a Focus on Swedish Market

The diploma thesis is devoted to market entry strategies, afterwards it is focused on entry to swedish market of selected company.The first chapter theoretically describes market entry strategies. The second chapter is focused on swedish market, as a target market of chosen company. The main part of this chapter pursues description and analysis of swedish entrepreneurial environment. Therefore two reports are used: Doing Business Report and Global Competitivness Report. The third chapter describes market entry of selected company, the fourth part evaluetes its rate of success. The aim of this thesis is to analyze reasons and market entry strategies, evaluate swedish market from the perspective of the Czech company entering the swedish market and at the end to assess the rate of success of the market entry.

Pervasivity in Live Art

The aim of this thesis is to offer an application of the concept of pervasivity on the field of live art. The first chapter introduces the concept as it was defined in the field of game studies, mainly by scholars of Tampere school. To fill this aim it makes use of terminology coming chiefly from social sciences. The second chapter describes the relationship between game and theatre including their common as well as dissimilar features and then adapts the pervasivity concept for the theatre field. The third chapter brings possible applications of the concept by presenting three examples of a piece's confrontation of everydayness: through accentation, fabrication and construction. The conclusion sums up possible pervasive moments in the examined pieces of art.

Current Economical Sitaution of Sweden and its trade with the Czech Republic

This bachelors thesis called Current Economical Sitaution of Sweden and its trade with the Czech Republic pursues Swedish kingdom, one of the highly developed country, its current situation and trade with Czech Republic. The first chapter informs about basic demographic, geographical and macroeconomic data about Sweden. The second chapter is focused on swedish foreign trade, describes commodity structure of exports and imports. The third chapter of this thesis describes the position of one chosen swedish mark on the czech market - Volvo Group. The main part of this chapter is focused on one chosen unit Volvo Trucks Czech Republic and mentions the biggest competitors. The aim of this thesis is to analyse and based on macroeconomic data evaluate current situation of swedish economy, describe international relationships between the Czech Republic and Sweden and analyse the situation of Volvo Trucks on the czech market.
