Fundamental and technical analysis of a particular asset

The goal of the thesis is to evaluate the degree of efficiency of the particular markets and to apply the methods of fundamental and technical analysis on them in order to assess their efficiency in terms of profitablity. The thesis analyses the degree of long-term memory of the particular commodities and stock indices via Hurst coefficient. Afterwards fundamental and technical methods are applied to the market with the highest degree of long-term memory, which is the feeder cattle market. Indidivual methods from both disciplines are being applied at first, after wich a combnation of both is appleid as well. The result is the discovery, whether combining the two approaches leads to a higher profitability of the trading strategy. At the end the effect of transacton costs is also evalauted and a final conclusion is made regarding the profit potential of both methods for the case of individual Czech investor.
Analysis of factors influencing the mortgage market in the Czech Republic

The topic of this diploma thesis is the analysis of the factors influencing the mortgage market in the Czech Republic. The first part explains the basic terms related to the mortgage loan. Then follow characteristics of different mortgage loans which a client is able to get on the local market. Next there is a description of the history of mortgage lending in the Czech Republic and its development to the present day. The first chapter of the analytical part defines the factors which has influence on the development of the mortgage market. In the next chapter these macroeconomic factors are analyzed and evaluated. The objective of the work is to create a simplified model describing the interaction of macroeconomic variables and the mortgage market, used to estimate the future development and managing banking risk.
Fundamental and technical analysis of stock title Airbus Group

My bachelor thesis is focused on fundamental and technical analysis of stock title Airbus Group and depending on that fact is the aim of my work the formulation of investment recommendation. The thesis consists of four chapters. First of them is concerned with global analysis and its impact on the stock market. The second chapter deals with sector analysis, where my aim was to examine the branch od Aerospace and Defence in detail. In the last part I carried out corporate analysis and with individual models I tried to determine, what is the intrinsic value of the stock. Technical analysis and to that related ways of prediction of the next trend development are stated in the fourth and also last chapter of my thesis.
The Efficient Frontier and International Portfolio Diversification

This thesis will focus on the creation of a portfolio. The first part of this paper describes how to get the efficient frontier of a portfolio. The thesis explains things such as the diversification and international diversification of the portfolio. It also explains how the investor can use it for his profit. In the second part of this paper, these methods are tested and evaluated in the condition of today's globalized world.
Cashless society

This thesis is aimed at cashless payments which have recently gained worldwide significance. Cash is being gradually phased-out by card transactions and mobile payments via non-bank provider of payment services. A question arises of what would happen if cash would disappear in its entirety and we would find ourselves in a "cashless society". This topic which at first glance appears to be utopian is the subject of this thesis. The first part compares the market of cashless payments in the Czech Republic and in northern Europe (which is amongst the most developed), in particular with regard to the use of cards and mobile payments. The second part is concerned with the phenomenon of shadow economy and the influence of cashless payments on its volume. Concrete recommendations for the Czech economy are also the part of this chapter. The final part hits the essence of the issue and deals with concrete pros and cons of going cashless. The chapter is systematically divided into three parts - security, cost-benefit analysis and legal aspects.
Fundamental analysis of Tiffany & Co.

The bachelor thesis focuses on using the principles of fundamental analysis in order to formulate an investment recommendation with regard to the publicly traded company Tiffany & Co. Making use of established investment methods, it is performed in three consecutive parts. Firstly, the global analysis views the macroeconomic environment and its possible impact on stock prices. Secondly, the industry analysis examines the conditions in which the luxury jewellery market operates and what challanges it might be exposed to in the future. Thirdly, the company analysis treats historical, present and expected data in the process of determining the intrinsic value of the company, using various methods of calculation. The objective of this part is the establishment of a reasonable investment recommendation.
Effects of the changes of EU’s GSP on Czech republic’s foreign trade

This work focuses on effects of the changes of EU's GSP on Czech republic's foreign trade and also functioning of the whole system. In the theoretical part is delineated the basic development and historical context of the Generalized system of preferences. There are also defined main changes of the system, which have had substantial impact on its working. Great emphasis is put on the latest changes that have been passed in 2012. The analytics part of this work focuses also on the most conspicuous change of the GSP system, which means reduction in the number of beneficiaries. It is evaluated which impact on the Czech republic's foreign trade or rather economic situation this change have had. The impact is noticeable only in relation with Russian Federation and Kazakhstan exclusion from the GSP, because Czech republic imports some strategic items from these states. Share of other countries on Czech's import is either negligible or import of those products is diversified well. At the same time is impact of exclusion of GSP of some states reduce by conclusion of FTA.
The Use of Financial Derivatives to Hedge Against Currency Risks

Diploma thesis is focused on analysis and comparison using financial derivatives to hedge currency risk. The first part of the thesis describes instruments used for hedging: forex forwards, futures contracts and currency options. Those instruments are used for back-testing in analytical part, currency crosses used for back-testing are EUR/USD, EUR/GBP and GBP/USD. The main goal of this thesis is to evaluate the posibility of using them to hedge currency risk, comparison of their efectivity and application.
Analysis of influence of fundamental news on currency pair movements

The Diploma Thesis deals with influence of announcing economic indicators on currency exchange rate AUD/USD. The Thesis focuses on fundamental news announced in Australia, USA and China, as these play a significant role in forming of analyzed currency exchange rate. The first part includes general description of fundaments, explanation of investor's psychology, description of world's most important banks, because the financial world waits for their announcements and reacts upon them. Next subchapter of thesis focuses on central bank of Australia and its monetary policy. The research itself is situated in the second part of the thesis, containing testing the influence of fundamental news on logarithmic return of exchange rate AUD/USD, using linear regression analysis. The objective of this part is to find out what is the influence of news on exchange rate return of AUD/USD. The last part examines whether investing strategies based on announcing fundamental news can bring profit to the investor or the efficient market theory will be confirmed.
Rights related to the real estate property acquisitions in international comparison

Diploma thesis concerns about legal regulations of real estate by new civil codex with reflection to the previous and international legal regulation.The aim of the thesis is to assess the functionality of new civil code and its benefits in the real estate investment transactions in Czech Republic. This analysis is supported with overview of transfrontier real estate acquisitions made by foreign investors in Czech Republic and additionally also real estate investments of Czech investors abroad. This thesis therefore tries to provide answers to multiple questions ranging from analysis of new civil codex regulation, its impacts, risks and functionality then secondly its similarities in comparison to foreign law regulation (of Germany, Austria, Great Britain, Italy and France). From the perspective of transfrontier real estate acquisitions this thesis concerns about law acknowledgement for foreigner parties in real estate transactions in Czech Republic and counterbalance of the similar rights on the side of Czech residents in reciprocal acquisition process. The analysis is supported by the debate of accuracy of either liberal or protectionist attitude to foreign real estate investors' regulation with a reflection to current international political, sociological and economical course of events.
