Diplomová práce se zabývá bezhotovostní formou placení, která v poslední době nabývá na celosvětovém významu. Hotovost je postupně vytlačována karetními transakcemi a mobilními platbami skrze nebankovní poskytovatele platebních služeb. Vyvstává otázka, co by se stalo, kdyby hotovost zcela vymizela a my bychom se ocitli ve "společnosti bez hotovosti". Právě toto na první pohled utopické téma je předmětem této diplomové práce. První část práce porovnává trh bezhotovostního placení v ČR a severní Evropě (která je v tomto ohledu nejvyspělejší) zejména z pohledu využití karet a mobilních plateb. Ve druhé části je zvláštní pozornost věnována fenoménu šedé ekonomiky a vlivu bezhotovostního placení na její objem. Součástí této kapitoly jsou také konkrétní doporučení pro ČR. Poslední částí jde do jádra problému a diskutuje konkrétní přínosy a problémy odstranění hotovosti. Kapitola je logicky členěna do oblasti bezpečnosti, nákladové analýzy a právních aspektů. This thesis is aimed at cashless payments which have recently gained worldwide significance. Cash is being gradually phased-out by card transactions and mobile payments via non-bank provider of payment services. A question arises of what would happen if cash would disappear in its entirety and we would find ourselves in a "cashless society". This topic which at first glance appears to be utopian is the subject of this thesis. The first part compares the market of cashless payments in the Czech Republic and in northern Europe (which is amongst the most developed), in particular with regard to the use of cards and mobile payments. The second part is concerned with the phenomenon of shadow economy and the influence of cashless payments on its volume. Concrete recommendations for the Czech economy are also the part of this chapter. The final part hits the essence of the issue and deals with concrete pros and cons of going cashless. The chapter is systematically divided into three parts - security, cost-benefit analysis and legal aspects.
