Octave to C++ Source-to-Source Compiler
Ševčík, Václav ; Křivka, Zbyněk (referee) ; Kolář, Martin (advisor)
It is difficult to use programs developed in the interactive programming environment Matlab for low-memory devices and for integration into projects without the language support. Therefore, the programs are converted into C++. In practice, manual transfer is used which significantly prolongs the time of the developing program. The work focuses on the automation of translation from Octave/Matlab to C++ using the Eigen library to enable matrix and vector operations. The translator allows 39 basic operations and 13 functions of the Octave language. Experiments show that this translation will reduce memory requirements of up to 99%
Development of Instrumentation during Compilation
Ševčík, Václav ; Peringer, Petr (referee) ; Smrčka, Aleš (advisor)
The focus of this master's thesis is on the topic of instrumentation during the compilation process in the LLVM compiler. The tool enables to instrument memory accesses and functions. The instrumentation is realized through adding a novel pass to the LLVM's optimalization phase. Information about variables are managed by the created framework. The framework is linked with the program. The overhead of the instrumentation increases duration of the program by about 14 % in the case of switched off indirect addressing and 23 % in the case of switched on indirect addressing. The main benefit of the work is the possibility of easy instrumentation of the program which can even monitor operation of local variables through indirect addressing) and support multithread programs. The framework is part of Testos's tools where it provides automatic instrumentation in the Spectra tool.
Development and optimization of SPE method for preconcentration and determination of fluorotelomeric alcohols in water
Ševčík, Václav ; Čabala, Radomír (advisor) ; Feltl, Ladislav (referee)
New GC-MS method combined with SPE preconcentration step has been developed and optimized for the determination of selected fluorotelomer alcohols in aqueous samples by advanced statistical method in this thesis. 1H,1H,2H,2H-perfluoro-1-octanol (6:2 FTOH) and 1H,1H,2H,2H-perfluoro-1-decanol (8:2 FTOH) have been selected as the analytes. The influence of several factors, such as the sample volume, the carrier gas pressure, the sampling time and the injector temperature on the system response have been studied during the optimization. Utilizing the statistical software Minitab 16 and series of experiments, the optimal values of relevant factors and a suitable type of ionization were found for both analytes. Limits of detection of GC-MS method are 0.24 ng/mL for 6:2 FTOH and 0.42 ng/mL for 8:2 FTOH. Several factors, such as the type and the volume of conditioning agent, the speed of conditioning, the speed of sample flow, the method of column drying, the type and the volume of eluent have been tested for SPE. The optima of these factors were determined using Minitab 16 software. The extraction efficiency dependence on the concentration and volume of the stock solution was used to set the limitation of SPE for the determination of fluorotelomer alcohols. The maximum volume of sample equals to 400 mL...

SPE optimization for determination of perfluorinated organic acids
Ševčík, Václav ; Čabala, Radomír (advisor) ; Pacáková, Věra (referee)
This thesis is focused on optimization of preparation of aqueous environmental samples for determination of persistent pollutants - perfluorinated organic acids, which are potentially dangerous for living organisms. The goal of the thesis is optimization of SPE conditions for preconcentration of these compounds for their determination by GC-MS. Perfluorinated organic acids with carbon chain lenghts of C6-C12 were selected as analytes. Effect of sample pH value, effect of type and elution solvent volume, addition of indifferent salt and ion pair reagent have been studied during the optimization. The results show that the extraction efficiency depends on analyte carbon chain length and reaches values from 75 to 110 % for C6 - C8 and 55 to 95 % for C9 - C12 acids. The overall increase in extraction efficiency was more pronounced for acids with shorter chain length (for C6 up to ten times), whereas for long chain acids the improvement was only moderate.

Business Plan
Bezděkovský, Jakub ; Kovář, František (advisor) ; Ševčík, Václav (referee)
Diploma thesis describe business plan - how to run a restaurant. It is focused on the sense of enterpreneurship and describes the structure of business plan, financial analysis of future company and psychological and philosophical aspects of modern ditet. The author deeply thaught about modern diet and try to describe future direction in Czech Republic and describe project of restaurant Stolovna "From farm to table" according to choosen strategy. The aim of this work is to make a guidebook for enterpreneurs, who wants to open their own restaurant or to change the current method of operation. The attention is focused on the new concept of restaurant "From farm to table" which begins to be very popular in Czech Republic. Author takes this thesis untraditionally and penetrated in secrets of business through foreign experience in London and through interviews with front gastronomical leaders in Czech Republic.
Fundamental analysis of the exchange rate of EUR/USD
Ševčík, Václav ; Brůna, Karel (advisor) ; Langer, Miroslav (referee)
The aim of this thesis is empirical verification of the fundamental theory of exchange rate determination in the case of the currency pair EUR/USD. The theoretical part is devoted to the issue of exchange rate theory, with emphasis on the importance of the currency pair EUR/USD, and major characteristics of the fundamental theory of exchange rate determination. Attention is also paid to methods of analysis of time series, which will be used in the analytical part. The analytical part is devoted to an empirical verification of the underlying theories. On the basis of these theories are developed econometric models, which are then tested using the methods of linear regression and cointegration. The results of the models and their relevance are discussed in conclusion.
