Using of EduScrum Method in Biology Education at the Lower Secondary School
Čížek, Tomáš ; Vojíř, Karel (advisor) ; Nejedlý, Adam (referee)
This work was focused on the eduScrum teaching method and its use in the teaching of biology at the second level of elementary school, specifically in the seventh and eighth grade. The main goal was to characterize this method and find out what the students reported as its strengths and weaknesses, what they took away for themselves and what threats they perceived. Also, what suggestions did they have for improving the method. A secondary goal was to define the goals of science education in general and to define activation methods, among which the EduScrum method belongs. A modified SWOT analysis was chosen as a research tool. The students' statements were further processed qualitatively using the open coding method. The result of the research part showed that the students mentioned teamwork as the main strength of the EduScrum method. Non-cooperation was mentioned by the students as the weakest aspect. This paradox was explained on the basis of two theories of motivation - self- determination and mind-set. The greatest benefit for the pupils was the deepening of knowledge in the given topics. The students saw the greatest threat in non-cooperation and the related risks of missing work and receiving a bad grade. In order to improve the method, the students presented mostly irrelevant proposals that...

Author: Vojtech Hedbavny Title: The effect of individual training in specialized goalie skating and skills on the speed of performing shuffle, T-push and slide in youth categories. Objectives: The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to test ice hockey goaltenders in the speed of their T-push, shuffle, and slide movements by creating a testing battery and training program, and subsequently comparing their results over a period of two months. Another objective is to determine whether the goaltender's age has an influence on the extent of the time change in the test. Methods: The research was conducted by testing nineteen ice hockey goalkeepers aged between eight and nineteen years. The entire experiment lasted for nine weeks during the competitive season. At the beginning of the first week, the initial testing took place, and at the end of the last week, the final testing occurred. Training stimulation took place during the nine weeks between the tests. Empirical quantitative research in the form of test measurements was used to gather data. For comparing the results in individual tests and illustrating the relationship between age and the rate of change over time in the test, I utilized a table, Spearman's correlation coefficient, and a box plot graph in Microsoft Excel. Results: Improvement was...

Evaluation of Social Competencies of Hluboká nad Vltavou Police Officers from the Clients' Point of View
JINDRA, Jaromír
The thesis examines the performance of social competences by members of the Police of the Czech Republic and evaluates it from the perspective of clients. The clear focus of the police is working with people who are often in a difficult social situation. In doing so, they encounter perhaps all types of clients affected by complex problems, such as domestic violence, social exclusion, substance abuse, family pathology, dealing with families, individuals, the elderly, the sick, etc. In the Czech environment, however, the social competences of police officers are not researched, evaluated and regulated in any way. In this case, the management and organisation of the police relies only on the personal approach of the worker without wider research and addressing the issue. This thesis attempts to link the quite obvious relationship between police performance and social work, offering a comparison with the organisation and management of this issue in foreign practice. The aim of the thesis was to determine the level of satisfaction with the performance of social competences among the police officers of Hluboká nad Vltavou from the perspective of their clients. To achieve this, three hypotheses were set, examining client satisfaction with social competence and satisfaction with the services provided, then examining this in terms of the client's position in which they deal with the police, and finally in the context of demographic indicators. The results of the research confirmed a clear relationship between the level of satisfaction with social competences and the services provided. On the contrary, it was refuted that satisfaction was significantly influenced by age, educational attainment, gender or the position in which the client interacts with the police. The anticipated contribution to practice is in interpreting how the public actually perceives the social skills of the police. The results can serve as a basis for developing and modifying these skills and for practically linking social work with the performance of the riot police service, especially through insights from foreign literature and supervision.

The degree of preparedness of the population for emergency survival
ŠAFROVÁ, Veronika
Awareness and readiness of people during emergency survival is a issue, which is not as easy to fix as it can seem on a first sight. Lifestyle and the ability of people to get their food resources is very different then it was before year 1989. As the society grows in a global and modern way, the level of independence is decreasing. All services, products and foods are within our arm's reach. We can state, that we live in a time of affluence - for now. This began to change rapidly two years ago, when the pandemic started or the corona virus as we know it. Many households have realized, that during quarantine they are dependent on their friends and family, because without shopping food, they wouldn't endure longer than 10 to 14 days. The corona virus epidemic wasn't the only test during the last two years that a lot of people had to go through. Another catastrophes were large floods, recent tornado in Moravia or ongoing safety threat in Ukraine. Another ongoing catastrophe is large wild fire in Bohemian Switzerland. This wild fire is a threat to properties, health and life to people and animals, but also protection of national park Bohemian Switzerland. This rapid downhill during last few months is a clear indicator, that the situation on our continent is shifting. Therefore population should slowly return to a partial independence, because if someone wouldn't do this in time, they might pay the highest price in the future. The issue of awareness and readiness of population for emergency survival based on author's research is very low. New generation is dealing with completely different habits, than our grand parents and great grand parents. Therefore author decided to do her own research and it confirmed her assumption. Result of the research confirmed, that actual readiness of population for emergency survival in crisis situations or catastrophes is truly very low. Author of these results got her answers based on her own research through electronic questionnaire. 555 households answered this questionnaire and 1188 individuals showed their interest. Another results of this test is, that if we compare our generation or generation of our parents, results are almost zero. Although results confirmed, that there is a huge difference in generation of our grand parents. Awareness of population in general across generations is on better level, however readiness is low as many people and households won't admit any catastrophes. Even though last few events show something else. Author decided to choose a questionnaire survey and based on these results do an examination and assessment of the level of readiness of the population for emergency survival. As another goal of the thesis the author processed basic characteristics of emergency survival of individuals or households. This characteristic can partially help novices to get prepared for upcoming situations. In foreign countries they use words as prepper or survival, which describes someone who is getting ready for extraordinary events or crisis situations. This basic characteristic can help people to gain knowledge and increase protection. This knowledge can also increase their safety. Because most of household consist from more than one individual, it's important to learn again how to safely take care of their own and their close ones. We mustn't depend on others or on the country to take care of us. It is needed to partially get back to our roots, knowledge and skills from our ancestors. We never know when we can benefit from these experiences or when they can even safe our lives. Result of this thesis is to lead respondents to change their way of thinking about this issue of emergency survival. Goal wasn't to scare or convince respondents, however to point on certain situations that could happen, so that they can prepare better.
Master thesis
AMBROŽOVÁ, Anna
The aim of this master thesis is to design such products, for a primary-school subject called "Technical education", in the area of manual metalworking, so students can get familiar with various methodological procedures. Making of these products should be meaningful and simultaneously, students should enjoy the creative process. In the theoretical part, I focused on the educational area called "Člověk a svět práce", and on the educational programme of work with technical material at primary school. I also included the basics of metals and their properties. The inseparable part of my thesis is the summary of occupational safety and hygiene in the school workroom. My thesis also involves reading of technical drawings and methods of manual metalworking. This part is written with the help of specialised literature. For the practical part, I choose five products which I described and tried to make them by myself. In this part, I created questionnaires where I followed up on these products and sent them to teachers and students. One questionnaire is for pupils of "Základní škola Týn nad Vltavou, Malá Strana". Sixty-two respondents answered ten questions. The second questionnaire is for teachers who work at primary schools in South Bohemia. The teachers answered twelve questions.
Competences, abilities and skills of floorball and hockey coaches
KARAS, Stanislav
This bachelor thesis deals with the competencies and abilities of floorball and hockey coaches. In terms of management, we can compare these coaching competencies, abilities and skills with the work of managers, who usually manage a larger group of people than coaches, but the ways of working with people are similar. In the bachelor thesis, floorball and hockey coaches are tested in the form of a standardized questionnaire of the ABCDE classification type. The questions are created in the questionnaire to target the behaviour of coaches in individual situations. It depends mainly on the use of competencies and abilities that the coach has at his disposal. From the result of the questionnaire we create an analysis of coaching behaviour. From which an outline is then created of what an ordinary current coach looks like. This outline is comparable to a team, how a coach should work. The aim of the work is to analyze the key competencies of floorball and hockey coaches, to determine the current state in the use of competencies, abilities and skills of these coaches and to suggest possible solutions.
