Evaluation of Investment with the Usage of Fuzzy Logic

Master ’s thesis deals with evaluation of investment using advanced methods of analysis and modeling with regards to the best offer. The content of the thesis consists of creating two decision making systems based on fuzzy logic. The thesis also contains a theoretical basics which are necessary for the creation of both systems and evaluating the benefits of the solution.
Assessment of the effect selected investments on the financial situation of enterprise

The investment and the decision about them are one of the most important activities in the company. The deci-sion can significantly affect the company. Bad decision can cause a bankruptcy in the worst case. Other way the good decision can cause in the future growth and development. It is very important for the company to make a good decision. The company can compete better. The company XYZ, whose data are choosen in the bacheleor thesis, make decision for the investment to the fixed asset specially the extension of the production hall. It increases the volume of manufactured products. The realization of the hall is financed from the subsidy of Ministry of Industry and Trade. The subsidy covers one third of the price. The rest is paid from the bank loan. In the work there are described the pre-investment preparation, different ways of investments and cases of invest. There are described the methods of evaluating the effectiveness of investments. In the second practical part there is counted the effectiveness of the specific investment. Then there is created the prediction to the future. In the end of the work the prediction is compared with the real status, which occurred in the company.
Impact of direct investments to development of communities

This bachelor thesis is focused on the theoretical effects of foreign direct investments onto development of communities. The main objective is to explore if and how the inflow of foreign investments influences the development of local municipality. To explore the objective, basic mathematical functions are used and the result tells us the amount of funds paid to the municipal budget from companies with direct foreign funding. Other results tell us how significant this income is for the chosen municipality. In the practical part of the thesis closely focuses on the impact of direct investment on the development of the towns of Klatovy, Pisek and Žďár nad Sázavou

The first part concentrates on theoretical division and description of individual possibilities of financing. The second part analyze the best of the chosen possibilities of financing.

In the theoretical part used and traditional approaches for the suitable implementation selection are described. The author also evaluates the efficiency of the given investment and the selection of the financial resources. Effectiveness of Cycling Transport Infrastructure Investment in Regional Development. Region Orlicko-Třebovsko Case Study.

This paper evaluates the benefits of investments in cycling infrastructure for regional development. The case study deals with socio-economic impacts of cycling transport infrastructure built for the Orlicko-Třebovsko region. The main thesis does not assume profitability of such investments in socio-economic realm of the region. Overall societal benefit has been assessed through the cost-benefit analysis. Individual elements of the analysis are focused on short-term, long-term, direct and indirect effects for the development of the region. The benefits are to be found in connection with implementation, management and operation of the project as well as transport sector, services sector and recreation. Specific positive effects take mainly the form of business sales, employment and savings for the population. The analysis has taken note of certain positive effect that is nevertheless economically inadequate to the amount of initial investment. Therefore in this case cycling transport infrastructure proved to be ineffective tool of regional development.
The concept of investor in international agreements on the protection of investments

The term "investor" in international investment agreements The aim of this thesis is to explain, compare and evaluate the meaning of investor as one of the key terms used in the area of international investment protection. From a systematic point of view, international investment activities are governed by international economic law, which is a sub-discipline of public international law. Foreign investment as a transfer of assets from one country to another in order to generate wealth is a kind of activity known and done since the era of colonialism or even before. The subjects carrying out these operations are called investors. However the framework of international investment protection as we know it today started out when the so called bilateral investment treaties (BITs) became commonly used to protect and promote international investing. These treaties entered into by states as sovereign members of the international community stipulated conditions to protect each other's investors in order to stimulate the flow of free capital over the borders. Impact of remittances on investments, financial development and economic growth. Case study Moldava

Economic integration starts to be achieved faster through the international labor mobility than due to international trade or capital movements. Remittances, important international capital flows, became one of the most discussed topics in world. The migrant's transfers have become the primary source of existence in Moldova. This paper using data on transfer of funds for the period 1995-2010, attempts to examine the relationship between remittances and financial development, economic growth and investment level of Republic of Moldova. The main finding of this study is that remittances influence significantly the economic growth, the investment level. Moreover, these funds substitute for a shortage of development of the financial system and therefore promote growth. The diploma thesis deals with defining basic notions of development projects, investment, building assessment and building operations and relations for evaluation of economic efficiency of development project. Further, it deals with issues of building operations assessment and explanation of relations for evaluation of economic efficiency of investment projects. In the practical part, it focuses on description of the planned development project and determination of its possible options. Then, they are analyzed and the most effective is chosen.
