Marketing territorial et écotourisme : Le portefeuille de projet Ardenne Attractivity au c?ur du développement territorial durable ardennais
PACCAUT, Ilane
Territorial initiatives have gained in importance in the promotion of sustainable regional development, due to their ability to take into account the particularities and specific needs of each region. The European Union is actively encouraging such initiatives in order to extend sustainable development throughout its territory. Rural areas, far from urban centers or located on the periphery of major communication routes, as well as those on national borders, can particularly benefit from a sustainable development approach adapted to their unique characteristics. Based on a qualitative study including three interviews, this thesis highlights the role played by strengthening the "Ardenne" tourist destination in the sustainable development of the Ardennes cross-border territory. Generally speaking, it appears that territorial development is based on resources, both material and immaterial, which are specific to each territory, and which are coordinated and enhanced within a project such as the Ardenne Attractivity project portfolio. Integrating the sustainable dimension, in line with its original definition, can be more complex in a territorial project. However, sustainability is an obvious and innovative concept in the Ardennes cross-border context, even if its integration into the overall territorial project requires further reflection.
A comparison of Chinese and Czech oversea urban tourism
Wang, Yajing ; Testa, Alessandro (advisor) ; Hejlová, Denisa (referee)
The behaviour of tourists is a significant part of tourism research. Studies of tourist behaviour in China, the USA, the UK, and Germany are common. However, few studies have been conducted on the behaviour of Czech tourists, and even fewer have compared the behaviour of Chinese and Czech tourists. This study is based on Chinese and Czech tourists. It uses semi-structured interviews to collect data and uses thematic analysis to analyse and compare the travel behaviour of tourists from these two countries. The main areas of similarities and differences are found in travel motivation, information collection, tourist experience, and sharing habits. Because of the widespread use of social media nowadays, this study also explored the impact of social media on tourists from both countries while comparing travel behaviour. The results show social media does influence in terms of information seeking and travel sharing. However, tourists in both countries are aware of the impact of social media. The study results fill a gap in the English language literature on the tourism behaviour of Czech tourists and provide a basis for more in-depth research on Chinese and Czech tourism. Key words: Czech Tourism Chinese Tourism Tourist Motivation Information Collection Tourist Authenticity Tourist Photo- Sharing Social...
The Influence of Cross-border Cooperation on the competitiveness of Euroregions
COUSSI, Ann-Charlotte
The aim of this thesis is to analyze the influence of cross-border cooperation on the competitiveness of border regions, here Franco-German. For this purpose, the study focuses on two European integration models located on the eastern part of France on the border with Germany: Euroregion TriRhena and Eurodis-trict Pamina. The influence of cross-border cooperation on the competitiveness of Euroregions and Eurodistricts is analyzed through the presentation and evalua-tion of the organization, objectives, areas of competences as well as through the actions and funding of these organizations. The activities and the results of the two chosen examples are compared with respect to beneficial and unfavorable outcomes that may result, revealing also the development opportunities provided by each structure. After presentation of the theoretical context, different forms of cross-border cooperation and the European framework recommended for the integration models are outlined. Finally, discussions around the concept of com-petitiveness are reported. In a second part, the methodological approach includ-ing the choice of the case studies, the data collected and the analysis criteria, is outlined. In a third part, results are compared, evaluated and discussed in order to answer the research question: Does cross-border cooperation improve the competitiveness of Euroregions and Eurodistricts?
International law of succession focusing on European regulation
Káplová, Eva ; Pfeiffer, Magdalena (advisor) ; Pauknerová, Monika (referee)
International law of succession focusing on European regulation The aim of my thesis is the international Law of Succession with emphasis on the European Regulation No. 650/2012 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 4 July 2012 on jurisdiction, applicable law, recognition and enforcement of decisions and acceptance and enforcement of authentic instruments in matters of succession and on the creation of a European Certificate on Succession. The regulation of succession will apply to succession proceedings with an international element concerning those who died after 17 August 2015. The purpose of the regulation is to simplify and expedite such proceedings within the European Union. In principle, the ruling on the entire estate of the testator should be decided in the course of a single succession proceeding in order to avoid conflicts in court judgments that could occur if the procedure was split into different countries. Furthermore, the diploma thesis deals with the concept of border determinant in international law, where habitual residence becomes increasingly important, while other borderline determinants such as domicile or nationality already lose their importance. I also explain the term 'estate planning' in my paper, i.e. the arrangement of inheritance conditions of the future...
Inheritance under Regulation No. 650/2012 of the European Parliament and the Council
Průšová, Terezie ; Růžička, Květoslav (advisor) ; Pfeiffer, Magdalena (referee)
This thesis deals with the Regulation (EU) No 650/2012 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 4 July 2012 on jurisdiction, applicable law, recognition and enforcement of decisions and acceptance and enforcement of authentic instruments in matters of succession and on the creation of a European Certificate of Succession (regulation on succession). This regulation will be applicable in the matters of successions with cross-border implications of people who will decease on 17 August 2015 or later. Regulation on succession unifies legislation in matters of succession with cross-border implications, both in terms of substantive law and procedural law. This regulation has been expected for a long time in the European Union because the succession matters were expressly excluded from the scope of other regulations. Also thanks to the free movement of persons, the unification of this area of law is becoming more necessary from day to day. The preparation of this regulation and the connected discussions lasted several years. Not only for the numerous differences between the national rules of the Member States but also for the intention to create a complete unification of the substantive law, the succession proceedings itself and of the recognition, enforceability and enforcement of decisions. In...
