Quality assurance of RHEL systems with a high level of security
Javorský, Lukáš ; Matěj,, Týč (oponent) ; Sedlák, Petr (vedoucí práce)
The aim of this thesis is to develop a quality assurance pipeline for RHEL operating systems with security hardening. This thesis is driven by the desire to develop a user-friendly testing environment for quality engineers, allowing them to easily verify the functionality of system packages in security security-hardened testing environment. The achievable outcome was realized by the integration of Red Hat's existing software portfolio, namely Image Builder, and OpenSCAP, resulting in the establishment of pre-hardened virtual machines. Subsequently, integration with Red Hat's test management application Testing Farm, serves to simplify virtual image provisioning and providing an established testing pipeline.
Automated Testing of Smart Cards
Yadlouski, Pavel ; Očenášek, Pavel (oponent) ; Homoliak, Ivan (vedoucí práce)
This bachelor thesis deals with automated testing of smart cards in Red Hat Enterprise Linux. The problem of manual testing is solved by creating a new testing library. This library is responsible for configuring the test environment and providing a way for the tester to interact with that environment in an automated way. As a result, we created a new universal library for testing the support of smart cards. The primary goal is to implement the testing library by itself, after that to transfer manual test into the code using created library and run those automated tests in Red Hat internal pipelines.
Automatické zpracování pokrytí kódu u jádra operačního systému GNU/Linux
Doktor, Lukáš ; Horák, Karel (oponent) ; Honec, Jozef (vedoucí práce)
Řeší automatické získávání profilačních informací jádra operačního systému GNU/Linux. Využívá spojení existujícího projektu gcov-kernel, Red Hat Test System a volitelných testovacích programů. Red Hat Test System pomáhá s instalací a nastavení počítače. Modifikované jádro umožňuje přistupovat k profilačním datům běžícího jádra. Po ukončení práce jsou tyto informace zpracovány do lidsky čitelné formy.
Intelligent house for elderly people
Doktor, Lukáš ; Fiedler, Petr (oponent) ; Kučera, Pavel (vedoucí práce)
The author addresses the question of intelligent building for elderly or disabled people. It uses standard x86 architecture as the hearth of the house using SmartHome communication module \cite{Doktor:2010} to handle the home equipments. The main advantage of this project is very intuitive and simple user interface. This interface was especially designed to make people like it and use it. This was achieved by creating MythTV plug-in running on top of GNU/Linux operation system. Another significant income is special Fedora GNU/Linux installation script which automatically installs and configures the target computer.
Reduction of CentOS operating system
Kluka, Peter Milan ; Jablončík, Lukáš (oponent) ; Komosný, Dan (vedoucí práce)
This thesis serves as a supporting material for the course Networking Operating Systems for the implementation of the course project. This project has an artificial goal which is to reduce the size of the operating system. The specified operating system was the Linux distribution CentOS Stream 8. The reduced system includes a graphical web browser, a PDF document viewer and is accessible via a remote SSH connection. The thesis compares sizes of required graphical frameworks and applications. Based on the analysis a set of scripts was created to automate the minimalization process. The resulting size of the reduced system was 678 MB.
